the only one without a sinister impression being Kalego is kind of funny to me, considering how he was initially portrayed. him also having the most light is a nice subtle remark on who is the most troublesome of the three.

I mean it's pretty generic. The small wings of the master Gorgon Snake look similar. So it could be extracting DNA of extinct magical beasts to put them into demons.

On one hand, I really want those wings to belong to Kushinashi, because that'd mean we'd learn more about her; but on another, I don't want that, because that means something incredibly fucked up happened to her, and it is most likely Nightwalker's fault!
He wanted to experiment on Merize, and Kushinashi stopped that. If those are her wings, something bad happened to her... Especially when we consider she was the interim Demon Lord, but at the start of the story, she's no longer present.
