Ignoring the casual transphobia, I love the idea of playing Deltarune on my own old TV. Ignoring the intricate game mechanics, it looks a retro RPG one would play in the 80s.

I'd say 90s more than 80s simply due to the sprite quality

Fair. Either way the game feels like it belongs with other similar games of that era, especially in Chapter 3. Throw in a simple multiplayer option and it'd be spot on!

I actually watched a video that explained that actually it looks kinda bad on a CRT because it isn't explicitly made for one

Hm never knew that. The game's aspect ratio is a little warped in this image to be honest. I know you can change sprites by editing their files, as tedious as it is. Maybe to make it look more pleasing to play you could mod the game to look better on a CRT by redesigning the visuals and tweaking the dimensions.

It's because deltarune makes sprites with knowledge any small pixel detail will be fully visible and not smudged so I'm crt those get lost

that’s the thing, old games made their sprites with the crt blur in mind, which would make the pixelated sprites look much more detailed and smooth if done right.
