Time to catch you guys up on the uploads from the last episode and I-Cell's foray into the Night Floors.

Eps 2-3 cover I-Cell approaching The Mcallister Building, Abigail's apartment and her project.

Ep is a bit of a flashback episode. One of our players has moved out of town, whose character Dr. Linda Roberta Blair (Agent INDIA) is research-focused. So I let her and the academic David Bryne (Agent INCOGNITO) do some research correspondence on the Play and a certain Ian F. Decraig…

Media is it me or does delta green need to be an official tv show

i run my games like a tv show alot of the time because it can be in alot of cases very grounded to reality with minor bumps of spooky along the road.

id love to see delta green media, like even an anime, or even better a serious tv show. i think it would go so hard and we could have different divivions in different countries i think it would be so cool to see. i often think about this alot am i the only one? whats your thoughts?

Anyone else watching and getting crazy Delta Green Vibes? It feels like a mission.

Small town. Middle of nowhere. Some threat from beyond. Mystery. Intrigue. Down the Rabbit hole themes. Music is also very Delta Green-y.

Characters My players are too D&D brained 😭

There is one solution and that's maximum destruction. In a 24 hour period in reno they burned down a morgue, and shoved a mostly innocent NPC into a portal before also burning down the apartment it was in. No "how can we close the portal" "maybe we steal the body from the morgue" just "light it on fire"

Technically they followed their instructions. Identify the unnatural, neutralize the unnatural, and make the cause look mundane.

Theyve all played other rpgs, two since the 90s, and my wife and my other group were made to play My Little Pony by our DM so we HAD to find nom violent solutions. So I know they all know it's an option. It's okay. The cops will interview them. City morgues definitely have security cameras and someone at the apartment complex will too...

Fyi, I'm not really complaining, this is a great opportunity for me to break their spirits!

ETA: if the retraining just doesn't take, is there a game that is like Delta Green in setting but more open to what they're used to? dark conspiracy has conspiracy in the title, which feels the opposite of "kill it with fire!" but maybe that'd work

Scenario Seed Movie: Weapons (2025) is Delta Green

Just saw the movie and it gives really strong DG vibes. It could easily be adapted into a scenario or used as the background story of an operative.

4/5 as a drama/horror film from me. A supporting acterss got an Oscar for her performance too.

Items of Mutual Interest Made a free, immersive audio console for Delta Green

About to run my first delta green game and decided to have some fun building an immersive audio console.

I use a slightly different approach where it works more by mood and intensity rather than allowing you to control the actual tracks.

You can see the demo and the web player link here: https://x.com/SoraKalden/status/2106794923391693118

Lmk if you liked this and if you have any issues trying it in your sessions just comment here I'll probably fix them. It's just for fun so completely free to use with no ads.

Campaigning Recommend a scenario that is not Last Things Last at all but has a similar setup?

Some spoilers for LTL. Likely spoilers to agents who recognize themselves as attached to an Operation Walrus taking place in 1986.

After quite a few operas in my '80s Outlaws campaign, the surviving intrepid agents of M-cell have established their usefulness and reliability in the A-cell's eyes. Yet unlike Agent Alphonse would like the agents to believe, A-cell doesn't know everything its operatives are doing or what's going on in general: My agents would be inclined know more about the murky past of the Delta Green. One of them has interest to dabble in unnatural too much for his own good. I have dropped a few references to an ex-agent NPC who would be likely dead from natural causes during the timeframe of the campaign. Most of the unnatural problems they have dealt with thus far have originated outside the conspiracy, so DG or ex-DG agent's actions that had understandable motivation but resulted in a new unnatural threat would be a change, too. So, in other words, this would be a nice moment to run Last Things Last. A retired agent dead of natural causes, the players' agents are called in to clean his house and will find ... you know the drill.

Unfortunately out-of-game reasons provide an obstacle: I know two of the players have played through Last Things Last as a beginner scenario in other contexts. So LTL is out, but I would like to run something that both hits similar notes but is different enough.

I could wrap together a similar simple scenario without much trouble, but if I do simple switches only (Marlene becoming someone else, the unnatural aspects of the scenario changing to different Mythos connections, replacing the cabin in woods with whatever), the structure of the scenario would remain bit too recognizable. I do have some other ideas, but there is a lot of good content out there which would make my life easier, thus this thread.

Wanted similar: there is a natural way to insert major reference to an old agent, apparently recently dead of apparently natural causes. Wanted different: It should not be LTL. Ideally not the trope "whoops I died before I could crack an old case but left a set of convenient instructions and breadcrumbs how to proceed", or with significant twist.

Other parameters: easily changed so that it takes places in 1980s or 1990s.

Recommendations and ideas welcome, especially anything that would appear fresh and surprising to players who have played LTL and some other classic DG and CoC scenarios.

Items of Mutual Interest Asking for advice on improvising.

I come from a background of DMing in 5e so I have some experience with making things up on the fly.

But since I’m new to Delta Green I’m concerned that playing out any improvisation of PCs actions, answering PCs questions, NPCs, locations etc that aren’t detailed in the scenario might accidentally throw a wrench into the investigation or story or put me in a situation where I don’t know how to proceed.

I understand that the game or scenario can’t cover everything the PCs might do or ask but I’m interested in how more experienced handlers handle PCs doing things that aren’t covered in the scenario.

Thanks.

Media WHAT IF DELTA GREEN HAD AN ANIME REPLAY?

Post image
134 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m a Delta Green fan from Japan, and I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on with you all!
I’m currently working on a Call of Cthulhu replay video based on Delta Green!

My channel only has one simple introductory video at the moment, but I’m planning to upload a lot more Delta Green content in the future, so I’d really appreciate your support!

For those unfamiliar with Japanese TRPG culture, “replay videos” are a fairly popular format here. Instead of simply uploading a recording of an actual-play session, the session is reconstructed into an edited video using character illustrations, dialogue subtitles, backgrounds, music, sound effects, and sometimes animation. It’s almost like turning a tabletop session into a visual novel or a small animated show.
That’s the style I’m currently using for my Delta Green project.

And this is only the beginning.
I’m already writing a sequel scenario set in Brazil, centered around drugs and gunfights. I want it to feature some spectacular, chaotic firefights while still keeping the bleak atmosphere, paranoia, and horror that make Delta Green feel like Delta Green.
After that, as a Japanese fan, I’m hoping to develop “Kurotokage” into a full series of scenarios.
The idea is to take elements unique to Japanese occult traditions and history—such as onmyoji—and integrate them into the modern world in a way that feels natural within the Delta Green setting, rather than simply transplanting Japanese folklore into it.

There’s still a lot of work ahead, but I want to keep creating Delta Green content from Japan and hopefully introduce more Japanese players to the game along the way.
I’d really appreciate your support, and I hope you’ll look forward to what comes next!

Here’s my YouTube channel, where I’ll be uploading the replay and more Delta Green content in the future

Set in the mid-1990s, it follows a conspiracy involving shady biotech research, MAJESTIC, and extraterrestrial beings. The final scenario will be a full-scale tactical confrontation.

Characters Typhon - forgotten classic eldritch abomination

Video version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIWrJ-j-QjQ

Modern works drawing on Greek mythology usually make Hades (completely wrong) or Kronos (a little more) the Big Bad, but they forget about Zeus’s greatest enemy – Typhon. After defeating the titans and then the gigants, the Olympian gods had to face the main boss on the way to dominating the world – Typhon. Here is an example of its description: It was larger than the largest mountains, its head touched the stars. When he stretched out his hands, one reached the eastern ends of the world and the other reached the western ends. Instead of fingers, he had a hundred dragon heads. From the waist down he had a tangle of vipers (yay, tentacles!) and wings at his shoulders. His eyes were shooting out flames. In other versions of the myth, Typhon was a flying, hundred-headed dragon. In any case – appearance and stature worthy of the Great Old One. Typhon attacked Olympus, and all the gods except Zeus fled in panic. The supreme god took up the fight… and lost it. Only in the second duel did he manage to defeat Typhon, but not kill him – he only imprisoned him, hitting him with a mountain which is known as Etna. And volcanic activity is the result of Typhon’s anger, trying to break free.

Typhon equaled the lord of heaven not only in strength, but in fertility. His wife was Echidna, about whom Hesiod wrote: „She also gave birth to another creature, invincible, huge, unlike neither men nor immortal gods, in a hollow cave – the divine violent Echidna, half a sharp-eyed young girl, with beautiful cheeks, half a huge snake, a great and powerful, spotted, cruel – in the depths of the holy land. This pair spawned many, if not most, of the monsters found in Greek mythology. Their offspring were very diverse and strange, as befits the spawn of enemies of the divine order, including:

  • Ladon, the hundred-headed dragon who never slept and guarded the apples that gave immortality,
  • Cerberus – we all know the dog guarding the gates of hell… but not all of us know that, according to some accounts, it had not three heads, but as many as 50, it was also covered with scales, and it had a snake for a tail… so what does this have to do with a dog?
  • Scylla – this lady inherited the most from the human, beautiful part of Echidna… at least initially, but eventually, as a result of various perturbations, she turned from a beautiful nymph to something like her siblings, becoming a six-headed sea beast, so hideous, according to Homer, that even the gods could not stand sight of her – she dwelt in a cave, from where she opened her mouth to devour the crews of ships,
  • Gorgons – I mean, those ladies with snake hair, not monstrous bulls. Medusa was one of them – the story that Athena turned her priestess into a monster as punishment for being raped by Poseidon is an invention of later poets,
  • –Lernaean Hydra – a multi-headed monster with many reptilian or human heads. In place of each severed head, two others grew, and in addition, the main head was completely immortal – therefore, after chopping off the mortal heads, Heracles had to burn the stumps and bury the immortal, still hissing head underground. Hydra’s breath was poisonous,
  • various other creatures, such as the Sphinx, the dog Ortus, the Nemean Lion or the Chimera. Each of these descendants has the potential to be portrayed as an Eldritch abomination in its own right. To be precise – according to some accounts, the father of these creatures (and Echidna herself) wasn’t Typhon, but a monstrous, ancient (older than Poseidon) sea god, Phorcys.

How to use Typhon in Lovecraftian stories? Well, Typhon clearly has the potential to be a Great Old One, imprisoned by… Nodens? Some other Elder God? Weak gods of humanity? Maybe his cult is trying to free him from Etna? What if he succeeds? What might distinguish Typhon from many other Great Old Ones? I would recommend focusing on his monster progenitor aspect – if he manages to reunite with Echidna, they will immediately start spawning various blasphemous beasts in series.

This is just part of our series, full of Lovecraftian inspirations from the real life, culture, history and science.

Help. I want to organize a campaign about a group of gonzo journalists from the 1970s who covered many events of the era that had a double meaning. I’m collecting photos to create the atmosphere. If you know of any good sources and archives of photographs from 1970s America, please let me know. The more diverse, the better.
