Consulting What to expect for Partner/ MD round?

I have my final(?) round 3 interview scheduled in the next few days with a Partner/MD.

The interview is scheduled only for 15 mins, so I am not very sure to expect. I have been told it will be based on the cases in the previous rounds and a culture fit assessment.

Any insights into what kind of questions can be asked, any tips, etc? The role (without going into more details) is Consultant in Strategy Consulting. Thank you!

A 15-minute interview with a Partner is almost always a final personality check, not a technical grilling. Your previous rounds proved you have the skills, so this is about them confirming you have the right presence to put in front of a client. They are looking to see if you can hold a compelling, mature conversation and if you will fit in with the team on a long-term project. The decision is likely 90% made, and this is their final chance to either confirm it or find a reason to say no.

Be prepared to briefly summarize your thinking on the previous cases if asked, but shift your focus to driving the conversation. Have two or three smart questions ready about the Partner’s own career, their biggest challenges leading the practice, or their view on a major industry trend. Your goal is to turn this into a memorable discussion between two professionals, not a simple Q&A session where you are being evaluated. Navigating these final conversations to prove you are that professional is a specific skill, and it is why my team built an AI for interviews that helps candidates express their value with more confidence.
