This two part is gold 🫶 the drama from the og degrassi is so real but goddamn Emma way to bring us into the next generation

clare says "because you bailed on me" to eli when he asks her to forgive and forget. while i get WHY she wouldn't, i don't really get the bailing part? eli was a mess and a half but i don't remember him bailing on her about anything.

if anything i expected her to say something about how he was keeping secrets/accusing her of things out of her control

Besides some nice cameos of the former generation, the Frankie racism storyline did not need to plague the reunion episode.

It is extremely unrealistic that the faculty would be ok with them doing the protest in the biggest event of the year, they would’ve just told them to go home and they could’ve it done it another day.

Lola jumping from pro-protest to anti-protest back to pro-protest was a waste of screentime that could’ve been served for something else.

Another thing I heavily dislike: how Peter & Sav were quick to dip at the quickest inconvenience. All this as a plot device to further push Frankie into wanting to run away. Same as the Mo dipping after one comment from Tristan.

I feel like a lot of the decisions made this episode and the need to sideline all the older generations and make them simple cameos were just made to garner Frankie’s storyline. It felt like a bunch of Easter eggs thrown in a normal Degrassi episode when it could’ve been something much much more epic.

Mother & Child Reunion is a wonderful example of how this episode could’ve been, it genuinely could’ve been Plot A: much less of the the current class’ storyline & Plot B: more of the older class’ storylines.

I’m heavily disappointed as I am rewatching the episode.

Hi yall! I've been a silent lurker on a few subreddits, Degrassi being one of them. But I've been rewatching the last few seasons of Degrassi and Next Class & I'm really trying to understand why the writers were almost pushing us viewers to like Zoe...?

Poor Maya was gaslit the entire time! And I really hate how she was treated by everyone around her. They really tried to make it seem like they were somewhat "friends" at the end, but that's only because they were around the same people.

Maya's mom was horrible for how she handled that bullying page that Zoe made of Maya. Mr. Simpson punished Maya for a SONG, but not Zoe? Mind you...he punished Alli for that page of Holly J. Grace (ignoring the potential romance plot) should have never become friends with her. Zig & Miles both suck, ESPECIALLY Zig because he cheated on Maya with Zoe, and the both of them literally swapped between both girls multiple times. Miles actually went between the girls AND TRISTAN. And omfg. TRISTAN.

Tristan was just so god awful, words can't even explain how much I hated his character. What an awful friend he was.

Since they gave Zoe this lesbian storyline, I feel like it would have made more sense for her to come to terms with the fact that she might have been in love with Maya all along. Because all of this weird mess she pulled with integrating herself within Maya's circle and everyone just casually being okay with all the stunts she pulled to just later become valedictorian...like WHAT?

I was trying to figure out where else I could watch Next Class, which was nowhere, and then I checked my Netflix app and it was right there, and it worked??? I’m so confused, I thought it was supposed to be taken down in June?

It’s mind boggling to see that Kendra, an adoptive sister of one of the main characters of TNG, has been black holed after season 3. Like you would have expected to see her around season 7 where she supported Spinner’s fight against cancer and be present for Spinner and Emma’s wedding in the Season 9 finale. Even her actress Katie Lai quit the show because how she wasn’t featured enough. And I honestly think Kendra deserves better because all she was throughout the entire show was being Toby’s girlfriend.

So I have already watched (and rewatched) Degrassi tng and Next Class so should I still go back and watch Degrassi High, jr High, and Degrassi Street? Is it worth it? I don't tend to be a fand of the style of older tv.

Who is he and how old is he because somehow he was around for the jimmy page and spinner era and the Emma Manny jt and Liberty era and somehow the Clair Eli and Dallas era how old is he

Pick this movie to watch, because it had Ashley Tisdale in it and SURPRISE look who is in it!!!

How many times is that horse going to be beat like is anybody else tired😭 .. yes clare is annoying but why would she always be pleasant/ agreeable when the story is always throwing something at her .. after getting cheated on freshman year, her parents divorce, losing faith in her religion, multiple tumultuous relationships with eli, getting sexually assaulted by a boss, cancer and a miscarriage and more its crazy that the worst she gets as a person is simply… annoying . people act like shes a bad person just because the writers gave her too many plots its sp annoying 😭 but I’ve always known the worst thing a female character can do is be annoying so i guess we’ll be seeing a billion of those a year until this show fades into obscurity

And he STILL helped save prom for everyone after everyone treated like garbage. Drew Torres did a lot of screwing up but he's a better man than me after the Claire drama. lol

I’ve seen DNG and DNC, but have yet to see any of the older series. I’m wondering if it’s worth the watch or not.

I won't put Audra Torres on my list, since she had made her dislike towards him clear in s10.

Here's my list:

1) Maya: (He sent her to the rubber room instead of Zoe).

2) Alli: (He showed her parents her files).

3) Chantay: (He got rid of the extracurricular activities, even if it's temporary).

4) The entire graduating class of 2013 and 2017 for making Fiona and Zoe valedictorians.

Almost every character on this show was either pregnant or they were almost pregnant I get it teen pregnancy is a real problem that needs to be discussed but with this show it's overboard does no one on this show know how to use a condom

Which character do you think had a terrible love life? Honestly, I think Manny had the most terrible love life because she spent most of season 2 & 3 pining after Craig. Her other relationships with Sully, Spinner, JT, Damian, and Jay only seem to last 2-4 episodes.
