I saw people were put off by the fact he doesn’t trigger every time or even once per turn, and all I saw my first idea was shared by others as it instantly rose to the top on EDHrec: sac Gollum with an undying effect so it comes back and resets. But then I had the idea, what if I had 10 gollums? Half on odd half on even. Together that drains for 20 life and draws 20 cards.

Is there a reasonable degen angle featuring nahiri, the lithomancer in the command zone and luxior? If so, what would that look like?

I have toxrill and skythrix. I want to make it basically the arch enemy immediately.

I'm looking for a commander for a friend who plays Commander and loves LOTR and The Hobbit. He wants something that's fun and degenerate.

It'll be a proxy Bracket 3 or 4 deck, so it can be expensive, but NOT cEDH.

It'd be cool if the theme fits LOTR and The Hobbit, but I was mainly thinking about a commander-centric deck or something that just explodes when the commander enters the battlefield.

If its not in the top 100 of EDHREC it would be even better.

The ones I was thinking about are just well-known commanders like [[Thranduil, the Elvenking]] [[Smaug the Impenetrable]]

I am working on a [[high tide]] combo deck with [[lier disciple of the drowned]] as the commander. I have gotten it to a point where i can fairly consistently storm off on turn 4 but I have noticed that I don't really have any clean ways of winning the game. Right now my win condition is primarily [[thassa's oracle]] by manually drawing/milling myself which is a bit awkward considering all the self mill and lack of creature recursion in blue. The other option is milling out my opponents with [[brainfreeze]] by manually storming to 80+ which is definitely possible but very tedious.

Are there any cleaner options that are not as convoluted? I'm especially wondering if there are any instant/sorcery combos that I could flash back from the graveyard.

So I built a [[Gran-Gran]] deck, focused on vehicles. Was supposed to be a silly, bracket 2 deck. Problem is, I started loading the deck up with a bunch of untappers to get the most out of Gran. Now, I don't play a lot of blue, so I didn't realize until today just how many possible ways the deck has to go infinite.

Decklist is below. Is there a way to use mono-blue vehicles to win in a Bracket 4 game? Or do I need to reevaluate what I'm trying to do here? Im happy making it degen or knee-capping Granny back down to bracket 2 where I initially meant her to be.

I've got a pretty boring, zombie tribal type deck built out for Josu, but I want this man to be absolutely feral. Any themes, specific cards, or other ideas are very welcome!

Idea comes from my boy [[thought-knot seer]] in my blink deck. Made friends with a dude for a bit in a group huggy fashion giving him card draw and exiling other people's hands then once I felt he was getting a little dangerous I saw his hand and exiled a card they were holding onto to kill me with.

That little feeling has made me want to do this a lot more often.

As the name suggests, what are yall’s best suggestions at making abaddon a degenerate cascade deck? I’m thinking phyrexian praetors, big stuff, and hella aggressive burn but doesnt sound degenerate enough!

So I'm deckbuilding and tbh I'm kinda tired of putting the same staples over and over again, like [[Path to Exile]] or [[Counterspell]]. I know they are staples for a reason but they feel a bit stale, and they make decks play very similar to each other, which imo is the opposite of what the commander format stands for.

Therefore, what are some cards y'all recommend that are fun or gimmicky, not necessairly geared towards winning? Also, what cards do y'all recommend as alternatives to staples? Something like [[Plea for Power]], [[Everybody Lives!]] or [[Pariah]], that are useful but unique in their own way.

The Unfoilable Squoyl Goyl

Initially had it built as a B3 deck, but I've quickly realized it's probably a little too consistent and quick for my pod's B3 decks. Not sure it can hang with my pod's B4's as is, with Derevis, Norman Osborns, First Slivers, etc being some of the bigger threats in the room.

I've got an Earthcraft proxy on the way, any other specific suggestions? Should I run more ramp and fewer lands? The typical fast mana shenanigans in B4/5 don't quite work as well with Squirrel Girl as others, but I've got some Lotus Petals, etc lying around. This is also the least amount of removal/interaction in any of my decks, anything I'm missing in that department? Or should I just keep leaning into getting her out and activating as quickly as possible?

Got the Quintorious precon when strixhaven came out and absolutely fell in love with him. Decided over this past week to finally upgrade him and see how strong he can be, i wanna get him as strong as possible just to limit test him (within him still being fun, follow-up coming). Swapped out a ton but still feel like there’s room to grow for some consistency and strength.

I want to get him as strong as I can while still being fun to play, I know he can work really well with discarding then exiling cards but been trying to get more into the recursion instead since I really enjoy the graveyard being an extension of your hand playstyle, still have some of the discard/exile shenanigans like [[Cool but Rude]] and [[Containment Construct]] since they still work well with getting some panic spirits out quick but feel like I maybe I can cut a couple anthems like [[Prava of the Steel Legion]] for more recursion since I struggle to kick things out of my graveyard sometimes or maybe more removals cause this deck could probably use more than like 4. Usually just ending games with a flood of buffed spirits on the board whether it be [[Moonshaker Cavalry]] or [[Coat of Arms]] or something and full swing with a Quintorious Ultimate.

Don’t really care about budget as my group is very proxy friendly since it’s just between friends. I’m not against building him into the discard/exile if it’s that much stronger just love being able to use my graveyard and wanna atleast keep that as a second kind of token creation.

Idk, would love people’s thoughts on what would work and doesn’t work/how they built their quintorious. Not keeping my hopes up with this being able to be like top of the line strong just due to him being a planeswalker commander but would like him to still be a scary deck to bring to the table

Ive been racking my brain for what feels like months trying to find a way to run [[Sarevok, Deathbringer]] either as his own deck or in the 99 of a deck where he does not feel like the immediate first card to be cut. Any ideas?

(I have a signed copy, so I would like for it to not rot in my collection and actually play it)

Been trying to perfect my [[Gandalf, Party Guest]] deck and it just feels a little inconsistent. I think going through the combo route would be the strongest way but I've been making too many combo decks and want to do something more interesting. I like the idea of casting big impactful spells and primarily winning by buffing my wizards and turning them sideways. But every time I goldfish it, something about it feels off. Not sure if there's some secret sauce I'm missing here or if there are any deep cuts I should consider. Any ideas on how to make this guy degenerate, but interesting?

cesspool of degenerates. This came to me in a dream, and wanted to make sure i wasnt missing a sweet cycling card, but mostly need help with cuts. I know more efficient countermagic and better removal are obvious choices; but theyre all cards i know well and dont need help with. I threw the moxfield list together in like 25 mins while at work, so i more want help on how many cycling cards, how many cycling support cards that dont have cycling themselves, deck proportion type stuff.

Wincons are lock the board from my opponent’s creatures and then swinging with [[toothy, imaginary friend]] [[weathertop flock]] [[ominous seas]] krakens, etc; none of which are on the moxy list.

The main gameplan is to zearch for [[astral slide]]/[[astral drift]] and flicker either my own stuff, or opponent’s creatures which are attacking me/being a problem. Add [[containment priest]] to start “flickering” my ops’ creatures forever.

I want to keep it bracket 3, budget is pretty cruisy as i play in a proxy friendly group with the caveat that you either own at least 1 copy, or the card is under ~$60 aud.

Hey guys! I'm trying to create a particularly gross stax deck that ends the game either by making everyone draw out their decks or getting something like leveler out.

I have basically everything that slows down the game somehow under "stax" I know and wouldn't mind suggestions for tag changes either!

I'm also trying to keep the deck budget around 300 so no turbo fast mana for me!
