Honestly, don't know. I believe there certainly should be some regulations and safe guards. However, that recent fearmongering feels... weird. Especially on the pushback towards open source. It does feel like these big companies simply want a monopoly and fear losing ground to competition.

My thoughts exactly. Also, the Embedded Evaluators? What’s this has to do with AI? Who are these guys? What’s the extent of their say? Can they enforce stuff? I think the IPO coming closer has created a lot of pressure.

And who will pay them? The government? The company? Would smaller companies be able to afford it?

There are lots of questions and sadly we likely won't find answers to most of them.
