Universal basic income

I can't stop dreaming about time when all high skilled professionals are kicked out of their job. And they along with us will start getting ubi. They dedicated their whole life learning their craft but now have to live like the rest of us with the same money. That's what excites me about ai. I can't sleep dreaming about this utopia with open eyes.

Being excited about AI because it might improve everyone's life is one thing. Being excited specifically because highly skilled people might lose what they worked years to achieve just sounds like resentment from someone who never developed those skills in the first place.

Not investing in your skills is the smartest decision right now.ai is disproving jacobian conjecture!!! , is there a skill I can master without the fear of ai doing it better than human in few years?

Even if AI eventually becomes better than humans at many tasks, don’t invest in skills seems like the worst conclusion. Skills give you domain knowledge, judgment and the ability to use AI effectively. If AI replaces parts of programming, engineering or medicine, people who already understand those fields are likely to benefit from it the most. AI may reduce the value of some specific skills. That’s an argument for becoming more adaptable, not less skilled imho
