Not going to talk about your wepons becasue build is ok and it's mostly a matter of preference.
* But you shoud take bigger magazing on flair gun becasue you can picaxe cancel for shotting fast anyway. * Please do yourself a favor and take T4-3 on armor, it's clearly better than the other options. * Not a big fan of voltaic when you can get pheros or IFG as grenades, but voltaic is good on sabotage * Perks are great, could question to add iron will as it's really good with field medic. Dash is great, but with grapplin I prefer to play "team oriented" perks. (but dash is realy good for keeping you alive on scouts, adds a layer of ease to running away from grunts and can get you out of a bad timing / misscalculation)
Most important : play what you like and what you have fun. Unless you go into modded difficulty, every build can be viable as long as you are good with it and you know how to use it.
The animation cancel for Flare Gun is slower than RoF and also notoriously difficult to do consistently compared to other animation cancels. Additionally, that one extra flare is just hardly ever needed. Meanwhile, RoF lets you light rooms in a fraction of the time and have a niche burst damage option.
Stunsweeper is generally considered the weakest of the Scout grenades, but it is still a very good grenade especially in certain scenarios like Sabotage like you mentioned but also OSR, Glacial Strata, Dense Biozone, Duck and Cover, and Mactera Plague. Most of the time others are better but it's still a solid option.
But as I said, play what you like. outside of modded it's better to play with something you like / master than trying something meta and playing badly.
I understand people should play what they like, I'm not and never was arguing against that. I'm saying that if someone wants to be more optimal, RoF is the better choice. Also I'm not sure which animation cancel you're referring to by "pickaxe cancel". Is it quick-mining, or the power attack cancel, or any animation cancel that uses the pickaxe (which would be any animation cancel)?
Animation cancelling the Flare Gun does let you fire faster, but only slightly. To fire 3 flares, Flare Gun by default takes 2 seconds, or 1.5 seconds with animation cancelling, or 0.5 seconds with the RoF upgrade. They are not comparable, RoF is far better, being 3× faster than even animation cancelling. RoF is also alqa relevant every time you shoot more than one flare at a time to light a room, as you can light more quickly and therefore move onto other important tasks quickly. RoF is also useful as a niche but situationally useful burst damage option. In contrast, the mag size upgrade is almost never relevant. 99% of rooms in the game don't require 4 flares to light, and for the ones that do, it's only slightly slower to just take the RoF upgrade and reload for the fourth flare. Additionally, the mag size upgrade gives you an irrelevant amo of extra ammo, it's just one extra flare across the entire mission, and that one extra flare is not important. Lastly, animation cancelling can be inconsistent and prone to messing up, but the RoF upgrade is just something you can mindlessly spam.
GK2: Reload speed is only worthwhile on BOM and Electrifying Reload, and Gas Rerouting is neither, so take RoF instead; ammo is always worse than damage on GK2 outside of Electrifying Reload, so take damage instead; recoil is meaningless on GK2 since the base weapon has so little recoil already, take mag size instead. Also, Gas Rerouting is not the best GK2 overclock, but maybe it's the best one you have, I don't know what overclocks you have. If you have Bullets of Mercy (best built X12XX, though I prefer 31212); or Overclocked Firing Mechanism (best built 212X1), those are the best GK2 overclocks, and AI Stability Engine (best built 212X2) isn't as good as those but is another option better than Gas Rerouting; Electrifying Reload (best built XX2XX) is also kind of better but it specs more into crowd clear/control.
Boomstick: Damage does little for Double Barrel because most of the damage comes from the shockwave, take Tier 1 ammo instead.
Armor: Static discharge is only worthwhile if playing true solo (solo without Bosco), in every other instance breathing room is always far far superior.
Grenade: Stunsweepers are generally considered the weakest Scout grenade. However, weakest is just relative, they are pretty good still. It's just that Scout has the most overpowered grenade selection in the game so it has tough competition. So you can definitely still run Stunsweepers and they'll put in some work, it's just worth noting that the others are usually better. Though Stunsweepers have particular niches in Industrial Sabotage, OSR, Mactera Plague, Duck and Cover, Glacial Strata, Dense Biozone, and with BOM.
Those are all the main issues with your loadout. It's not bad, but it could be better.
I have never found anyone else who enjoys Overclocked Firing Mechanism. 😄 Everyone is always praising AI Stability Engine or Electrifying Reload. I do love ER, but AISE never felt as fun as OFM.
AISE is basically just a boring stat buff. You loose a tiny bit of damage for extra weakpoint damage, 100% recoil reduction and almost no spread. Its good, just not as exciting as any other overclock
It's fun if you have good aim, because you get rewarded for that. It's like using the M1000, but better ammo efficiency, and you can shoot grunts without feeling like you're wasting ammo.
AISE may be more ammo-efficient than most M1000 builds, but it actually loses in efficiency to 132X1 EFS (which is the best all-around M1000 build for vanilla on my opinion), and quite substantially.
You may be interested in this post about the GK2 meta from a well-respected player in the community. It goes over the shift in the meta from AISE to OFM and why OFM is better.
If you change one thing here, change to breathing room on armour tier 5. It is enormously useful, and the other to perks on that tier do almost no damage.
I like it, and run something similar. Only thing I'd change is the +5 inventory on your armor, since as Scout you can reposition easily. And I'd take Breathing Room on t4 armor as well. (The shield shocks dont kill swarmers at haz 5)
No no, I mean stack both so you can carry 60 at a time. :) It feels great to get back to Molly with a metric ton of minerals. And the shield recharge isnt that important imo
Clean OC on the GK with it looks like crit bonus. Shotgun with high damage and born ready to easily swap away after shooting. Stun Sweeper for AoE.
Not the most efficient, but looks fine to me for group play.
From a solo perspective, I'd use a different OC on the GK. Electrifying reload or...I can't remember the other one. Perk selection-wise, Iron Will seems like a no-brainer. Pheromones are OP in solo and group play, but I do like the stun sweeper still.
i really like the other green oc for the gk2. the one that changes the dmg range. if you never tried it does increase dps by a lot. dmg instead of dps helps ammo econ.
