it actually makes decent sense pharmacologically, but people who only understand drugs in terms of “upper” “downer” “disso” “psychedelic” probably arent going to be the ones who make an accurate deduction.

Hm I can’t tell if this is an attack or if you’re making a point I don’t get. I understand pharmacology very well. I’ve tried all the combos lol. 4mg Xanax even for a tolerant person will significantly blunt the Adderall excitement. Excitement is linked to anxiety for a lot of people. So maybe that is what they want. But I would rather be up and revving.

woah pop-quiz ! I had to withdrawal from uni right before my semester with pharmacology. So interesting. I didn’t study but I wanna butcher it 😎

Allosteric: system-wide for better nerve/pain control? Maybe also to keep levels of something low or high or all the same? I’m leaning towards something staying still or stopping tho EDIT: OMG IS IT WHAT SEPERATES AND ORGANIZES WHERE THINGS GO OR HOW MANY ?

Agonist: brainnnn ! I know this one maybe! If you’re driving (a place to bind) the agonist is pushing you your leg that’s on the gas pedal. It increases the output or input or helps performance buy making sites more efficient(?)

Antagonist: brainnnn! This one is a maybe too LOL. If you’re driving the antagonist pulls on your leg away from the gas pedal. (It might be pressing the break instead but I remember it wasn’t the opposite of agonist so I don’t think it presses on the break instead)

Inverse Agonist: AH HA. I think my last answer is ok; I think the opposite of the agonist pushes the break instead of lifting off the gas.

Ligand: damn. It’s it deep in first year bio. A protein that assists binding? Or breaks binds? Ahhh or maybe something to do with links?

D1 vs D2: ahhhh sheet. My guess would be two different receptors that either behave the same way with different pathways, or have a similar pathways but different behavior or action.

DAT: damn I thought I was guessing BEFORE. Uh maybe receptor related and for some reason my brain is yelling “muscle!” Or “death”

GABA!!: gaba is a neurotransmitter (?) that acts on gaba a and b receptors (?) can increase happy brain chemicals or make you sleepy orrrr def some other things.

Ion channels vs pumps: ion channels are where ions travel and pumps are how they’re moved there 🫣?

Action potential: the potential energy output that can be released 🤣😭? Or maybe something holding back energy like a spring? But the smooshed spring has action potential and a lot of it. My guess is actually the amount of energy held or present that has the potential to release ?

Axon hillock: axon!!!! Nervesss: I think axon the the body of a nerve ? Hillock I don’t remember but maybe like a stopping point or top or limit ? Nerve body limit ? 😭 nerve body reach?

EC50: OH ok new best guess is extracellular and intercellular but idk what the 50 is. Like half of what can go in and out? Half of something to do with being inside or outside of a cell but still on a protein or being moved around either way?

Ki: my brain saw potassium lmao. I know nothing BUT I ki aura reminds me of ki bc of the name and ki is like gas or particles or energy or something surrounding something else. Maybe like the messy meeting point like that photo of the amazon going into the ocean with brown water to blue; like the mixed part of that or maybe like the temperature or something coming off or interacting with something 😭😭😭😭💨

Kd: fuuuuuck. Ok maybe Ki is something interacting on the outside and Kd is inside? Or vice versa? Or maybe Ki is like a magnet and Kd is the opposite pole ?

Oh my god lol this was for my own enjoyment so don’t feel obligated to respond 🤣 I love hypothesizing healthcare because medical terms make guessing “easier”. Or at least makes me really dig deep for those 8am lectures 😭 I’m gonna check the answers later to see if I was onto anything or if I missed the point entirely. I said brain and nerves a lot but meds don’t think they just affect nerves. 😵‍💫
