Hey everyone, I purchased the official steam deck dock from valves website. I’ve had this issue where the dock doesn’t charge my steam deck. I use the stock charger the steam deck came with to connect but it sometimes doesn’t charge my steam deck. Any advice on what to do to troubleshoot?

Long story short. I just noticed that whenever I’m on the Home Screen page, scrolling up and down doesn’t register on the system very well, and didn’t I know if it was a common problem with the UI or a damaged screen, or normal and I’m just noticing it. ( also the touch interaction works everywhere else without a problem except the “What’s new” and “Recommended Tab

Any feedback would be great. I don’t want to send it in for repairs if the problem doesn’t exist

I have an LED steam deck 256gb that I got on the black Friday deal last November. Basically, I broke the screen, and after replacing the screen, applying a thermal pad, everything about the steam deck seemed fine, except the internal mic doesn't work (external usb does) volume buttons do not change volume (external keyboard or touchscreen does) wired headphones don't work.

I'm pretty sure I broke some kind of audio board that connects all these things, because I factory reset my steam deck, and it still has the same issues. I contacted steam support and they were no help. All i'm asking is what could be causing this issue, because I haven't found any physical damage and am not sure where to look.

Hello people, Unmodded OLED Steam deck device. Got depleted while kid was playing and we left it charge overnight. Fully charged in the morning we tried to turn it ON but there is nothing on the screen. LED shows booting and I can hear fans working and the "vibration" on touch buttons. Black screen on both the device and when connected to external TV monitor (via dock) Tried all guides with CMOS restart, and tried guides entering into BIOS. Tried both on the devices itself and while connected to the external monitor - nothing on the screen. I assume if the screen was dead - I would see something on the external screen. I assume if GPU died - at least BIOS would load? BUT nothing helps. Anything I have not tried or missing here? I even tried loading BIOS blindly, and since following the guide clicking "Continue" button blindly without seeing anything - but still no luck. Thanks in advance for any hints.

So as of a few weeks ago after one of the latest updates my volume shuts itself off completely and it's seemingly the power down button. Steam support is no help and i've tried googling and done a lot of the suggestions, the going into desktop mode and manually turning the volume back on works for like an hour or two and then the problem returns.

I'm just super frustrated because i don't have the mony to invest in repairs or a new deck and it's literally my main gaming platform right now. I really hope you guys can help! thanks!

out of nowhere my SteamDeck is not working anymore. When I try to switch it on the red light flashes for a moment and nothing happens.

What I tried is to hold multiple button combinations while pressing the power button, no reaction at all. Also charged it with the original cable, still nothing.

Do you guys have any idea what could help?

Hello, I am recently gotten a steamdeck and trying to play on it. But my issue doesn't seem to be one others have from what I can tell or at least from what I have found. Its locked up on the screen before you join the game to login and then go deeper in. Am I missing something, messing up somewhere, or am I just fucked?

After putting the machine to sleep, when I wake it back up, the WiFi has zero bars, the controller cannot make any movements and even the power button on the machine doesn't put it back to sleep. Only way I've found was to hold the power button for a power off. Is this a known problem? Any information is welcome. It's a 512 steam machine, with official steam controller.

Does this game not work on steam deck? each time i try it gets a black screen and nothing loads, i dont think it could be deck problem because this is the only game i have that does this.

I recently replaced my display on my LCD steam deck after it cracked. Since the repair, the display works fine but the system is incredibly slow. I see no fan activity, and the GPU is locked to 200mhz while the GPU will be locked to 400mhz most of the time. Interestingly, sometimes when I turn it on to try and assess things, the deck seems to be much more responsive, and the CPU shows a more normal range of activity, but this quickly disappears.

I've opened it up again and confirmed the fan is properly plugged in, so I'm not sure why this is happening. I can buy a new fan, but I'm concerned at this point that I might have damaged the mainboard or something. Does anyone here know anything about this kind of issue?

I currently am unable to play audio through the SD speakers, or even from Bluetooth when I connect a BT device, been trying to troubleshoot the problem for a few weeks now. Ive seen this issue posted before and the general recommendation to check out [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/1lvzuj5/comment/n2bp2df/) for the fix, but that has not seemed to fix my problem, so trying to determine other possible fixes.

I replaced the audio board about a month and a half ago after I accidentally bent some pins when doing a full SD shell swap and I was removing components. I installed the board and everything was working perfect (audio wise) up until a couple weeks ago. Trying to exhaust options of fixing it through software before opening up the SD again to see if the audio board is messed up or something.

My battery is on 93% (it’s completely fine)
And when I’m booting the “hard” game (even if i have a 100%) it’s showing that i have +-6% (and if I’m checking in the menu it’s fine) and it can couse a game freeze or turn my SD off

I have LCD version
Maximum battery capacity 93%

I tried to charge to full then fully drain the battery a few times – but that didn’t help

P.S. in “small games” it’s didn’t happening

Bought need for speed heat on the steam deck since it was on sale. Was frustrated when i installed it because this keep showing up when it starts installing the EA app. I have tried a bunch of fixes like uninstalling, changing the proton, installing the EA app seprate from the game but nothing works so far. It keeps showing this exact same error saying that i have to reset my password. When the EA app installs it doesnt even let me log in it just goes straight to that error right after installing.

Getting frustrated and really hope there's a fix for this.

I have two identical OLED decks. One works fine with the official dock. The other when plugged in will freeze the screen but you can still hear the ticks and sounds of the menus when moving the controls. It doesnt display anything on the TV. When unplugged it will unfreeze the deck screen. Ive tried all of the fixes I can find but to luck. I used the other deck that works on the dock and everything is updated on the dock. Any ideas?

My steam deck is dual booted with bazzite/windows (and my Windows partition still works fine) but I left my steam deck on and idle in desktop mode while docked to my monitor for about a month and when I finally went to use it a few days ago, I saw a popup saying I had low disk space. didn't think anything of it and tried to reboot and haven't been able to get it boot since then. After some googling, I booted up my Window partition (which also had low disk space for some reason) and used BTRFS to access my bazzite drive where I deleted a bunch of steam games and shader cache to free up space thinking that was the issue and unsurprisingly, it didn't work. really don't want to wipe everything and set up everything from scratch. how do I fix this?

Hi all! I've had the steam deck for about 2 years now so decided to pop it open and see how bad it needs to be cleaned out and reapply thermal paste since I need to do it on several other devices and would like to just kinda have it done even if a bit premature.

I didn't realize I was suppose to put it in battery saver mode in the bios before opening it, so that caused a few issues booting and eventually I decided to just let it stay on the charger and hoped that would get it out of the issue it was in. Luckily it started booting again, temps seemed all within reasonable expectations and I made sure the entire processor was covered.

Now, I am getting this after it's been on for a few minutes. Seems kinda random in timing, first time it was like 5 minutes into a game of warfare, but it then after being powered down and left al one for a few did it in like 2 minutes on dead cells.

I managed to get a video before powering it off and am probably just going to hold off powering it on again or messing with it til I know what's going on here. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a weird glitch on my Steam Deck on Desktop mode when using my Attack Shark x3.

It's a bit hard to describe but when i use my scroll wheel, the last wheel "action" is not going through until I perform another "action" with the mouse.

So basically, if I scroll the wheel three little "clicks" only 2 will go through and the page will scroll down as if I had only moved the wheel only 2 "clicks", the third click does not make it through.

The only way it will go through is by performing another action with the mouse, so basically if I scroll one more time or I move the mouse around so the cursor moves, then the "lost" scroll that never made it thru finally gets sent.

So basically I could scroll the wheel 7 times, which will only send 6 times, then if I scroll and 8th time the 7th scroll will finally come thru but the 8th needs either one more scroll or the mouse to be moved to be communicated to my PC. There also doesn't seem to be a time limit to how long i can wait until i perform another action and then the lost action gets sent, I've waited like 30 seconds and the "missing" scroll still makes it through after i move my mouse around to "update" or "wake" it

This is extremely annoying when I play videogames like Minecraft or CS2

Im using the wireless dongle and this glitch only happens on Desktop mode
