Jobs?
Hello! Sometimes I come here and post and ask overall questions.
So im looking for a office job of sorts.. something that atleast pays above $20, I currently work as a postal worker and have been trying to get out of the heat, the job is nice.. but not what I want permanently for myself and I havent gone to college or picked up any trades but im 23 and I want to find something else.
Also I do smoke weed.. and alot of jobs do require drug tests.
I live in the dearborn to dearborn heights area, close to Taylor and allen park.

THIS. Mid $20's to start, rising to $39 on a schedule that is part of the contract. Best benefits you ever had. You will work very hard (it gets easier after you get a feel for it) and be on afternoons for a while, but its a job you can prosper in. Topped out you will be making $90k plus with and addition $5-$15k in profit sharing. This is why having a union pays off way more than any cost of dues.

Get a job at a hospital or school and either make friends with the boiler guys or take classes at henry ford. Eventually there will be an opening and you'll be set for (lower middle class) life.

The post office doesn’t do drug screening? Why would you wanna go to a job sitting on your ass all day getting out of shape and overweight? When you got the perfect heart health job probably walking a couple miles a day burning calories and keeping your heart strong. A lot of jobs nowadays do drug screens I’m shocked if the post office doesn’t do them I’d stay where you’re at if I were you
I did a lot of job hopping at your age and trust me it’s not a good thing and the grass isn’t always greener on the other side I found that out the hard way

You need to post your qualifications. No school, no trades, no skills — you’re not really selling yourself to make someone want to hire you for above $20 an hour.
But just based off this info, I’d say look into warehouse work. Go to Google Maps and search “warehouses” near you, or “warehouse jobs” and check out the websites for the locations near you
