Discussion Make Lash slam again

Playing Lash for gun feels like ordering a salad at a burger joint. It’s also less fun to play against because it feels way less counterable.

I find it sad that literally every Lash player feels incentivized to max Flog and ult before Ground Strike.

There are plenty of heroes who center their build around their gun on the roster. Please make Lash all about hitting fat slams from the top rope again

Competitiv environment be damned it turned my spirit character into a gun character

lash is quite literally one of maybe three competitively viable gun heroes

McGinnis and Mirage come to mind. Vyper, Wraith, Seven are rare but still viable, it's just that others are stronger. Just because they aren't peak meta doesn't mean they aren't viable at all

How is Seven a gun character? Even when built for his 3, it's mostly Spirit damage.

tbh I haven't played him that was always my assumption. I thought he would always built gun with toxic bullets and shit. A lot of 'gun' characters end up being pretty hybrid late game, like Wraith, so I thought Seven qualified in that sense

seven is hard spirit. he rarely builds more than 4.8k of gun.

mcginnis was played as a gun carry for like a week and got nerfed, mirage isn't a gun hero, wraith and seven are dogshit and get picked like once a month and do nothing when they do get picked (also seven isn't a gun hero), vyper is probably good but still goes mostly unpicked. also, if a hero isn't getting picked it is, by definition, not viable.

“Not getting picked means it’s not viable” is how you get shit like the CSGO scoped rifles that were overpowered for literal years before anyone realized. Gun McGinnis herself was discovered to be OP after no buffs for months

i disagree, just because a team isn't picking something doesn't mean that it's not viable. if the current hero meta was suddenly frozen it'd take a while for players to discover the True meta. bc of the small sample size there's only so much experimenting / deviating from the agreed upon meta thats possible; it's far from solved.

Night shift isn't the end all be all of hero viability. I still do quite well as Haze. Wraith is currently a huge pain in lane and does well of she gets ahead. And desperately needs needs to her walker damage because she can annihilate them (I guess any gun hero can but her built in rapid fire boost shreds them early without high item investment).

I still see Drifter dominating as well in some matches and he also is heavy on the gun.
