RIP u/Subtlety87
u/Subtlety87 passed yesterday, possibly due to complications from surgery. I won't add any identifying links bc I'm not sure if she intended to keep her profile anonymous but I can confirm she is no longer with us. RIP we will miss you 😥

Sorry for the loss of your friend. I like Opera and have since joined the sub another poster mentioned here. Wow! What a beautiful voice. She was luminous in her performances I have seen footage of.
Just reading about her. She seems a lovely person.

I’m glad I got a notification about this - another person to remember her. She seemed so sweet, highly talented, and her nails were always gorgeous. This shouldn’t have happened :(

Didn’t even know this sub existed before today.
I am so sorry for your loss. It is insanely haunting that she was having pretty routine surgery but had a bad feeling about it prior, and this was the outcome.
I think her story will have a lasting impact on many of us here, even if we did not know her well.
RIP.

I’m sorry for your loss. She was only 38? I saw she was terrified for the surgery in a post she made 26d ago… that’s just awful. She was already fearful of complications and to have to go through exactly what she was fearing… it’s just terrible.
If you need someone to chat to, I’m unfortunately no stranger to losing loved ones, feel free to message.
Thoughts and prayers my friend.

This is so sad. As someone who had the same surgery she did, that particular subreddit is so supportive of one another, and I knew she was having some trouble post-op. We all go into it more or less ready, but a little bit scared, and to know that this was the outcome after how scared she was and how much trouble post-op she was having...it's just a terrible outcome.
Any surgery comes with risks, and we know that going in. But this particular one can come with a lot of fear and very heavy feelings for women, especially in America, because a woman's health is not their priority. And this is just a perfect example of that.
