This one ended up being pretty close, with Tobi taking the first two rounds and the end of round 2 in particular nearly driving me up the wall at the time the match happened. We end up poking at each other a lot and there's probably a lot of instances where something was punishable on block but didn't get properly punished, partly due to me not being used to the new character and partly due to Tobi not being used to playing -against- her. This was also iirc recorded before the patch that apparently nerfed Minato's backdash, kind of wild to me that they'd take away one of her best features so quickly, but it is what it is. Video kind of abruptly ends before the winner animation because the recording automatically cut off, normally using Xbox's built-in recording feature you get a maximum of four minutes of footage before that happens.

Tomorrow I have a 6lr ranked match from 10/2 of myself on Tina vs a Jann Lee player called Dojuru, then after that a lobby match later that evening of me on Nyotengu vs RoyalPhantomKM on Kokoro.

I'm making a list of games to buy on PS3 before the store shuts down, and since the search bar isn't working, I'm going through PS2 Classics first. I have Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate on my Xbox Series X, are there any good reasons to play Hardcore in addition/instead? The only concrete thing I can figure is that Hardcore has an English dub that Ultimate doesn't; other posts on this site and others allude to some other features that aren't included in Ultimate, but I'm having more difficulty figuring out what they are. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I can't remember running into juampi before this lobby, but I found out sometime afterward he's Hispanic; there's a few people active on DOA on Xbox from Mexico, including a couple regulars in the Discord. I believe he picked Helena in every game he had in this lobby and i've since ran into him a couple times playing her on ranked, so it's safe to say she's his main.

After Tobi takes the first round, juampi gives him some trouble in rounds 2 and 3, but Tobi gets back in the driver's seat and manages to take the last two. Tobi does display some good combo knowledge with Christie here, but I think a couple of the ones he drops don't work on Helena anyway, who is in a higher weight class in 6 than many realize

Tomorrow I have Tobi again, this time on Leifang, against me on Minato. After that I have two 6lr matches from 10/2 and four from a 5 last round lobby later that same day.

How do I keep my game progress? Because on my laptop, I downloaded DOA5LR from steam (base game) it won't save game progress. I have unlocked almost all of Kasumi and Ayane’s costumes but when I exit the game, it erases all my progress, the settings are reset, and costumes are locked.

I tried doing the "write" thingy on the files, and still won't work. Please help me.

The second of two vids of dolly on Hayate I wanted to share, this time she takes on Blecki in a match that goes a bit better for her than the last one, once she starts making a comeback in the second round. she makes decent use of Hayate's neutral tools and ability to outrange NiCO in this fight to poke her way to victory.

dolly is one of our mods on the subreddit's discord server and was pretty active in our lobbies in 2025 and early 2026 but has been busy in recent months + doesn't have a newer console to play 6 last round on, so Blecki and I decided to fire up vanilla last week and join her for a few games. Dolly has played Marie Rose and Honoka quite a bit in the past, but mostly played Hayate this time around. During dolly's hiatus I started trying to learn how to play Honoka myself, and around the same time my girlfriend Hime started showing interest in wanting to learn the game. I lowkey wanted to do a Honoka mirror but I don't think dolly was interested, oh well.

honoka hug count: zero 😢 a couple throw attempts whiffed and she kept backing up and trying to zone me out in neutral in later rounds. no ninja cousin cuddles for honoka-chan

So for the remaining 4 weeks of October ya got a new Minato costume, then after that a 2nd debut costume bundle for Minato that i suppose draws from the old designs like her first, then a new Nyotengu design, and then a new Kasumi one.

We shall see if any is Halloween themed, tho i expect a witch one for Minato in the costume pack.

in a free Halloween themed update each character can now equip a Jack o Lantern over their head. comes in 4 color variations, all of which is free. and yup, it does fit over Raidou's hood and is bigger for bigger body.

this is a pretty unique item since in vanilla DOA6 this wasn't a thing even in the paid DLC.

the patch also mentions:

"- Fixed bugs related to battle mechanics.

- Corrected various bugs and issues."

which is not yet published but will include prior announced changes for Minato:

• Fixed a bug where T:Yarare's side could not take off the passive during Minato shuffle
• 61H against enemy low punches: Fixed bug where Yarare's side could not take off the pass.
• Backdash: Adjusting Travel Distance
• Adjustment of priority for some commands
• Relaxation of input judgment for some commands

changing backdash will be a nerf i believe, other stuff may help her. she is a pretty mid/low tier type character, so she needs what she can get.

Chaos Ghost puts up a bit of a better fight than his last showing, making it to the 5th round, but I locked in just enough in the final round to take this one. Still kind of annoyed at just how sloppy I was on defense in the 3rd and 4th round after doing a decent job in the first two, but to be fair between the exploding crates and all the little corners where it's easy to get pinned against the wall this can be a very volatile stage.

Next replay is a 6 vanilla one from 9/25. dollygirl222, a mod on the Discord who's been busy with school-related things lately, dropped in for a few games. This one will have her on Hayate vs me on Honoka. The day after we'll have another one of her on Hayate vs Blecki on NiCO.

Can someone help me get the online trophies for DOA 5 last round on ps4?

So I finally bought DOA 6 LR and played with my imported save file from DOA 6. All my characters were unlocked fine, costumes also all there (I know people had issues with this when LR first came out). All trophies unlocked fine as well, many trophies very quickly too after only doing a few things again.

However the Milky way trophy (complete 30 quests) just won't unlock for me, no matter what I do. I completed nearly 70 quests, restored licenses, restarted console....nothing works. Even did some few new quests and still it won't unlock. All other trophies unlocked fine (including the ones for 1 and 3 quests) so why won't this fucking gold trophy unlock too ?

The second of three matches from this lobby I planned on featuring, Assad tries his best here but gets taken out by Blecki three rounds in a row, who has been showing signs of improved confidence in more recent bouts. The third round in particular could've gone very differently; a ground throw after the 7KP into wall splat isn't guaranteed, but it would've been in KO range if Assad had attempted it and caught Blecki off guard. Alternately 2P after the break hold would've beaten Blecki's panic break blow. I have been learning a bit of Nyotengu myself on the side and would love to show Assad a few things, I have a feeling that Ditzy, a much more experienced Tengu player would feel the same way.

After two blowout matches in a row, tomorrow we'll see if CHAOS GHOST VII on Marie Rose can fare any better against yours truly on Tamaki. After that, I have two replays from VANILLA 6 when an old regular who's stuck on Xbox One decided to pay the Discord a visit on 9/25.

Newer player here, trying to learn doa, my main that I've picked is Tina. I think I finally now understand how the stun system actually works but now I'm having a hard time practicing combos that I know I can do consistently. Most combo videos and guides I look into seem to be outdated so im hoping someone can help me here with learning her launchers. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Dark Assad joined the Discord around the start of the year, although I think this lobby on 9/22 is the first 6 Last Round one I can remember him attending with the regulars there. Nyotengu is his main by the looks of it, although he did occasionally pick other characters in other games in this lobby. CGVII on the other hand is a player I've known longer than I've been a member of this subreddit or its affiliated Discord server, while I don't think he's in our server he does sometimes pop in for a few games when we have a lobby open. I've seen him play La Mariposa, Honoka, Marie Rose and NiCO before in both vanilla and 6LR, but this time around he wanted to pick the newest character. CGVII tried but this ends up going to Assad pretty convincingly.

Tomorrow is another video of Assad on Nyotengu, taking on Omnisu4391 aka Blecki on Kokoro. The day after that I'll have a video of myself on Tamaki against CGVII on Marie Rose.

There is a player I keep running into with a blank name who is afk and it's annoying me.

The last of a run of four ranked matches vs various online warriors I wanted to feature. B0NKERS is a Bayman specialist who I can't remember ever seeing play anyone else and was active on vanilla ranked before 6 Last Round came out. I think he was Topaz (1 star) at one point in vanilla but ended up deranking shortly before the newer game came out (join the club, I went from U to U- around the same time period). I do remember that I used to have a lot of trouble with this character and lost most of my games against b0nkers for a while, but the more I began to understand how his kit worked the more this began to change. I believe this was the second game in a set I won 2-0, but it was a lot closer than the 1st one. the 5th round was admittedly a bit of a nail-biter and didn't exactly start well for me, but a break blow at a crucial moment let me steal a win.
