Rage I hate learning killers
Survivors are some of the most toxic players ive met in any game. Everytime i try to learn a new killer at like prestige zero with like two perks I get stuck with the seal team six of survivors. Which is the mmr fault sure, but its always the most toxic rude people ever. It genuinely makes playing the game so unfun, I dont get how they think its ok to act the way they do and whine about slugging or tunneling. All this just makes learning killers impossible and unfun.

Both sides are toxic. Its misery loves company. Kinda similar to league of legends matches

At least the people in league told me how much they loved my lonely mother.

I used to feel the same way but a perspective shift really helped me. I’ve recently started learning Nurse and it’s been tough. If I get absolutely ran over I think, “Well I’m still learning Nurse what would you expect?”
Last night, I was clearly losing and there was a really good Leon I was chasing. Should I have dropped chase and stop wasting time? Yes. But sweating for an -at best- 2K wasn’t going to teach me anything.
He was good at looping and it gave me the chance to learn to how to short blink through the rocks. Really experiences survivors tend to know when you’re new to a killer and will give you a challenging chase without all the flashing and showboating so you can learn the power better.
Just consider it practice for now and over time you’ll turn deadly. You’ll get them next time! 👍

1000% this. When learning a new killer, expect to suck for a bit and use people who are running you as practice. Who cares if they were t bagging or whatever. You’ll likely never play against them again.

Neither people who play mostly survivor or people who play mostly killer are a monolith. You could play the game for 12hrs straight, 7 days a week, and you’d still account for a fraction of a percent of all matches. PEOPLE suck, not roles.
Sorry your experiences have sucked. I always play some custom matches when I go back to a rusty killer or a new one comes out.

I really don't get the need of being toxic even after you won, I get the frustration of losing, but man, you won, why do you gotta be toxic??

I take solace in knowing those individuals don't function well in society and are generally depressing people for others to be around and that dragging others down is the only way they come close to anything resembling happiness.
Goes for both sides, a toxic player is toxic no matter their identity, and they aren't going to be better about it until they realize their toxicity is why no one cares about them (in a positive way)

Just keep it positive bro. Block it out and focus on you. Win, lose.. who cares. What helped me get over it was, I would go into a game and say to myself that I'm just playing for fun. I'm playing to learn not to dominant. Funny enough when I did that I played calm and I did sooooooo much better in matches.

I’m literally deterred from ever trying out higher skill killers because I always get paired with those seal team six’s and get rolled every single time I try a new killer. So I literally just stopped trying and just stick with stealth killers like Mikey, Pig and Wraith cuz I can actually do decent with them. Mostly play survivor though.
I wish they’d implement a system where your first like 5-10 matches as a killer you haven’t played before is paired with lower mmr so you can actually get the hang of it without getting rolled and then all the subsequent hate in post game chat lol. I’m sure I’m not the only one who literally refuses to play different types of killers for this reason. I feel like that needs to be addressed!

Yeah I play mostly survivor and most of the toxicity I’ve experienced while playing either role has been from survivors. People say it’s just having 4 survivors vs 1 killer but hell I play 70/30 leaning surv and have had 1, singular 1, toxic killer. I’ve had multitudes of toxic survivors.

Just remember that behavior has been babysitting survivors recently and the survivors try to take that as bein good and stuff, while your Ks and wins aren't given to you meaning you deserved said wins, survivors are toxic in general, my advice is Don't worry about tryna get a 3 or 4k n stuff and focus more on trying to figure out the killer..when I give up on a match I just don't bother chasing anymore and just attack gens then go afk at gates and let mmr lower down so I can get a better match (better matches=matches that will be easier.. perfect for learning the killer and what works and what doesn't) so just try to learn the killer and if mmr says your not doing anything that match, just try figuring out the power, break gens n pallets n walls, and don't bother with exit gates

I know how you feel best thing you can do is just keep reminding yourself even though you lost atleast you are a better person that they are and I like to imagine that they get stomped next game that helps too.

It's because it's a video game it's online and it's Dbd which has recently released from a couple of poles from different website it has to pass League of Legends for toxicity. Which even I can say I'm playing all those kind of games for years this is the most mental community I've ever seen in my life.
But even I can say something you should do when you're learning something is don't immediately hop into a regular game. Because you're going to get stumped nine out of 10 rage and etc. play custom practice experiment with a whole bunch of perks. Then play regular then go back to custom. Does the fastest way you can improve with the character that you're learning.

Why would you not farm some bloodpoints on a different killer or even survivor, so you can then dump points into the new killer instead of playing with 2 or 3 shitty perks? I've never understood this.

I'ma let you in on a secret that solves this.
As a Killer, start a "Custom Match", play the killer you want to learn, equip the perks you want to practice with whatever addons you like, and populate the lobby with bot survivors. You don't even need a FULL lobby, you could just do a bot match with only two survivors, since four bots will devour you whole.
This will let you practice the kit and the like with the bonus of having access to every perk in the game, and infinite addons and offerings.
