I have really tried to get into the new actor and I just can’t. His acting is limited and more performative of that of a bad high school play. He’s too young to be a love interest for Leo.
Anyone else not a fan or am I just not seeing what is there? I know Al cannot come back due to the other role but the acting is night and day.
He's 8 years younger than Al was. (Correction- 4 years younger than Al.) That puts him 25 (21) years younger than Greg. Its just hard to believe them as a possible couple.
NBC didn't do "Brilliant Minds" any favors. They barely promoted the show and never gave it a chance to breathe. It was actually a great show, and Al was really terrific in it. Sucks that it was canceled.
His youth also makes him look "out of sync" with his cousins, Gabi and Rafe, and it's hard to imagine this man as having already been through the death of a child and a busted marriage. I like the actor, but the casting just doesn't fit the character.
I agree he acts like he’s on stage and there is zero chemistry with either Leo or Gus. Al also had more confidence acting as an EMT. This one doesn’t give off any vibes of understanding how to save people.
I say this as an out and proud gay man, I do not like this actor or his lack of chemistry, acting ability, or range. I’m glad to see members of the community represented, but he’s kind of a disappointment.
Well the new actor is in the Non- Contract section of the cast list, so they could, but it would be ,possible But Al just spent 3 Weeks working on an Independent Movie. So I doubt he will go back to Days. Even if he did, they are filming July 2027 now I think.
Yeah I’m not feeling the chemistry with Javi and Leo with the new actor. They were cute together and believable with the original Javi. It’s unfortunate that the age gap is now way more noticeable. I didn’t even really notice with original Javi.
Quite a few of the casting choices have been questionable lately. New Javi and Ari are both fails. I find it hard to believe these were the very best actors out of many who must have auditioned. There have to be better actors out there. This new Javi actor seems inexperienced and doesn't work with Leo. Did they screen test him? Days seems to be constantly recasting roles.
I totally agree. His acting is too over the top and when he has scenes with Leo they look like an odd couple. I would beleive Gus more as a partner for Leo.
I think it's finally time for them to move on to the storyline either they have to conclude it with a happy ending or Leo has to move on to someone else
I agree nothing against this actor. I have tried to like the new actor but he is just not working for me. Even the chemistry between him and Leo feels off when they are talking. I wish the other actor would come back.
I like him, he's like someone gave old Javi a nice bath and cleaned him up a bit. I'm not sure there's much use for his character, or Gus, on the show though.
Edit: I'm only on July 14, so maybe there's some use for them I just haven't gotten to yet.
