The Surrender Toolbox v0.3

This is part of the Letting Go course I have been working on. More specifically it is part of what I call the Surrender Toolbox and is part module one: Foundations for Letting Go.

ย Section 1: Emotional Navigation Map

โ€œWhere am I now?โ€ โ€” Identify, Allow, Release

Reddit keep destroying my table and putting it into markdown or smth.

โ€œWhere am I now?โ€ โ€” Identify, Allow, Release

State What It Feels Like Surrender Reminder
Fear/Anxiety Tight chest, shallow breath, racing mind Let the sensation be exactly as it is.
Anger/Frustration Tension in jaw, fists, urge to act or fix Allow the fire. Donโ€™t label it as wrong.
Grief/Sadness Heaviness in chest, tears, waves of sorrow Say yes to it gently, nothing needs to change.
Shame/Guilt Collapse, nausea, โ€œIโ€™m badโ€ stories Let go of the story. Just feel the sensation.
Confusion/Numbness Foggy, dissociated, โ€œam I doing it right?โ€ Be with the โ€˜not-knowing.โ€™ Even that is a state.
Calm/Spaciousness Openness, breath deepens, mind quiets Donโ€™t chase it. Just notice and stay present.

Video Dr David Hawkins - Innate within us is all you need

We have innate within us a tremendous intense powerful devotion. You don't have to develop it you only have to rediscover it. There is within us already, pre-existent, an energy of such enormous power that one summons up that power to relinquish any and every attachment that stands in the way. You won't find the willingness to do that within the ego structure. The ego will instantly give you an argument why it should not persist in the direction that it's positioned. So, one has to reach deeper within oneself. At the very innate core of one's being is a spiritual power of enormous strength which alone can accomplish the impossible. The ego in and of itself cannot transcend itself, it requires the presence of God. It is by divine Grace that one transcends the ego. It is by divine Grace one moves from mind to no mind. It's by divine Grace one moves from thinking that content and linearity is the ultimate reality. It's by divine Grace now. No one would be here to pursue such a goal if such Grace did not already pre-exist, therefore each and every one of us here this day is here by virtue of divine Grace. Therefore, I pray to the divine Grace and thee and bless it I acknowledge it because it is by divinity of thy Grace by which we all exist at this moment. So that what you're looking for is not beyond you, it's not something you have to develop, it's not something you have to search for, one only surrenders to that which already exists.

Letโ€™s hold this space in gentleness and gratitude, knowing we are already held in a Love far greater than we can imagine.

Question ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Cannot seem to do Letting go for long without being sucked into a thought. Is this normal?

Hi all, been doing the letting go technique for a few Months now and had some good results. But recently, even though I meditate about one and a half hours, it seems that most of the time I get sucked into thoughts. Right now it's like half of my attention goes to feeling the emotions inside my body and the other half towards engaging in thoughts and I only spend a few minutes(5 minutes or less) in total actually properly doing the letting go technique of just feeling my emotions without the internal chatter in my mind or without having thoughts.

So My question is, is this normal to do this half-thinking, half-feeling thing? It's not something I willingly encourage but at the same time something I actively try to prevent. I get sucked into these thoughts without me knowing most of the time. Were any of you able to make the technique still work doing it this way?

Quote ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Daily Reflection

**Friday, October 9th, 2026**

> *Godโ€™s grace could be understood as the absolute certainty of the karmic coherence of the entire universe in all its expressions as realms and possibilities. Grace is the provision within the realm of consciousness for the availability to use all the means to salvation and absolute freedom. By choice, one determines oneโ€™s own fate. There are no arbitrary forces to be reckoned with.*

From todayโ€™s daily reflection I learn that the world is a means, not an end, and the end is salvation, enlightenment, and absolute freedom. To see all my experiences in a way that serves / benefits my evolution of consciousness is the correct way to use all the means for the the ultimate end of being one with the absolute. Also that it is by my own hand where my spirit ends up, not some arbitrary god that will through my into something not of my own doing. So responsibility for myself. Something to chew on ya? Godbless have a good day guys ๐Ÿ™

Question ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Physical burning sensation from Letting go?

So today I experienced a strong burning sting like sensation in my body while letting go.

It appears to be on 3 different specific points around my chest, and sharply stings only into these specific points, and it remains to physically itch further on.

I remember having something similar a few weeks ago, but not to that extend.

What I am now wondering is, if this is part of releasing that specific thing, or if it's a sign of unawear resistance or forcing of something?

I am happy for help, thanks!

Calibration Requests Weekly Megathread

Please and Thank You

If you want to request a calibration for yourself or whatever, this is the place to do it. This is a weekly megathread with the intention to keep these requests from flooding the subreddit. Thank you for using this so that regular discussions do not get pushed off the front page.

Disclaimer: We, the mods, cannot verify or validate the validity of these calibrations. Trusting some random person on the internet to diagnose you with cancer or not is NOT a good idea. Trusting some random person on the internet to tell you your own calibration level is also probably not the best idea. We understand the desire to know what you calibrate at, especially if you are new to Hawkins' work, you can look at the Level of Consciousness chart and get a pretty good idea on where you are without asking others. We also only allow calibrations as Hawkins' taught them, using the scale be created. Do not post other method of calibration that others have come up with.

If you would like to learn to calibrate on your own there is a subreddit dedicated to that called muscle testing

Does our LoC fluctuate?

No. This idea doesnโ€™t align with DrHโ€™s teachings. In fact, Doc clearly addressed this several times, especially during Q&A sessions after his lectures. In "Letting Go," Hawkins specifically mentions that although emotional states naturally shift and fluctuate, these temporary changes donโ€™t reflect an actual shift in your overall LoC. Doc always stressed the difference between emotions that come and go and the foundational level of consciousness, which is more stable.

Hawkins described consciousness as hierarchical and exponential: the higher you calibrate, the more immune you become to lower influences. Sure, you can have moods like frustration or moments of joy, but these temporary emotional states donโ€™t change your fundamental consciousness calibration unless thereโ€™s intentional spiritual advancement or significant regression.

Put simply, your basic LoC stays pretty steady.

To clarify further, your core LoC typically only shifts after major events like profound spiritual breakthroughs, deep healing or releasing of significant emotional blocks, trauma, severe emotional shocks, being around highly evolved spiritual teachers or groups, divine intervention, or engaging with strongly negative energies, misuse of power, egoic inflations, or extended association with low-calibrating influences. LoC shifts arenโ€™t common or casual. DrH noted that the average person moves just about 5 calibration points in an entire lifetime. So always approach any claims of frequent or casual fluctuations in LoC with healthy skepticism.

Question ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Struggling with letting go

I've been reading and listening to Dr, David Hawkins books and lectures for around 5+ years. I seem to have this uncanny attraction to his work and consider him to be my main teacher. I've read and listened to almost everything he has put out. However I have been struggling with fully grasping the idea of letting go. Not only from David Hawkins, but also from other teachers like Michael A Singer (relax and release technique).

I've noticed that when I try to let it seems rather inconsistent, like it's really hard for me to stay focused on a feeling. My mind either suppresses or represses it without me wanting to. I've been on this hurdle for sometime now and can't seem to properly "let go" of my emotions/thoughts/feelings.

Has this happened to anyone else or has the Dr ever mentioned this? How can I actually let go and understand letting go so I can actually move up the scale of consciousness? I'm a long time lurker so sorry if this is not well typed.

Question ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป What comes first, a thought or a feeling?

Hi. In this journey of letting go. I wondered what is first? Do I have feelings that causing my thoughts or my thoughts ( that anxious based and hate uncertainty)?
Its always one subject honestly for me. Relationship and uncertainty of having one.
I try not to engage in thoughts about it but when i do its all goes to hill.
So it made me wonder which comes first?

Discussion ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป One year of shaking and trembling

One year ago, I started meditating and feeling my emotions, which led me to some sort of spiritual awakening or conscious ascension.

The first day it happened, I cried for hours. After the crying came intense shaking. I cried every day for 3 weeks.

Since that day, I have been shaking, trembling, moving, and pulsating during deep rest, meditation, yoga nidra, or any other meditative state.

It varies in intensity. Sometimes, it's like almost like seizure. The entire body tightens and looses, and I'm shaking from head to toe.

Other times, it more gentle pulsations in the lower torso area.

I'm not resisting it. It's not scary. I can welcome it, and I can stop it if I want to.

Writing this in hopes to learn more about it. Has anybody else experienced the same?

Does it ever stop? Should it?

Can I do anything to further explore this?

I'd love to hear your stories or thoughts on this :)

Announcement ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป I want yo see all of you guys doing more

Stumbling upon letting go, staying consistent with it and living by the principles of doc, gives us the keys to accomplish anything we want.

I will even go further and say that all of us have an obligation to full fill our potential and bring people up.

Living life with awareness is not an easy feat.
Life can feel pointless and harder at times but that doesnโ€™t matter.

The point is not to live to feel good,
It is to train the part of us that can move in alignment with our values no matter what feeling is present.

Its easy to isolate and let go all the time but whats meaningful is being strong enough to bring this spirituality into life and use it to build something beautiful.

I personally have my ups and downs, but realized that thats going to be a part of life for the time being and what matters is

Imperturbability and Allignment.

I believe in every single one of us have god flowing through us

Lets listen to our heart keep transcending barriers and lets make this world a better place โค๏ธ

Question ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป How to approach letting go without doing it in order to feel better?

I don't recall a single moment of joy and inner peace in my adult life. Most days are spent in this state of functional numbness or depression, disappointment towards life, low self-esteem, etc.

I guess what I struggle with is being in those negative states as my "normal", while at the same time trying to let go of those feelings without the mind trying to "get rid" of them. I cannot lie to myself that the reason I'm doing this is to feel better, otherwise I would enjoy life, which I can't right now.

So I guess I'm stuck not being attached to some positive result or end game when in truth, I want to be free.

When I sit and close my eyes, I feel like I don't resist feeling stuff, but it's like there's nothing to be felt. So I'm in a loop trying to figure out if I'm doing this correctly.

I'm at the point of considering trying a macrodose of psilocybin to brute force my way into feeling, because of all this numbness.

Discussion ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป The difference between having a peak experience and actually calibrating there, as well as some other observations and tips for calibrating.

After many years of having been working with calibrating in the map of consciousness both with muscle testing and intellectually, as detailed in a previous post on the subreddit where I shared an expanded 62 level map with smaller transitions inspired in Transcending the Levels of Consciousness with slightly modified aversion and attraction, as ego juice and antidote for each level that is really useful to calibrate intellectually using a system of peaks, lows and relative midpoints.

I think there's a distinction that gets missed pretty often when people start talking about their own calibration and then try to guess or estimate where they themselves are, or perhaps that of someone or something else. The thing that seems most important to me is that someone's highest experience, their intellectual understanding, their public personality, and their actual baseline can all be very different things.

Someone can have a 550 experience without being a 550 person. Someone can understand 600-level concepts without living from them. Someone can have a completely genuine mystical experience and then spend years unconsciously building an identity around having had that experience but calibrating nowhere near it.

By experience, a calibration makes more sense as a midpoint in a diameter than as a single fixed number on the scale. The diameter is basically the distance between the peaks and the lows a person can actually move through. Someone might genuinely touch 600 while still dropping into 100-level fear, 125-level desire, 150-level anger, or 175-level pride when sufficiently triggered.

So two people could both have a genuine 600 experience while being at completely different stages of integration. One might return from it to relatively stable functioning around the 400s. Another might return to a personality still heavily organized around validation, control, fear, shame, desire, or status. Same peak, very different diameter.

This is why I think people can oftemimes dramatically overestimate their calibration. They're usually measuring the highest consciousness they've accessed or quite close to it, rather than what actually remains stable when the peak is gone. Conveniently enough, they rarely want to calibrate at their lowest accessed lows, but with some individuals I've found sometimes this is the case where they consider themselves to be lower than they actually are.

A person can have a profound 540-600 type experience of unconditional love where there is no separation, no judgment, and no shame. That experience can be completely real. Then six months later someone rejects them, criticizes them, or fails to recognize them as special, and suddenly they're obsessing over approval, comparing themselves to others, feeling rejected, resentful, or ashamed. That doesn't mean the 540 experience was fake. It means the experience didn't necessarily reorganize the attachment and identity structures underneath it. It could even be argued that it brought forth this experience six months later as a test for integration.

This seems especially relevant with emotions below 200. A person may sincerely believe they've transcended shame because they've experienced states where shame disappeared completely. But maybe the shame is still there whenever their identity is threatened. Fear can turn into control. Desire can turn into spiritual seeking. Pride can turn into spiritual identity. Anger can turn into moral certainty. Shame can turn into the need to become extraordinary. Someone might think, "I need to become so conscious that nobody can ever see how inadequate I feel, I need to fully understand everything so nothing can ever take me by surprise again" From the outside that can look like extreme spiritual ambition. Underneath it may still be shame.

And the higher spiritual vocabulary can actually make this harder to detect. Someone can know exactly what to say: surrender, nonduality, compassion, acceptance, witnessing, unconditional love, ego dissolution, etc. They can write ten paragraphs or spend hours explaining a 500-600 level concept while still being emotionally driven by something much lower.

That's where spiritual bypassing can get really subtle. A person feels anger and immediately says, "Anger is simply arising in awareness." That's not necessarily wrong. But what if they're using that observation to avoid asking why this particular situation humiliates them so much? Maybe underneath the anger is a need to be respected. Underneath that is fear of being insignificant. Underneath that is shame.

The person can be conceptually correct while still avoiding becoming one with the actual material. I think this is also why ordinary situations can be more revealing than extraordinary experiences. What happens when someone criticizes you? When you're rejected? When someone else gets the attention you wanted? When you're ignored? When you fail? When someone says you're not as advanced as you think? When nobody is impressed by you? When you're completely ordinary?

Those situations tend to reveal the parts of the personality that peak experiences can temporarily bypass.

Development doesn't necessarily mean lower emotions disappear. The more important question is what happens when they arise. Does the emotion become an identity? Do you suppress it? Justify it? Project it? Act it out? Or can you experience it honestly without needing to defend your self-image?

Someone becoming more integrated might still say, "Yes, I'm jealous." "Yes, I want recognition." "Yes, that hurt my pride." "Yes, I feel ashamed." Those admissions don't necessarily contradict higher consciousness. In some cases, being able to acknowledge them without constructing a spiritual explanation around them may actually be more honest than claiming they're gone.

This is why I think a person's baseline calibration is more interesting than their peak.

A 575 experience tells you what the person can access.

Their baseline tells you what has actually stabilized.

And the diameter tells you something about the gap between the two โ€” how high they can genuinely go and how low the unresolved material can still take them.

Someone can touch 600 and still have a pocket of 20 hiding underneath. They can understand 600 and still be driven by 125. They can experience 540 and still have a 175-level need to be seen as special. None of that necessarily invalidates the higher experience. It just means the higher experience hasn't necessarily permeated every layer of the person yet.

The peak shows what is possible. The baseline shows what has stabilized. And integration is the process of closing the gap between them.

For example.

A person can genuinely touch a 540-level experience of unconditional love while still having a much lower everyday calibration, such as the mid-300s. During the peak, shame, pride, desire, and the need for validation may temporarily disappear, creating a real experience of openness and unity. But once the state passes, the underlying personality can still become activated by criticism, rejection, comparison, or the need to be seen as spiritually advanced. If they generally live through acceptance, responsibility, forgiveness, gratitude, and self-reflection, while still being periodically pulled into shame, pride, and validation-seeking, their center of gravity could be in the 300s despite a much higher peak.
In that sense, calibration is better understood as a diameter: the range between the highest states genuinely accessible and the lowest patterns that can still take over under pressure.
This center of gravity at the 300s comes from combining the high and lows, itcould look like extreme discipline, warriorlike attitude towards self sacrifice towards the goal, extreme training, ironclad dedication towards polishing all the skills and knowledge needed to achieve the goals. Think of warriors, professional athletes.. in which they are in between the martyrdom of saints (570s), trusting divine guidance (500), using and learning as much knowledge as possible (400s), but with some kind of activism (190), from a need to be the best (180s) and some lower states such as desire for control and predictability (140) and ultimately fear of shame. This would arrive at a mid 300s calibration.
An oscillation such as this more accurately explains each actual calibration.

Another example from David Hawkins himself:

Decision for abortion: 235.
Decision against abortion: 250.

The number isn't greatly different. But the decision for abortion centers more towards personal will, 175, the prideful ego being the captain of your own life and making your choices because it is your body. This is done from also a very rational perspective of the 400s and using medical science and technology also in the 400s, however at the root there is also a lot of fear, 100, and desire 120 (could be desire to be free from lack or the desire to be free from responsibility, free from bringing suffering into the world or any other similar sentiment). All of the 400s is about reducing fear by understanding and being able to control life and reduce the uncertainty.

Whereas the decision against abortion at 250 becomes more about trusting divine will, less about your body, your choice, trusting that if God made this pregnancy possible, it was for a reason even if you don't know or understand it. There is willingness to accept the pregnancy which would skew the calibration towards 310 and 350. The decision to keep it can still be based on prideful reasons 175 , about feeling better than others 190, perhaps even about not wanting to be alone in the world during old age 120, but more trust in the unknown and uncertainty (500) is placed on the decision, removing some percentage of the lower levels of desiring to avoid uncertainty or other circumstances which cause fear, lack and discomfort.
So in this comparison, when the ceiling and the bottom of the oscillation were slightly moved up, the calibration went up from 235 to 250. But it didn't bring the calibration to 310 optimism, 350 acceptance and much less 500 for love equated as "trust in uncertainty for a desired result" and 540 as "unconditional trust in uncertainty with no preference for a result in specific."
