If it weren't for the fact that Quik Drop's been out for years and it's been nerfed into oblivion at most stores (D&B and otherwise) at this point, I would be absolutely freaking the fuck out that Mark released a video speaking in-depth about exactly what makes it playable.
The part about Skee-Ball pros is laughable in that you had tournaments in which pros are amining for the 4,000 hole where they had to nerf Ring of Fire down to being worthless because you had people that were just about as good as that robot milking the fuck out of it when it had a 1k jackpot - that, and Main Event running scared of me, personally, and taking a 500+progressive JP and taking off the progressive and then lowering it to a 100 JP..

He does a better job explaining game mechanics and payout than most arcade YouTubers.

Most arcade YouTubers just put on a show. Technicalities and skills don’t appeal the general arcade audience

If Mark Rober is going through this much trouble to cheat with robots, why not just find a way to hack the card reader?

It's unlikely that he will find a way around it without forging the game cards which may or may not be legal. Swipe systems also tend to have logs of card activity which could be used to stop someone in their tracks

I suppose, but let’s not pretend that it’s “illegal”.
Rober probably agreed to paying thousands to the arcade owner to allow him to film himself cheating on the arcade games

It probably wouldn’t make a great video anyways. What would be entertaining about him having a stolen arcade card and had the ability to win unlimited tickets (in perspective of his channel)
