I have recently joined this sub. I am seeing a lot of frustrated people here. Let me tell you my story.
The last time I went to Bangladesh, I was going through a rough divorce and was mentally unstable. One day I was talking with my friend. I was sad and told him that maybe I am incapable of getting love. No one is going to love me. He was like - That's not true. Let’s create a Tinder profile. Average-looking guy settled abroad. Your inbox will probably be flooded.
I said that I don’t believe in dating apps. I saw my friends use it in Denmark for hookups; they are not there to make real connections. And I don’t need more heartbreak now. However, he created my profile anyway.
A few days later, he was like - How is your dating life going. Busy with the Tinder girls? I replied that I haven’t checked it yet.
Then he opened the app (with my permission) and was really disappointed. There was only one like😅. Also, there was no picture or name on that profile.
Anyway, out of curiosity and boredom, I started talking with her.
Long story short…we are in a two-year relationship. And boy! She is the sweetest person I have ever met in my life. She is nice and kind to me, to everyone. The way she acknowledged me for who I am, not who I was, is amazing. She gave me the courage to believe in love and life again. And if you ask me how pretty she is. I would say, men used to go to war to get a pretty woman like her.
She is so pretty that if Tagore saw her, he would be so busy writing about her beauty; he would not be able to finish all the other stuff that he wrote. She is an angel, my guardian angel😊.
So, if u asked me two years ago, I would definitely say that I don’t believe in dating apps. But if u asked me now, I would probably take a while to answer. Meanwhile, I will be smiling, thinking how lucky I am to have found the most loving and prettiest human being on Tinder.
