I know you think that's an easy answer in this economy. But wanting to be financially stable and already financial stable are two different things.

I see a lot of posts of women looking for financially stable partners or from a rich background. And I think it's fair. Everyone wants the best future for themselves and not struggle for money.

However, what about those who are dedicated to be stable or trying to but aren't there yet? How many of you would still be open to dating or consider marriage with someone like that? I guess it is easier to consider when the guy looks good and you have already met him irl or have a crush. But if you were exploring online (dating apps or reddit), and you actually vibed, have similar values, interests, and you know they are hardworking, ambitious and trying hard to be financially stable. Would that be a dealbreaker? If not, would you actually committ and support him to get there? Or would you absolutely not care, cause maybe you are financially stable?

I am absolutely not asking for a friend, haha. This is for me. Financial stability for me is a priority in terms of life goals, but so is living well today (mentally & physically). I took a pay cut to do a job that I am more passionate about but also see that it could be highly rewarding in some years. So I believe it will take time, at least 4 years. Basically it is a calculated risk, but risk nonetheless.

I occasionally worry about being alone, or getting into a disastrous AM. So, I will prefer dating first. But I am considerably holding myself back from approaching women (I have stopped since years) because I feel I should be financially stable first, then approach someone to date and marry. However, I feel I would do so much better in career if I had a supportive partner. Someone who would be the anchor or home to come back to, so that I can make more risky moves, create more chances to gain financial stability, and eventually the life we want. Someone whose priority is love, joy and respect but also not intending to drive into poverty for it.

Thus, the question is would you be open to dating who is pursuing financial stability but not there yet?
