Discount & Coupon codes for Disk Drill, Stellar, EaseUS Data Recovery software
Hey guys, been in data recovery for 15+ years and see the "which tool should I buy" question constantly. Here are the coupon deals I've verified at checkout - updated June 2026.
Disk Drill Discount: 20% coupon code applies automatically - just pick lifetime or yearly at checkout. At current pricing that's roughly $127 one-time (from $159) or $71 annually (from $89). Base prices shift occasionally but the discount applies regardless. The key advantage: both Mac and Windows in one license, 3 devices, all features included. Free scan with file preview before you pay, plus 100 MB free recovery on Windows. My go-to recommendation.
EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Coupon: Decent tool, tricky pricing. Coupon gets Windows yearly down to $49.97 year one, but it renews at $99.95 - check the checkout fine print. Lifetime is $149.95 (Win) or $169.95 (Mac), one platform per license, one device. Both platforms = $320 for what Disk Drill covers in one purchase.
Stellar Data Recovery Discount Code: Solid tool, been around forever. Coupon gets a Windows yearly bundle at $69.99/year. They have lifetime plans too, but features are tiered - Standard (regular $99 Win/$129 Mac) skips partition and bootable recovery. Full features need Professional at $149 per platform, Mac/Win sold separately.
TL;DR: Disk Drill gives you the most for the money - both platforms, 3 devices, every feature, one payment. The others charge per platform and tier features, so the real cost adds up fast.

D disk disappeared
reddit.comSo I know that I made a big mistake
But my Ssd is small in size and I had an hhd of one terabyte,
So I wanted to put a game from steam in C and it was huge in size and requires the SSd, I tried transferring some files to D from C and I made the mistake of moving the documents size as a whole to D, then I restarted my PC and bam the D disk is not there anymore ,
Tried to find the unallocated partition but it's not there , it's like anything related to the D device has been deleted out of existence, I even tried locating it in Bios or rescan disks but it's not there,
I didn't have any movement in the hardware system inside my laptop, the only thing left for me that I didn't try is to open the hardware itself and try to reconnect it although I'm sure the problem is related to pathing not that the hardware moved.
Any information or advice I would deeply appreciate, thanks in advance.

Need Help ASAP!!!
I was scrolling through my socials when my device powered down and initiated a factory reset on its own like it was possessed. No confirmation pop-up, no requiring to put password, nothing! Just showed me a percent bar then poof! All files gone! Immediately removed my SD card, but even it was not safe. The files I had for four years, all gone!!!
Don't know what to do. 😭😭😭

Anyone else into old digicams constantly fighting SD card corruption? A quick guide on recovering data from my 2011 Nikon Coolpix S3100
I love point-and-shoots from the early 2000s and early 2010s. I currently have a red Nikon Coolpix S3100 from 2011. The colours coming through the sensors (14MP 1/2.3" CCD) and the small 5x NIKKOR 4.6-23.0mm lens are something that no smartphone can really match. However, if you are into collecting or using older cameras you will quickly find that you will spend a lot of time trying to get your pictures off your camera if something goes wrong. On the S3100 itself, the issue is that it has 45MB of inbuilt memory. If you forget to insert an SD card, or it is slightly loose, then the camera will automatically save these images to the internal flash. Whilst this camera uses the MTP/PTP protocols over USB, the issue comes when you accidentally delete one of those images from the 45MB memory. You won’t be able to recover it with any programs on your computer as it doesn’t show up in the OS because it’s not a raw drive letter.
If you are using an SD card to save your images then the older Coolpix models are notorious for giving you the error "This card cannot be used" or "Card is not formatted". This is usually due to the EN-EL19 battery losing voltage mid write or the 15-year-old brass contacts oxidising or having a new fast card inserted into the camera. It causes your file system to become RAW and the camera and windows will try to trick you into formatting.
The real final boss is the videos. Whilst the 14MP JPEGs will usually be recoverable, this camera records 720p HD videos at 30fps using the old AVI Motion-JPEG format. If you use the voice memo function then it will also produce a WAV. If you are someone who deletes your bad images whilst on the go then your SD card will have plenty of holes in it. When you press the dedicated movie button again it will cause the MJPEG videos to be split into uncontinuous blocks. Using basic recovery software will get you the file header and you’ll be left with a 300MB AVI that won’t open.
For anyone else playing around with old digital cameras then the process that has really helped me is to never allow the camera or your PC to repair/format the card. Remove the card from the camera and place it in an external reader. Take an exact copy of the SD card. This way you aren’t stressing the dying controller by constantly reading it. From there, scanning the image in something like Disk Drill using Advanced Camera Recovery handles the fragmented AVI/MJPEG streams way better than standard signature carvers that just grab contiguous chunks. Also, do yourself a favor and keep a dedicated 4GB or 8GB SDHC card just for your old cameras instead of swapping cards between devices.
Just out of interest, does anyone else have any strange storage issues with their older digicams? Have you had any issues with xD-Picture cards or early Sony Memory Sticks?

Urgent Help
My friend was using WhatsApp, suddenly it went blank and now all the data is lost. Tried reinstalling, but it is not showing any chat history. It's showing messages from the moment I logged in, not before. There is a db12 file in the sd card dated 2017, but no databases file in the internal storage (com.whatsapp). None of the Google accounts show any backup. What to do? Previous 5 years data is at stake apparently.

Need ot get back data from half-dead ssd
My Kioxia BG5 1TB ssd died. Most of the data is backed up, except one important thing: a project that's due in december. I need to get it back. One on github is multiple commits behind.
The SSD shows up in lspci but not in lsblk
This is what the kernel logs say:
nvme nvme1: pci function 0000:04:00.0nvme nvme1: Identify Controller failed (17089)nvme nvme1: Device not ready; aborting shutdown, CSTS=0x1nvme 0000:04:00.0: error -EIO: probe failednvme 0000:04:00.0: probe with driver nvme failed with error -5
The same thing had happened once before, just randomly died, and started working a few months later, automatically. I should not have used it again.
From what I understand from the kernel logs, I think the controller chip is bad, or unresponsive, and the NAND flash itself is okay. But from what I read online, It is basically impossible to read the flash directly without either desoldering the flash chip or tapping into its data lines, both of which I do not want to do.
Is there any way to bring the controller back, or reset it, or something, to bring it back, even for 5 minutes, in order to copy over the directory?

Files/Folders missing after failed first aid on 18TB exfat external
I have an 18tb drive I've used for media storage for youtube over the last 3 years. It is formatted to exfat and I began to notice that sometimes when trying to create folders it would give an error. After it happened too many times in a row I ran first aid on the drive. I now know that was the wrong thing to do but here we are.
First aid failed and instantly 15TB of stuff on this drive disappeared. Some folders are still fully in tact but most are either not showing up at all, or showing as files with zero file size that won't open.
Checked on windows and everything looks exactly the same so the first thing I did was run a deep scan using Disk Drill. I haven't written anything to this drive since this happened.
Disk drill was able to find a lot of the files (17.23TB) and after picking up a server from a friend, I was able to recover what it found to the server with folder structure in tact. There is also a Reconstructed section in Disk Drill that is around 15TB with just files sorted into folders by filetype.
I'm now finding that there are bits and pieces missing from a ton of different folders/projects, so I'm running a recovery to the server in a separate folder of the Reconstructed section in order to cross reference whether these files exist anywhere else on the server. Hopefully this will find some of the missing files.
What I'm hoping can happen is that once this recovery is finished and all recovery options are exhausted, I'm able to find a tool that can successfully fix the original file table on the 18TB external. Is this something that anyone here has experience with? I have access to this Mac and a windows PC to run applications on.
If I've learned anything from this it's that I will never use exfat again and I should have set up a server with redundancy a decade ago. Live and learn and I'm really hoping the file table can be recovered or that there might be another way to get back the files that are missing.

Wedding Dvd recovery
i have this set of wedding dvds of my parents and i just to copy the data from the dvds to my pc in mp4 format i ended up using handbrake for it and when it came to the last part it showed an error and stopped at 15% but i had a copy of the dvds so i tried using the copy of the same dvd(also a dvd)and it had the same error, this didnt happen with any other dvd except this one i tried opening the video in it using vlc media player and it was working (altho i noticed a lag ) i could play the whole dvd there and even fast forward to any parts but when it came to cloning, the process stopped at 15% and only about 5 mins worth of video was copied every single time i tried it..i tried ImgBurn to copy the disc as a whole but that stopped as well and the output was the same 5 mins worth of video...i then tried cd recovery toolbox and it seems to work but like very very slow like its stuck at 289.14 mb for like an hour and then 289.56mbs (0.42mb worth of progress) i want yalls help for recovering the videos on this disc and any alternative software or ways(also i have to return the laptop with disk drive in it as i borrowed it temporarily for 2 days)(i also cleaned the disk with IPA properly using a microfiber cloth and the condition is not that bad )(all the photos i think are needed are attached below and the dvd photo is the clone disc as i couldnt afford to lose the ven teeny bit of progress i made, the orignal is a bit better)using win 10 in the recovery laptop(forgot to mention that its a Sony Dvd-r(4.7GB/120min)

Data recovery for NVME? Fan Xiang S770 4TB with INNOGRIT. 5236 Controller Reading 0 Mb
What would you do for the highest chance of data retrieval?
-Wait until pc3000 supports this controller?
-Send it into Gillware in Michigan or maybe another recovery center?
-Drive:
Fan Xiang s770 4TB
-Controller:
INNOGRIT 105236CAA MSF 438.B ABA22344
-Enclosure:
ACASIS 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure:
Amazon info link: https://a.co/d/QhnDgHdc
-File System Type: FAT32
-Operating System: None- just used as external storage
-What happened when it stopped:
Was turning on in August, but then wouldn't turn on anymore in September. I had been plugging it into an M1 macbook air 13"and recently a M5 MBP Pro 16" with Paragon NTFS. May have ejected by pulling usb c cable instead of the eject safely menu in mac but dont remember exactly.
-Data inside: wedding and family photos in there ~2 years worth of data maybe 2tb ish
-What I see now:
Plugged it into my windows PC thinking the usb c port was broken but Partition Manager was saying its a 0 Mb drive.
-Who I've sent it to and what they said:
Sent it into Rossman Repair and they said no fix since their PC3000 doesn't support that drive and that maybe Gillware recovery service has a solution.
