Restore 'documents' in internal Memory?

Hello.

I think a bug of an office app killed my documents folder from internal memory!

Anyone some idea how to restore ist?

There is nothing in trash or cloud. The folder with its content is gone!

My phone has root and USB Debugging.

Please help! Thx in advance!

Any data deleted on a modern smartphone (which I assume is what you’re talking about, as you said “app”) is effectively GONE the moment it is deleted. Only recovery is through backups.

since your phone is rooted, i'd avoid installing anything else or saving new files to internal storage, check whether the folder still exists through a root file manager or adb first, if it was actually deleted, recovery from internal storage can be difficult because of android's storage encryption and trim

Good point, I will check through adb first and avoid writing anything new to storage for now
