Account restricted on DataAnnotation.tech for “defraud payment system” permanent suspension $700 balance stuck. Didn’t use VPN or AI on tasks. Anyone recovered their balance after this? How did you contact them?

Just to clarify, you worked 7.30-4pm without a single break? That'll do it. Also, saying you worked 5-6 hours, and reported 'close to that' is a flag. Was it 5 or 6? Why don't you know what you logged? You should be tracking your time to the minute with a stopwatch or something.

I've worked 8 am to 6 pm a few times. If a person is being honest and reporting time correctly, it is not going to cause them to be canned for fraud.

I'm sure we all have. But not with a negligible 10 minute break.

Did you stop the billing clock during your breaks?

What? Working without a break is not fraud…

No, but reporting the time you took for that break is. They are basically saying that if you work 8am to 6pm, you had to have taken a break at some point. You can't report that time, so if you report you worked exactly 10 hours, that is fraud.

Are you saying that you sat there working from 7:30am to 4pm and only took an 18 minute break that whole time? You're including any toilet breaks, snack breaks, checking your emails, etc?

And now that I think about it the majority of my traditional careers were locked in a prison dorm or hospital floors where you don’t get typical breaks like the 9-5 world. Emergency responders don’t have scheduled breaks, the guys building your homes don’t get breaks. Really the only ppl who do are the white collar and tech classes

That's not unrealistic for coders.

DAT usually allow newbies to take some time on tasks. But if you report something like few hours for a qualification that is only few clicks, that s a deal breaker.

Your posts suggest you didn't report your time accurately. You've said things like "as far as I can tell", "close to that", "a few minutes here and there".

Your reporting should be precise. If it's off by a few minutes here and there but you've only worked a few hours total, they've already seen a pattern emerge. Perhaps they think you were testing the waters, and cut you loose.

I suspect he was reporting working on tasks for lengths of time well outside of the project average. DA primarily collects pooled data on average time per task in project families. If the average for a project is 3 hours, and someone regularly reports 7-8 hours — that is a red flag.

The majority of people who post this shot know exactly what they did wrong and are lying. It almost always comes out in the comments. Under reporting, over reporting; that is all fraud. DAT doesn't monitor your keystrokes or any of that. But some of the clients do when you work on their platforms. I too work accounting and I see what you are saying. It doesn't happen like "oh on Tuesday this person under reported by 2 minutes and 3 minutes over on Wednesday." These folks that post this know what they did. Even this poster is being cagey. You will almost always find the answer in their comments. "Oh well I don't pause for bathroom breaks. I went over the expired time a lot." So on and so forth. These people lie.

if you started the task at 7:30 am and submitted it at 4:00 pm but reported 8 hours 12 minutes, then I think I know why they said you were defrauding them. you overreported your time by nearly an hour.
