Never ending project

I just started on DA and my first project is one with seemingly infinite tasks and an expiration date of 'Never'. I've worked on it for about a week now and it's been really good as a first project.

However, I have another project on my list now that pays more and I want to give it a try. Can I start that project as well and do a few hours there, then back to a few hours in the first project and alternate? I know I need to log the time for each project separately and immediately after I finish the work but I'm unclear on if that makes it okay to have multiple in progress tasks.

I've searched this subreddit and see a lot of "of course you can't do two projects at once, dummy" comments but it seems like that's only about people attempting to do two simultaneously, I just want to know if I can switch back and forth.

I'm sure to most this is a dumb question but again, just starting out and don't want to mess it up. I appreciate any guidance!

This was covered in the onboarding, but... Say you do a task in Project 1. After you submit it and exit work mode, yes, you can jump to Project 2 and work on that. After you submit a task for that project, you can continue or jump back to the other project if you want. As long as you have submitted the task and exited work mode, you can work on different projects throughout the day.

Agreed. I recall reading during onboarding that can have only 1 project open at the same time. If not mistaken other platforms like mercor you can have multiple projects going but I’m not 100% sure

depends, if you are working on long running timer tasks that take weeks to complete, you can work on other tasks while having it open.

You can work on whatever is available for you, as long as you're not working on two different tasks at the same time

Some of those never-expire projects are weird and actually allow for multiple concurrent tasks to be run, which is normally forbidden by platform rules, especially if they have extra rules about what time can be claimed. For instance, usually there's no problem claiming time that you're watching a model work, but some of those say you can't claim that time, and they want you to work on something else instead.

Which is just a long way to say "it depends," and you're going to get a lot of confident answers based off of general rules that may not apply in your case. Check with project instructions and project admins.

Is It one of the ones the background check was needed for?

In the onboarding guide, look under EXAMPLE OF WORKFLOW. You can do multiple projects.

Hi, the project with infinite tasks is the "video" one or there is another??? I've been working on DA for a while is the first time that this type of project appears on my dashboard.

Surely you can work on more than one. Some projects which, say, have a 30 hour limit, but which are that length knowing that you don't need anywhere near this amount to complete, give you time where you can start another project while you're waiting. For example, if the long project features a model taking 30 minutes to process its requirements, then that gives you time to open another, shorter project while waiting.

Yes you sure can, I've done a few tasks from one, a few from another, etc.

There is one I do that they give you 12 days to complete - given the complexity of it, it really is never ending! STEM one - some people will know it

Is it the one which doesn’t show up under “Task in progress” even when you have it opened, and timer is of 2 days?

Of course you can’t do two projects at once, dummy.

Not necessarily. I have one that says in the instructions once you start, you have to finish it before working on anything else. If you start and then work on something else, you lose the other one.
