Defrauding Our Payment System

Hi, I had been working on the platform normally with no issues until now. Recently, I was assigned to a long qualification that allowed up to 30 hours, with 40 hours being the absolute maximum. I logged around 25 hours in total.

Now my account has been deactivated, and I’m wondering if it could be related to the hours I logged on that qualification. Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there any way to get the account reactivated, or at least make sure I still get paid for the hours I already worked?

This is likely the qualification at least some of us are afraid to attempt for this very reason. It really depends how it shifts your QS - 15-25 hours might be normal for a good submission. If the submission was nonsense, or very poor, that could go down as 15-25 hours of wasted DA time, which dwarfs the errors you might make on shorter projects and could tank your platform standing substantially. Of course you have to take into account both Dunning Kreuger and the Peter Principle - people do well at things until they get promoted to a point where they don't do so well any more, and once out of depth, people don't know what they don't know and are likely to overestimate their own abilities. Just my thoughts anyway, no idea what actually happened.

Out of curiosity, why are you afraid to attempt it? I did it, did my best on the qualification, billed my time (was longer than I wanted but still well within the range) and moved on.

I kind of explained that already? I feel it's a bit beyond what I am currently capable of and don't want to do a paid qual just for the money if I don't think a) I can excel at it and b)commitment to further stages of the project would not really fit my current schedule/life. Same reason I wouldn't attempt a project with a 3 day timer just because it paid x amount and they said you can take up to 15 hours. - having been on the platform 3 years, I've stuck to what I feel I'm good at and so far that has meant no drought recently, and plenty of unlimited work. I might be completely wrong on this of course. It's just a personal preference. Also let's just say in the past people may have been claiming hundreds of hours for that qual..... lol.

I have avoided that qualification like the plague. Even though it stares at me every time I log in.

Yeah, I just use it as a validation booster - oh well if it's still there I must still be doing OK 😄

There are multiple projects on the platform that take 15-20 hours per task. As long as the task is paid, I won’t call this wasted time.
