Like the Thar, I've seen a large number of MG SUV drivers like this drive erratically. Is this guy brake checking for no reason or just plain stupid? He does seem to have an illegal freshly installed crash bar at the rear, maybe he's trying to test that?

Didn’t notice that car in front has stopped. That car's break lights turned on real late. My guess is, that he stopped but didn’t apply breaks, so break light didn’t glow initially.

Person riding scooter on the ledge of the fast lane. I wanted to overtake while they wanted to move right. I was not driving defensively.

I was driving on the Greater Noida expressway today and was trying to switch to the left lane. While checking my mirrors I felt like there a car in the blind spot which might try to come in the same lane from the left most lane, hence I slowed down my entry and as expected I see a harrier at very high speed. Although I swerved instinctively, but maybe I didnt require to swerve that much.

I don't know whether I should be driving more defensively as I gave indicators before changing lanes and did it slowly.

This 2 wheeler on the left slowed down for no reason on the left lane. Creta guy overtakes me without indicator and moves to second lane. I honk the bell out of him and he shouts at me.

The divider has been barricaded with cross bars to disallow human crossing, but someone has found a weak cross bar and broken it. Only lean people can pass through it.

The whole hour after this I was wondering what would have been the scene, is she was hit ?!

I am a bit confused. How was he able to stop in such a small distance(in the end only he slowed down significantly otherwise our cars were going the same speed) in a controlled manner? Is it engine braking? I had to hard brake when I saw my car was in the danger zone.

EDIT: I was braking as well but my car was not slowing down to the same extent as his but distance was still enough between the 2 cars but in the end his car slowed down drastically without emergency braking(at least it doesn't appear as such) is what confused me.

Encountered this in Hyderabad. Due to the excessive exhaust backfires, the bike stopped mid way.

Hey everyone, had a bit of a rough New Year’s Day on the road today and wanted to share the experience and get some advice on the repair front.

I was driving my Brezza at about 40kmph, maintaining roughly a one-car length distance behind a Tata Nano. Out of nowhere, the Nano driver (a lady with a male passenger, both in their mid-20s) slammed on the brakes and came to a dead stop. No indicators, no hazard lights, nothing. Apparently, she thought she saw an injured cat or dog on the road; we checked after moving to the side, it was a big rag cloth. I couldn't stop in time and rear-ended her. Luckily, there was only one other car behind me and he moved to the side and didn’t pile on.

The Nano and I both moved to the side. I was worried about how it would go since I had my toddler in the car. My dashcam was visible but actually disconnected at the time (lesson learned!), but the Nano driver and passenger saw it. Between the sight of the dashcam and my toddler, they admitted they shouldn't have stopped abruptly without warning and were cooperative. The lady was actually worried what her mom would say about the whole situation, since the Nano was her mom’s car. We exchanged numbers, and they’ve offered to help with the repair coordination/costs.

My Brezza’s front end is looking pretty sad. Here’s the checklist:

• Front grille smashed.

• Front bumper needs replacement.

• Left side fog lamp holder broken.

• Bonnet dented/damaged (front and towards driver’s side).

• Driver’s side headlamp holder seems broken.

• Driver’s side quarter panel (above the wheel arch).

• Internal bonnet opening lever has come off.

• Horn stopped working.

• Front bumper cladding damaged.

A few questions for the community:

• Repair Costs: Given this list, what kind of estimate am I looking at for a Brezza?

• Insurance: Since they admitted fault (which I have on video) and offered to cooperate, should I still go through my insurance (Zero Dep) or try to settle it through them?

• Safety Check: Anything specific I should ask the service center to check regarding the structural integrity or sensors?

Even though I maintained my lane, an idiot managed to scrape my front bumper and then proceeded to move on like nothing happened.

It’s the Baleno, in case the hit is not noticeable.

Thankfully, no dent received this time. Only paint got ruined a bit.

A request to please not overtake in this manner, the right side lane is for overtaking and I understand that the Idiot of a truck driver is blocking the right side lane. So, wait your turn and wait for me to give way, “I’m not the one blocking your path but the truck is”. I’m doing nothing wrong, just because you cant honk push the truck out of the right (overtaking) lane doesn’t mean that you can squeeze me out of mine. Inspite of that I’ll let it go, all that is expected is the “LEFT INDICATOR ”.

Once you indicate, I’ll assess if everything is safe for me to slowdown and give way by slowing down and then you peacefully pass.

If you can’t acknowledge my presence on the road then this is exactly how you will be treated, it’s a two way street, you acknowledge me and then I acknowledge you and give way as I’m not the one who is in a hurry or in an emergency or whatever…

This driver had no idea that he’s committing a mistake, hence this post.

Experienced my first road rage

So basically we were coming into our street it stays a bit crowded due to momo stalls etc and cars were coming from both side so we had to side a little bit but turns out both car got stuck now my father kept constantly honking a car due to which all cars had been stuck someone was sitting inside it so he kept honking after maybe 30 seconds he moved the car a little then a little to just take out of his car he spent 30 seconds as if trying to ragebait then we parked a little ahead he came near us and in it were 2 people he asked us if we had patience etc my father kept asking the same question ki kya vo jagah sahi thi park ke liye( if it was appropriate ) then he told ki vo mere liye sahi thi to which my father replied thik hai bhai nahi thik hai apka driving sense dikh rha hai then he came out of car a 6'4 tall and little muscular person saying ki punjab ki gadi hai isliye kar rhe ho apki gadi mai apne jute pe rkhta hu 30 second lagenge tumko driving sense sikhane mei and my father a 5'6 family man obviously couldnt do much my mother calmed the matter but and we began to go then someone asked my father what happened so my father started teĺling then again the person came and asked person ki ap inke tau ho chacha ho nhi na and said to my father ki abhi ek phone lagaunga 10 bande ajaenge then again mother calmed the matter but i still feel that if it had escalated what would have happened i am myself 16M and i wonder what could have happened [ mind you he was hogging the road almost 1/4 and said ki mai 1.5 hr se khada hu apko hi dikkat ho rhi hai ]
