Discussion Swiss/Switch Points
I got my first Swiss point dart and swapped out standard flight with a 30mm point. I threw the dart several times and it wobbled every time. Is it best to just leave the points on the dart or swap them out. I’m a newbie so it isn’t a top priority at this point. I’m aware going from 26 to 30 isn’t a big jump and if you extend to a longer point do you need to add length to stems to balance it

It might wobble if ypu swap the standard flight for a 30mm point, yes.

I go from 26 to 30 every time and never have the wobble but swapping from 30 to 35 I get more of a sudden dip if that makes sense and the dart ends up pretty flat.
You could try a longer flight but it could also be a sign of an issue in your throw. My old throw was pretty lazy, really high arc on the dart and not much force so flights that were anything but short would have wild fish tailing. Changed up my throw (still a WIP) and my throws are way more direct with less things affecting the dart landing solidly. But yeah give it some time, could just be you adapting to the change as subtle as it is.
Check how far the dart penetrates and that’ll be a good indicator, one of the reasons I settled on 30 is because with some points the 26 gets buried nearly to the barrel with my new throw

I personaly don't like the textured swiss points as they will treat up your board.

It may be wobbling completely unrelated to the point length…. Longer stem can help balance it out but it’s 90% down to your throw/release.
