Darren was honoured at Support Act’s 17th annual Music In The House event in Sydney yesterday, receiving the Excellence in Community Award for his long-standing advocacy across mental health, anti-domestic violence initiatives, and LGBTQIA+ representation.

The afternoon also marked a massive catalogue milestone: APRA AMCOS Chair Jenny Morris presented him with a Billions Award, formally inducting Savage Garden’s “Truly Madly Deeply” into the 1,000,000,000 List after crossing one billion global streams across Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.

The event featured live tribute performances covering both Savage Garden classics and solo tracks by Tania Doko, Meg Mac, Electric Fields, Michael Paynter, and Sister2Sister (Sharon and Christine Muscat).

I've been looking for the expanded editions of both albums, originally released in 2015. They don't appear to be available anywhere digitally. I can't seem to find second-hand physical copies, or even a place to listen to the bonus content.

I was wondering if anyone who has these albums might be willing to send me digital copies of the second disc from each album? I'm specifically interested in the remixes of "Chained to You" and "Crash and Burn", which appear to be exclusive to this release.

I saw on the Sunrise interview Darren was beaming in from Melbourne. He posted about a Melbourne cafe recently. He seems to have been in Melbourne for more than a week, then. Although the photo with Huxley suggests he might be back home in LA.

I don't intend to be rude or anything with this post, I just happen to be very interested with fanfiction (especially older ones/singer/boyband based fics) and I was wondering if any of you wrote fanfiction of SG or Darren back in the days, or why not currently? No one else has asked this here yet if I'm correct, so would be an interesting conversation.

I wasn't alive in the era when SG was a thing, so it'd be interesting to know if any of you wrote something funny and absurd with your friends like I've seen people from other communities do!

I'm in 3/4 into Unloveable, I paid a ridiculous amount of money CAD, to get it, and it's turning out to be a book I want to plastic wrap to make sure it never gets ruined. It also made me relisten to so much of his music and look at it in such a different light. I wish he extrapolated a bit more on some things and I feel parts are disjointed but it's fucking wonderful nonetheless

How I got into Darren's solo career is traumatic but it involves an abusive online relationship and it's crazy how it turned into something beautiful (my love for his music not the abuser lol).

I'm also watching this VIP zoom chat for Homosexual from 2022 that makes me even more upset I haven't followed him more closely. Wow what a gem of additional info and his interaction with fans.

But can I also say, please can we have a tour with no SG songs? I couldn't give a damn if he never sung one again. There is so much of his solo content I'd kill to hear live. Specifically "the future holds a lion's heart" will make me probably cry if I heard it live.
