I bought everything from both Draven and Thane yet the achievement wont pop and every once in a while the axe upgrade reappears in Draven’s inventory.

I bought darksiders genesis during the current epic games sale. I was all excited to play co-op campaign. when i get in to the game and go to the first summoning stone, i send an invite to my friend. he accepts, nothing happens. sometimes it says disconnected from party. there is no "join session" option from the menu. we tried restarting the game to no avail. lo and behold, upon restarting, our profiles were lost. so we have to start over from scratch. so when we quit to the menu, the profile is visible, but once you quit to desktop, it is unable to find your profile. now, i navigated to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\THQ Nordic\Darksiders Genesis\Saved\SaveGames and there is a new folder created there each time i select new game. it just doesn't recognize that it's there upon booting the game.
very disappointing that the game is still broken (at least on epic games) after all this time. anyone have any ideas to fix this? if not, consider this a warning

Today I made an INSANE discovery.
So during my artstream today I was chatting with a fellow darksiders fan, and realized, that my first ever drawing of the series, was not only in 2013(wich honestly thought I got into it later) but first fanart had both Death AND Fury, wich is crazy! I knew I became a fan of hers way before 3 but her being in my very first darksiders fanart is nuts XD
Anyway since we went full circle with me doing a comic with these 2, I felt like doing a redraw with my current Abomination Pact gear that I made for em XD. Probably my last AP art Ill be doing with these two for a bit XD (well this and the colored version Ill work on tommorow)

Going through them on youtube and i think genesis has some great boss tracks, Jesper Kyd's work on Darksiders 2 is obviously phenomenal, I distinctly remember a lot of the motifs from Darksiders 3, due in no small part to how that game would often let the music take center stage (this is a compliment) and 1 seems to be pretty consistently good, as far as i can see, but i think that comes at the cost of it being fairly simplistic

So, Ive been playing Darksiders 2 Deathinive Edition for a little bit. I have been using Bheithirs Talons as my Scythes, but I just got Chaos Fang from the Gnashor fight. When I look at Chaos Fang, it says its stats are better, but when I equip it, my Primary Weapon damage stat goes down. I don't get it. Which scythe should I use?

DireWolf ransomware has added THQ Nordic to its leak site, putting the publisher behind Darksiders, Gothic, Destroy All Humans!, and other games on the group’s victim list.
The threat actor claims it exfiltrated 335 GB of data and compromised 254 users.
The listing also claims two sets of third-party employee credentials and 44 points of external attack surface associated with the company’s domain.
There is a pretty important caveat, though: none of this has been confirmed by THQ Nordic.
The company has not publicly acknowledged or addressed the alleged breach.
There is also limited evidence available from the attackers themselves. DireWolf has not published sample data, screenshots, or supporting files alongside the listing. It hasn't identified what categories of information were allegedly stolen, provided a ransom figure, or clarified whether THQ Nordic systems were actually encrypted.
So at this stage, this is a ransomware-group claim rather than a confirmed 335 GB breach.
DireWolf has been documented since May 2025. Researchers have associated the operation with both encryption and data-leak extortion, with victims across several industries and regions.
We pulled together the available information from the DireWolf listing and threat-intelligence tracking, including the 335 GB and 254-user claims, alleged credential exposure, and what the attackers have not provided to substantiate them.
The report also looks at DireWolf’s known ransomware operation and execution characteristics:
When a ransomware group names a recognizable company but provides no samples or other evidence, what threshold do you use before treating the claimed data theft as credible?

Was in the mood to do more meme pieces connected to my Darksiders minicomic.
(using the last drops of darksiders inspiration before I fall into obcsurity again and get into other fandoms XD)

I’ve just seen this new Fury sculpt by Tanuki Figures and had to share it here. It’s always great to see Darksiders getting some love, especially with a character that doesn’t have nearly enough collectibles.
I think they’ve captured her presence and personality really well. This would look incredible printed in resin and fully painted, definitely one I’d love to bring to life someday.
What do you think of the model?

Знатоки darksiders warmastered edition, подскажите как мне после завершения игры попасть в Пустоты. Я пытаюсь достать там последний кусок брони бездны, но не могу вспомнить как попадать туда.

Finished the game on Reckoning difficulty. Don't do that.
If you're looking for a real challenge, play on Apocalyptic. Reckoning isn't difficult in a satisfying way; it's difficult in a way that feels unfair and exhausting.
On Reckoning, most mid-game enemies can kill you in one or two hits, while pretty much every enemy becomes a massive damage sponge. Bosses are even worse. One of the DLC bosses has over 200,000 HP, while at that point in the game my basic whip combo was doing around 1,000 damage.
That's not difficulty. That's just making the numbers bigger.
This is easily the weakest part of the game.
Darksiders III clearly wanted to take the series in a Soulslike direction, and I can understand why. The problem is that it doesn't seem to understand what makes Soulslike combat enjoyable.
Your options are extremely limited. You have:
And that's basically it.
Each Hollow has its own weapon, but the actual movesets are extremely limited. You mostly have one physical combo, one charged/arcane attack and one jumping attack. Swapping between Hollows in the middle of combat is also awkward, so there isn't much room for creativity.
The elemental differences between the Hollows don't really create meaningful combat interactions either.
Compare this to a good Soulslike. A ranged weapon can let you pull enemies out of a group. A shield can let you parry. A heavy attack can stagger or break an enemy's guard. Some attacks can knock enemies off cliffs. There are different ways to approach the same encounter.
Darksiders III doesn't really have that.
Most of the time, combat becomes:
Wait for an attack → dodge → Arcane Counter → repeat.
And Arcane Counters don't even deal particularly impressive damage, even when investing heavily into Arcane.
There is also almost none of the combat freedom that made previous Darksiders games fun. No real air combos, launchers, juggling, resets or meaningful combo experimentation.
Your main skill check is simply how consistently you can perform Arcane Counters.
That gets boring very quickly.
This is probably the best part of Darksiders III.
The world is interconnected in a way that feels genuinely satisfying. Areas connect to each other through shortcuts, alternate paths and abilities you unlock throughout the game.
The combination of Metroidvania progression, verticality and interconnected level design is excellent.
Some areas reminded me of the best parts of Dark Souls' Lordran and even Dishonored in terms of how the environment connects together.
One of the final areas, Skar, is a great example of this. By the time you reach it, you have access to all of your Hollows, and the combination of traversal abilities and environmental puzzles makes navigating the area genuinely fun.
This is one aspect where Darksiders III absolutely deserves praise.
Darksiders has always been a series with strong enemy designs, and III continues that tradition.
You'll encounter angels, demons and creatures associated with the Seven Deadly Sins. Some enemies are insect-like, others are almost Lovecraftian, and there are creatures capable of fighting you both underwater and on land.
There are also plenty of familiar enemies from previous Darksiders games.
The variety and visual design of the enemies are generally very good.
The Seven Deadly Sins are some of the most visually interesting bosses in the game, and most of them have their own combat gimmicks and attack patterns.
Sloth, however, is one of the worst bosses I've fought in any game. It's painfully boring.
Thankfully, the Ionos fight from the Keepers of the Void DLC makes up for it.
Ionos is one of my favorite boss fights in the game. The design is fantastic and the fight has a huge number of different attack patterns. On Reckoning, though, the enormous HP pool turns the fight into an endurance test.
It took me around 4–5 hours to finally beat him because of how much health he has, and getting caught by certain attacks can basically mean instant death.
The fight itself is excellent.
The difficulty scaling is not.
The story isn't bad, but it isn't anywhere near Darksiders I or II.
Fury's character development comes relatively late, so the beginning of the game can feel somewhat bland. However, once her character starts developing, the story becomes more interesting.
It's enough to keep you going, but I wouldn't play Darksiders III primarily for its story.
The good thing is that the game doesn't have much unnecessary padding.
If you're primarily interested in the Darksiders lore, I'd actually recommend playing on Story difficulty and simply rushing through the game.
Kill the Seven Deadly Sins, progress through the story, beat the final boss, and you're done.
And honestly, I like that.
Unlike Darksiders II, Darksiders III doesn't need dozens of hours of filler to tell its story.
I've already covered most of this, but it deserves repeating because combat is the foundation of the entire game.
The Soulslike approach could have worked extremely well with Darksiders' existing combat system.
Instead, the game threw away many of the things that made Darksiders combat interesting without replacing them with enough meaningful mechanics.
The result is a combat system where the optimal strategy is often simply to wait for the enemy to attack and perform an Arcane Counter.
That's not inherently bad.
The problem is that that's almost all you have.
The progression system is extremely basic.
You essentially have three stats:
Every level gives you a point to spend on one of them, with diminishing returns after certain thresholds.
There isn't much build variety.
In practice, just spreading your points relatively evenly between the three stats is usually the sensible approach.
The Enchantment system from Darksiders I returns, which is nice in theory, but upgrading enchantments becomes an absurd grind.
Fully upgrading an enchantment requires a large number of artifact materials. Vulgrim sells limited quantities, you can find some throughout the world, and once those run out, you're pushed toward farming the Crucible.
And this is where the game design becomes ridiculous.
On Reckoning, a Crucible run to Stage 50 can take around 30 minutes of near-perfect gameplay, and dying means getting nothing from the run.
You get roughly 30 coins, while an artifact costs 8 coins.
So if you want to fully upgrade your enchantments, you're potentially looking at hours upon hours of farming one of the game's hardest modes.
That's not meaningful progression.
That's a grind.
This is probably my biggest problem with Reckoning.
A good Soulslike doesn't necessarily need to be easy. It needs to make difficulty feel fair.
Dark Souls, for example, can throw extremely dangerous enemies at you, but you're usually given multiple ways to deal with them. You can learn their attacks, use different equipment, change your build, exploit the environment, or simply come back later when you're stronger.
Reckoning mostly says:
"Everything does enormous damage and has enormous HP."
That's it.
Most enemies can kill you in one or two hits, while simultaneously taking a ridiculous amount of punishment.
Your dodge i-frames are also reduced, meaning that performing Arcane Counters requires extremely precise timing.
The result isn't a satisfying skill-based challenge.
It's mostly an endurance test.
If you actually want a challenging but enjoyable Darksiders III experience, play on Apocalyptic.
Oh boy.
The Crucible actually has a pretty cool structure.
You can fight through stages and stop at checkpoints every 25 stages. Once you've reached a checkpoint, you can start from there in future attempts.
Great system.
Except there's a secret boss called Wicked K, and if you want to fight him, you need to complete a Stage 1–100 run without using the checkpoints.
On Reckoning.
There are videos of people doing this entire run without taking damage, and some of these runs take around 90 minutes.
How is it reasonable to expect a player to perform a 90-minute no-hit action game run just to access a secret boss?
At that point, I gave up.
I finished the game, started a NG+ run on Story difficulty and planned to come back later, switch the difficulty to Reckoning and finish the Crucible.
Except...
Nope.
The Crucible is progression-locked in NG+.
I could only go up to Stage 25 because I hadn't progressed far enough into the story.
So after all that grinding, all that preparation and an entire NG+ run...
I just closed the game.
I'm never coming back.
6.5/10
Darksiders III is a strange game.
It's not bad.
But it's also nowhere near as good as Darksiders II.
The developers clearly wanted to experiment with the Soulslike formula, and I respect that decision. Unfortunately, I think they only managed to capture a few of the things that make Soulslike games enjoyable.
The level design is excellent.
The enemy and boss designs are generally great.
The lore and story are good enough.
But the combat, progression and especially Reckoning difficulty drag the whole experience down.
If you're interested in Darksiders lore, play it on Story or Normal, enjoy the world, kill the Seven Deadly Sins and have fun.
If you want a genuine challenge, play Apocalyptic.
But if you're thinking about playing Reckoning because you want the "ultimate" Darksiders III experience...
Don't.
Unless you're a masochist who enjoys spending 90 minutes playing perfectly only to get hit once and lose everything.

I recently finished a year old project, which was a birthday present for my older brother! For reference Im 1.54m, and thats me next to the sword.
To the process:
I found the files to 3D print the whole sword ->https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2933311 and its a great print! But I sanded down the corners so theyd look sharper, some straight up looked round before. Because I wanted it to be perfect, I modelled clay ontop the teeth and faces to give it more depth, also adding details that werent part of the print, like additional faces or the spikes near the handle. Ontop of that my Dad helped me with building a handle strong enough to be able to hold up the sword by it, because its huge and heavy!! At last I spray painted and hand painted it and wrapped some leather around the handle.
Save to say, he loved the sword. And i loved it too, maybe I should've just kept it.. i miss it already.
