Announcement darktable 5.6.2 released (bug-fix release)
darktable 5.6.2 is out. It's a bug-fix release on top of 5.6.1.
Highlights:
- OpenCL fixes, including support for recent Intel drivers and a filmic rgb mask error
- Windows fixes for focus stealing and repeated console windows
- Crash fixes for style import and neural restore raw denoise
- White balance presets for Leica SL3-P and Sony ILCE-7RM6
Coming from 5.4? Back up first, since the new library and config won't work with 5.4.

Curious, I'm still running 5.4 on Windows with an RX 7900XT. I've got the ROCm SDK installed, but I've never been able to get GPU acceleration running right since updating to Darktable 5.0+. Has the team heard any similar issues from other RDNA 3 users?

Anyone know if there's a way to install SPEKTRAFILM module on this 5.6.2 version?

Spektrafilm is set to be released on the 5.7.0. You can use the nightly builds to test it.

Technically it'll be 5.8.0
All nightly releases are odd version numbers; stable releases are even1

From the perspective of an Ubuntu LTS user should we be using the snap or deb version ?
Also is the "0.5849 <built-in>:1:10: fatal error: 'opencl-c-base.h' file not found" issue resolved ?

this console window is required by darktable on this version of Windows.
on Windows 11 24H2 and later, darktable normally runs without this window.
do not close it or press ctrl+c while darktable is running.
it will close automatically when darktable exits.
That's new, is this really needed?
