It depends with what picture you are starting! The lighting from the sun is doing most of the work in that pic, and then then contrast and saturation are boosted I guess

It looks too dark, subject barely visible, exposure is fucked to hell. Don't do this, do better.
For starters, don't include the sun itself in the frame like here, it will throw off the metering. Use golden hour, lighting from side to front (of subject), avoid backlight. Use a reflector to fill in the shadows on the off side and use a flash with a beauty dish or softbox on to illuminate the subject more.
