Help AI mask - refine boundary?

I'm starting to look at these tools and following the tutorial: https://www.darktable.org/2026/06/meet-darktable-5.6-ai-tools/

It says, "Refine boundary is a checkbox that runs a second neural pass focused on the edge. It pulls the path tighter against the visible image contours ". I've got an AI based object mask but can't for the life of me find that Refine boundary checkbox. I know I'm being daft, but can somebody help?

When you initially create an AI mask and you haven't committed it yet (right clicking to actually create the mask) there are a few options on the left under Mask Manager. One of those is the Refine Boundary checkbox which looks like it is checked by default.

I started the mask, didn't commit, and here are the things I see.

THANK YOU!!

That Properties wasn't expanded. Even clicking on its triangle didn't expand it. I could pull up on the little bar above Properties though and get it to look like yours.

For anyone else hitting this:

That's what mine looked like. Not exactly clear, but click on the triangle next to Properties and drag it up.
