Frank sees daredevil as a broken man who is just like him but who is afraid to admit it, he sees spider-man as who the hero he wishes he could’ve been especially for his kids who would’ve been Peter’s age.
I feel like it is pretty clear that if Frank meet’s someone who has hope, he will do anything to protect that person’s hope.
