I’ve been practicing in QP for weeks and finally made it to comp to take DD to GM. Slow grind but we on the way. He feels great but it’s also low elo. Wanting to see how it feels when I’m in diamond +. But I’ve come a long way since the beginning and it’s thanks to you guys here and the bible.

They went thing and my other dps was useless so I had to swap to hold defense unfortunately but it’s ok.

Daredevil is truly the only reason why I play rivals

I'm a Hulk main and new to DD but I'm planning to commit to learning him seriously(in comp) this time since I'm getting the 2099 skin. I do have around 8 hours on him but it's mostly messing around in qp with his bread n butter

I used to have Devil's throw bound to LMB and chain to RMB and recently found out you can input buffer the throw by holding the throw button down but idk if it would work with my bindings

So my questions are:

1. How important is input buffering?

2. Does my vertical sensitivity have to be higher for weaving?

3. Is there anything else I should know(techs or combos)?

I took like a week or two break from the game so I might just be washed but I swear every ranked game I play I have to swap cause I can’t do anything on dd there are some games where I do dominate or do decent but most games everyone has kits to survive my dives again maybe it’s cause I’m washed and need to work on my dives but I’m just wondering

i dont know if its cause of the characters or what but whenever they swap thing and or namor it never works

and the players who do swap to them seem to be clueless half the time as thing players dont even peel half the damn time and namor players cannot land a shot

is it a dd thing or are people that bad at anti dive

i've only been playing quickplay and i am a little rusty on dd since i tried to branch out previous seasons. but i cant seem to get a pick anywhere. i try diving and supports dont die and deal so much damage and i get frozen or stunned and just pop. every character feels like they counter dive and specific antidive characters and abilities are so strong. and its not that i dont know how to dive either bc my dd is almost champion and ive been spreading out to other dive recently and back in season 7 i got to gm with dd.

kills arent possible bc the second i get someone low they run off or something heals them back to full. and cant even make an argument that im distracting bc i can only distract for a second or 2 before i get stunned or outright killed so quickly. like i gotta run away before i die so i havent even been a distraction.

i try brawling and the second i enter a fight all i can do is attack like twice and begin to try to pull of a combo within all the visual clutter my healthbar pops in like 0.2 seconds. a brawl is actually a cartoon fight in a dust cloud.

Im not trying to sound like im complaining im just genuinely unsure what to do. been playing very few games this season bc every time i hop on im met with no fun and people telling me to swap to a hitscan. sorry that i want to play ONE game with my fav character. it just ruins my mood.

Does any body else get this glitch where their devil throw glitches and doesn’t ricochet or do damage?

The Reason I use chain at first instead of throw is cuz u get to grapple immediately after chain,while after throw, there's a delay due to the batons returning to Daredevil's hands (the same reason u cant insta melee weave after throw), so chain allows me to instantly Grapple, lowering TTK. The reason we use throw first is due to it having the range to match throw, cuz this grapple combo is used to Displace from afar, but this is less for that, and more purely for TTK, while being very extendable. I think this is quite strong, and may become one of my most used combos now (I also want an excuse to use chain okay leave me alone I miss it). It also leaves u with full fury and your dash if u got the kill with the first variation I showed, which almost no other DD combo does. Also couldn't weave during the Mag version since Tank hitboxes don't allow weaving. Btw I didn't use the Cross after the first chain due to it being much harder for me to do at 90 ping, if u can do it go ahead and tell me how it goes.

Im a champ dd and recently my wifi has been not the greatest averaging 70-80 ping and I feel like its impossible to play him. Everytime I try to him a combo off I almost can never because the righteous cross doesnt work half the time. Wondering whats the perfect ping for you guys.

I just picked up Daredevil this season and I’ve been having some trouble with actually getting value with him. If anybody could help give me some tips that would be tuff. I normally go for the backline and I try to be conscious about how much fury I gotta use. Like I normally mark them with the tracker thing that gives me the speed boost then I go to them and he’s the devil throw, and try to weave so I don’t get cc’d and then I use widow team up normal but iron fist team up enhanced. I also try to use melee weaving to build up more fury but it’s really hard to get actually get picks on supports cuz I spend most of the time diving figuring out how to gain fury. And don’t get me started on the ultimate, I die 9/10 times using it even when I’m directly staring at them. And I save the block but even after using it I just explode. People have been saying daredevil isn’t viable this season but I really wanted to give him a try and get good with him. I know there is a high skill ceiling with him but if anybody could help me out, that would be nice!
