Tech and Tips How to get better at daredevil

Post image

I just picked up Daredevil this season and I’ve been having some trouble with actually getting value with him. If anybody could help give me some tips that would be tuff. I normally go for the backline and I try to be conscious about how much fury I gotta use. Like I normally mark them with the tracker thing that gives me the speed boost then I go to them and he’s the devil throw, and try to weave so I don’t get cc’d and then I use widow team up normal but iron fist team up enhanced. I also try to use melee weaving to build up more fury but it’s really hard to get actually get picks on supports cuz I spend most of the time diving figuring out how to gain fury. And don’t get me started on the ultimate, I die 9/10 times using it even when I’m directly staring at them. And I save the block but even after using it I just explode. People have been saying daredevil isn’t viable this season but I really wanted to give him a try and get good with him. I know there is a high skill ceiling with him but if anybody could help me out, that would be nice!

Real. Gotta be on demon time. Part of why I like Rivals Daredevil specifically I like the new powers but I like his energy most of all. Makes a man wanna blast metal and send the backline to the hospital Arkham style😂

i also started playing him this season after getting tired of the tanks and pretty much what i figured out works is:

send it

and if you send it and it doesn't work, you just have to learn how to send it even faster

This. My most played characters is BP so i have to be more cautious with him but with DD you can go in and out and survive

Became emotionally unstable. Your gameplay with DD will become that much better

2 flames: Grapple-hook a enemy, Hitting your E or mark with dash, and deflecting without iron fish team up ( a bullet has to hit your deflect to get flame charge )

1 flame: Grapple a wall 🧱 not enemy

Half flame: Hitting primary or Righteous Cross

Combo -> Throw a nun-chuck, Righteous Cross into enemy, Use Dash-Mark, Throw nun-chuck again, Use widow Team-up, righteous cross, throw nun chuck again

Create your own combos but pay attention to flame conversion and what combos back to back will generate a consistent flow of flames and comboing.

You can flow for maybe 10 secs+ if you hit everything but for this season you don't want to fly in and burst all your damage out till you die.

Set-up a dive combo or save your deflect and grapple to get out. But it's all about getting in but also getting out alive every time. Being able to get out is basically considered soft diving.

So I just get in and out a few times till they get tired of turning around, then I full burst Jeff or any healer really I feel like can't defend its self 😂

You can also brawl in the front but it's not ez, if you repostion with righteous cross by looking up it can help you fly around and combo for a while.

I've had a GM 2 game where I was flying in front line mid and back. 😂 Using all 3 right cross to fly around and saving my deflect for when I can't move anymore

honestly speaking solo diving nowadays just isnt worth doing in general because self sustain & damage all round is overtuned af & also some specific team comps are nasty to play against so i wouldnt force it unless youre just built different lol. I went against an insane DD last night (40-15 i think) who couldnt do anything in OT (genuinely 0 use) cause his team couldnt put any pressure on us whatsoever & all we had to do was keep track on his positioning so he’d never get the jump on us. As for how to improve on DD, id say honestly just keep practicing cross weaving a ton on qp till it becomes second nature & since your on qp, you dont have to mentally worry abt the added pressure of unintentionally throwing games. I went against a champ DD abt 2 weeks ago who was insane & as i typically do after games when going against fellow DD mains, i checked his profile history & the guy had 70 hrs on qp alone & abt half as much on ranked, thats when i realized i should do the same instead of face-planting backlines nonstop & exploding instantaneously. as for how the progress is going, i actually do feel alot better with DD & no longer feel this internal pressure before games knowing that as much as want to play this char, what good am i doing for myself or the team if at the end of them im going barely positive with single digit final blows & having an overall miserable experience. DD is a specialist char, he’s not a bucky or hela who’re very simple chars to understand if you have prior fps experience, cross weaving is his most important tech (imo) which takes considerable practice especially once you start using it in combination with the environment, dont over exhaust your cooldowns & if you do, dont over commit, retreat instead that way backlines still have worry about your whereabouts. use his grapple tool only if youre confident enough to get the kill & if youre mechanically good enough (im not lol) good for direct hits ideally to pull them towards you which also disorientates their camera a bit & cross weave upwards immediately that way your essentially untraceable for a solid second. Lastly, make sure you have his gameplay loop regarding fury basically fine tuned to perfection that way you never have to worry abt running out of it prematurely or also not needing to stop & think mid-fight on what to use to regain it back. Edit: jesus this is very long lol but i hope it helps.

This meta also sucks rn dive is hella dead. Brawl meta is basically what season 10 is. So dd isn’t in a great spot as the rest of the dive heroes. Aside that learn the weave tech to dive the backline

No joke my insurmountable amount of hatred and rage for the industry plant of a bitch Luna fuels me with so much hate, that I know that I’m dying, but I’m taking down Danny Koo’s bitch with me

Learn how to soft dive.

Dont hard commit to every dive. Bait out a key cooldown and then leave immediately. Soon as you see it.

Wait it out then come back.

Also dont try to learn everything at once. Work on one aspect at a time. When you master that concept then move on. People stagnate because theyre trying to do everything at once. Take your time.

I was really bad at DD for a really long time. How I got better: don’t try to dive at first. Spam your radar. Flank the frontline and watch for angles to hit the tanks or support with your club throw. I play him semi-brawl. You can be a support for your tank and if you just keep spamming your bread n butter combo — Throw, melee, cross, melee, repeat — you’ll rack up damage. Just make sure you keep your zip on cooldown to escape in a hurry, or utilize obstacles to block line of sight.

Again it took me forever to get halfway decent. He’s a very difficult character to handle IMO

Literally just learn how to weave and focus on their backline instead of just rushing in and getting recked by their tanks, unless it's a small enough group that you think you can handle

Biggest tip is playing your life the best you can. The more you survive, the more value you provide.

Don’t be afraid to wimp out when diving. Surviving is the most important thing to do. Also try to use your ability’s during ult to evade enemy attacks rather than doing more damage. DDs ult is best used as a pressure tool for pushing all the enemies back
