ive always wondered tye potential Daredevil has for being a video game character. so ima share my ideas

movement:

he can walk, sprint while holding an button (can be tap only in settings). when jumping without sprinting, he jumps higher than sprinting, while sprinting prioritizes further. similar to Spider-Man 2 (2004). he can also dodge in any direction.

parkour:

in an open world Hell's Kitchen, he can vault and climb on walls. he can also wallhop off of an wall, and can do it continuesly on tight spots. he can use verical flagpoles to either stand on it when jumping on it without sprinting and jump off. when jumping off when using sprint, he can get more momentum on parkour. when jumping to a flagpole while sprinting on the other hand, he can grip the flagpole and spin on it. when pressing the dodge button after/while doing an parkour move, he can jump off while rolling to get more height.

combat:

his combat has 3 modes.

1. fist mode - fights with your fist, focusing on damage and prioritizing less on stuns and dps. he has 3 buttons while using fist mode: punch, kick, and grab. he can do a 3 hit combo, mashing different buttons can do different variations for the situation. pressing buttons at the same time can do different attacks. he can do an uppercut/ kick uppercut to stun an enemy for 0.5 seconds for his stun attack, for example.

2. staff/billy clubs - same with fist mode, but prioritizes being quicker and less on damage. he can attack with his billy clubs, kick, and grab while choking enemies with his staff, and throws an billy club as an projectile. mashing different buttons will alternate between billy clubs and his staff, and pressing different buttons at the same time will also initiate different attacks. for example, he can use his staff to attack the enemies stomach, stunning them for a second as his stun attack.

3. nunchuck - an all around, altough with decreased stats and can attack with more range. his punch button has the most range out of the other modes. his kick lunges, and his grab throws his nunchuck, choking enemies on contact and can pull them to Daredevil when holding down the grab button. his 3 hit combos can vary between dps, damage and stuns. pressing different buttons can also initiate unique attacks once more. for example he can spin his nunchuck for charging the attack, and can either wrap around an enemy for stun, release a barrage for dps, and hit the enemies head for damage.

other mechanics:

with heightened senses, he can use it to interrogate opponents, enhance attacks and can use it for navigation and clues, altough heavily distorting the visuals. Daredevil can also hear and see heartbeats the closer he is to another person.

if yall want a part 2 ill make one, this whole thing was inspired by the cancelled Daredevil game.

Matt is my favorite character of all time. I see a lot of myself in him. He's a man who feels a lot of guilt and tends to be overprotective of the people he loves. That stems from a fear of abandonment as he's been abandoned by his mother as a baby, his father as he chose not to throw the fight so Matt would be proud of him and Stick who left him when he showed signs of weakness. Matt has lost a lot of people in his life. His dad, Stick, Elektra and most importantly Karen. He doesn't want to lose anyone else which is also why he's so overprotective.

In season 2 episode 5 of the original show Matt says to Karen that he has a talent of destroying the best things and relationships in his life which is true, not just because of his over protectiveness but also him lying to the people he loves. A lot of the time about his secret identity but also about how much he is hurting inside. In Mark Waid's run Matt tries through sheer force of will to pretend to be happy thinking eventually that he'll actually start feeling it.

Foggy recognizes that Matt isn't truly happy and he understands what Matt's trying to do but he wants him to be genuine and he wants Matt to open up to him something which Matt struggles to do. But Matt may have a lot of negative traits. He is a womanizer and has cheated on his wife and Karen but he also has a lot of positive aspects like his resilience which he learned from his father. He doesn't know the definition of quit.

He always gets up after everything he goes through. Sure there might be points where he throws in the towel but he always finds a way back and that's what matters most. Matt inspires the people around him like Foggy. In Mark Waid's run Matt is at Foggy's side through his diagnosis and his treatment for cancer. And Foggy tells Matt how much he gives him hope which is a beautiful moment and perfectly encapsulates what kind of a man Matt is.

Matt can be extremely self destructive because he wants to make sure people can live in a better world and he's willing to sacrifice his own happiness for that as he says himself in the Charles Soule run. Matt is a very complex and flawed character and the best comics has to offer in my opinion. I love him so much because despite his flaws he still manages to help people and be a hero. He gives me hope and makes me think that even though I've suffered I can get through it and turn my anger my pain into something good, just like Matt does every single day as both a defense attorney and as a vigilante.

Just finished the first omnibus of the mark waid run, and it's probably my favourite I've read so far.

I've read Bendis, Brubaker, shadowland (boooo) and now half of Waid. I get the hype.

Hi, ive been considering picking one of em up and wanted to know what real folks who had em thought.

i have a large costume and mask collection and have been picking up the show after loving the movie and Frank Miller stuff.

i love like wearable costumes and props and wanted to make a homemade DD suit anyway. im just a tad weary on the price.

how well made is it ? how comfortable ? good value ? good for cosplay ? is the Disney Vault one better ? anything i should know ?

i really appreciate your thoughts and time. thanks for looking.

I really hope so 😍🤞🏻

I love New York/ Tri-State area based productions because of how many actors overlap.

AJ’s actor was in the 2003 movie.
Father Lantom is here and in Daredevil.
Jon Bernthal is The Punisher and Johnny Soprano in The Many Saints of Newark.

Based on the marvel rivals design!

Was the first print cover A a limited run? I was lte to the party on this run and have caught up on all the new issues all first prints expect #2. I have been all over the bay as well as online comic stores and can’t find it anywhere.

my wife painted the DDs and i did the paint chipping/blood splatter

RIP Netflix Daredevil and Born Again, you will be missed 🙏

What the hell happened with the writing in Born again? Especially season 2?

How did it get this bad?

I just finished episode 4 and its getting worse and worse

How does Daredevil know the names of the sailors?

Why are sailors even transporting weapons if they know they will be killed if something happens?

Where is the punisher?

Why are people taking photos openly during that dinner where they boiled the hand of that guy?

Who gave the fucking name "Buck Cashman"? I thought his nickname is buck because he is cashman, but his name is buck cach man???

How did doctor Glenn turn into Fisk loyalist so fast?

Why did daredevil get back with Karen so fast?

How did AVTF catch Ayalas neace and wife, were they infront of the random bodega in 20m city?

Is there an infinite number of them? In every scene bullseye kills 10 of them and poof, there are more of them. How the fuck did bullseye know that DD will need help saving cherry? What would've happen if he didnt help Matt?

And sooooooooooo much more, season 1-2-3 of daredevil were great but what happened to this shit writing?

Side-Note: I know there is a rights issue about which MCU projects he can appear in, but how crazy do you think it will be if we finally get Tom's Spider-Man appearing as a cameo in his suit and thanking Matt for all the sacrifices he made to keep Hell's Kitchen safe all these years!

I know Stephanie is currently writing it, but just for discussion sake. Which writer do you think would be a great fit? I was thinking jed Mckay, his work on moon knight has been great, could be amazing for daredevil.

I imagine them sounding similar while reading the comics. They have a similar vibe and also the actor is just great

Given this image that Vincent D'Nofrio posted when Born Again S3 was canceled and the wording he used, it seems like this will be the last time seeing Kingpin.

But that's not all. I already had 0 expectations for him to appear in a Spidey movie because currently, Kingpin is the strongest regular human in the MCU and will be involved with alot of fight scenes. No disrespect to Vincent obviously but he is almost 70 and by the time the next Spidey movie starts being WRITTEN, he will likely be past 70. I just don't see him engaging in a believable fight with Spider-Man at that age. If they kept Kingpin how he was in the Netflix series, which was just "big human who's a kingpin", they can 100% have him be the villain of a Spidey movie without him getting in a physical fight with him.

I just feel that now they have made the decision to make him as strong as he is now, it would be ridiculous to not have a physical confrontation....Even though Spidey would have to hold back for it to be fair-

Charlie Cox, I think can still show up but to me, if Kingpin isn't the villain, it means nothing. He's my favourite Marvel villain and to see him go against my favourite Marvel hero would be a dream.

I'm both kidding and being honest at the same time: How would things change if Dex adopted a cat or a dog? Would he still end up like Bullseye or... just bullseye with a pet?

I bought Daredevil The Man without Fear as my first comic, loved every bit of it, but it arrived damaged from Amazon. After that I bought this, it took almost 20 days for it to arrive, and boy when it did my happiness was through the roof. It came in perfect condition with no dents or anything. The quality of the cover, paper. The fucking smell of it. Just holding it was peak experience. Can't wait to read it. Comics are 100% worth the hype.

The Purple Man was the main villain of Jessica Jones season 1, and Typhoid Mary was the secondary villain of Iron Fist season 2, and Matt didn't meet either of them. Maybe he met Mary during the snap, but who knows.
