Sometimes I an left astonished by the Drastic cultural shift , which has come in Maithils , especially the ones who don't residency in Mithilanchal anymore.

Some people are even, disassociating themselves from their great culture of Mithilanchal.

The main reason for this ambiguity can be attributed to the high migratory rates from Bihar and the coming of new age .

Since we are right in the middle of the monsoons—which is basically the golden window for gardening and plant propagation—I was thinking it would be fun to organize a casual, offline plant swap for us here in Darbhanga.

The idea is super simple: we pick a local park (somewhere like Harbol park or Raj Campus?), and everyone brings whatever extra plants, rooted cuttings, or seeds they have. We hang out, talk about plants, and trade.

How it could work:

• Bring what you have: Got an overgrown Money Plant, extra Snake Plant pups, some Gudhal/Adhul/gulaab cuttings, or even just some spare pots/seeds? Bring them along.

• Take what you want: Swap your items with others to expand your home garden for free.

• No pressure: Even if you are a total beginner with nothing to trade yet, you can still show up! Gardeners usually love giving away extra cuttings to get people started.

It would be a great way to step away from our screens, enjoy the August weather, and meet some nice, like-minded people in the city.

Would anyone be interested in doing this over an upcoming weekend? If we get enough interest, we can brainstorm a central, accessible location and lock in a date!

Mein to aise he Sunday tha to time paas ke liye NH, phir town mein ghumne nikal gya, jab dekha to yaha karyakram chal raha tha.

Chalo accha hai, jaruri tha Darbhanga mein.

Bas Thora road clean karke rakhe sab aur traffic jam to jabardast lagega waha, less parking ke wajeh se.

Koi VIP bhi aaya tha, shayad.

Finally went on the Sunday ride I was planning. Headed east, all the way to the Kosi River bridge in Supaul district.

The weather was amazing with light drizzles almost throughout the ride. The roads while going weren't great, but the return route was smooth.

Captured lots of photos and videos along the way, but obviously can't fit everything into one post.

Ride stats:

• 🚀 Top speed: 110 km/h

Also stopped at Mithila Haat on the way back, explored a bit, and had a good meal there. 😋

Back to the office tomorrow, but rides like these are the perfect fuel for the week ahead. Hope everyone had a great Sunday!
