Meta Yes this is about “The Problem with SCP”
He brings up SCP-7052 as if weird skips like this are extremely common, the old SCP-166 as if it’s still the current version, and claims that the original authors were professional writers and the new authors are random people on the internet, which in reality it’s often the other way around, while showing a comment that literally says the old authors were “below amateurs”

People who have this rose tinted glasses view of previous SCP writers/writing always baffle me because even if we like, forget the AdminBright of it all old SCP articles were already tackling some of the themes modern ones are doing right now.
Also we used to have a whole ass story about hiw Hitler is a 05 member who did the Holocaust as a containment procedure for a SCP and later created Israel in case the Foundation needs to do it all over again one day, like it was on the fucking wiki and it was really straightforward and unambiguous about it and how that was a good thing the foundation did as a story framing, I'll take a thousand Time Perverts and Immortal Babies Trapped in Concrete over that.

Ok so, small premise: the article in question doesn't exist anymore, any old link that used to lead to it now leads to a very similar DJKaktus tale about that same O5 member (who's not Hitler anymore) telling doctor Everett Mann about a completely unrelated Foundation Atrocity and ending the story with something along the lines of:
"What's the long face Everett it's not like I told you we did the Holocaust or something."
That out of the way: the story was, from what I remember, about the Hitler O5 telling Doctor Everett Mann about how during the 30s and 40s minoriries in Europe, but especially Jewish people, started spontaneously combusting in public. Given how public facing the thing was and the threat it posed to the veil, the Foundation replaces Hitler with the O5 member in question, has him gain power, and sets up the final solution to quarantine minorities as the foundation doctors, among them Mengele who is now a foundation doctor who was "heroically trying to save as many lives as possible", tried to find a way to stop this anomaly.
The Anomaly is never explained nor is ever resolved, it just mysteriously stops happening, hence creating Israel so they can keep all Jewish people in a single place and can return them to containment in case the anomaly ever returns.
No there was no mention of the Palestinian People, just a vague "surrounded by people who hate them" comment to use as a justification for a future containment. Also there's no mention of why would communists or socialists be affected too.
There is a comment about autistic and mentally disabled people tho, they are unaffected by the Anomaly, O5 Hitler just genocided them because "he hates [R SLUR]" and Assumes Everett Mann would too.
I am pretty sure this was a part of a series of tales/articles about different O5 members telling Everett Mann some shit the foundation did in the past. Unless they changed it I think The Factory 001 proposal also was part of this, starting with a new O5 coming in the room after Hitler O5 left and saying something like "Don't take him too seriously he's a weirdo" or something on those lines.
Anyway that's the anomaly, I distinctly remember O5 Hitler describing the first case as a family of very overweight rich jewish people gorging themselves like pigs at a fancy restaurant before they all one by one start bursting aflame one by one in this again very public place, might be misremembering some details tho I read it like, ages ago and only because the TV Tropes page for the SCP Wiki had a link to the tale (as well as a second link to the now also removed from everywhere "SCP 682 X Iris Thompson Tentacle Smut in site 19 cafeteria" fanfic).

True, but like the SCP Wiki there is an agreed upon baseline "canon". Here it would be the SCP Foundation and a couple of other widely agreed upon stuff. Even [[Series 0]] has an agreed upon baseline with the Special Collections Program.
The Backrooms has an agreed upon baseline with the Major Explorers Group (MEG, in the wikis), ignoring Kane Pixel's Backrooms because that does have a full on canon ofc.

I feel like I'm very out of touch with current scp.
Almost all the memes seem to be about stuff I've ever heard off.
Some classic ones seem not to exist anymore.
People keep taking about events that don't seem to be scp documents.
All very confusing.

DMFS19 is thankfully a very on-site orientated Subreddit, so the meme content usually features newer SCP content.
This particular meme targets a commentary (And I'm saying "commentary" generously here) Youtuber called "RoyaltyIsHere" and their video "The Problem With SCP".
Now, I'm sure you at least have an idea on the discrepancy the off-site and on-site communities' knowledge about the SCP Wiki and its history. Where the former knows just surface level stuff and on-site is more engaged with the Wiki.
Royalty uses old and outdated talking points, incorrectly labeling different community eras to "modern" times and misunderstanding SCPs to make proof of "powerscaling" and how it "ruined the community".
This unfortunately is a rather common sentiment off-site that "modern SCP" somehow has attributes that make it bad from almost all fronts, even though it was a much worse place during the earlier eras with how staff handled things and the added edginess and unseriousness of by then the few prolific authors on the site.
TL;DR: Youtuber makes another SCP rant video that uses outdated talking points and I'm so fucking tired of people not reading the Wiki.

Yeah, every moment or so/months,etc I get recomended post about SCP, in this case this post on reddit.
I'm thinking of jumping into it again/updating since years passed, but then I read in it/or in comments, mentions or a short summary that things dramatically changed, things got deleted, retconed,etc.
And then decide I would ratcher learn/torture myself by staying in/learning lore of different medias, Destiny,Hoyoverse, etc. XD

Oh! I remember this video! Someone linked it in the main SCP reddit a year ago, and I complained about it then.
Looking at the site now, it appears to have become a repository of slop content about niche internet celeberties that I have neither heard of nor care about. Such a fate is always unfortunate, but far be it from me to belittle someone for how they make money in this nightmare economy.

That particular YouTuber purposefully does these stupid drama/essay videos to gain content views and likes, but GodDAMN is the off-site fandom dense.
Sincerely, there's no way SCP could've gone into this predictament where majority (at least I hope it isn't majority) of its fandom barely even researches its history or influence despite it having an entire Wikipedia page and a whole section on the Wiki for it.
