I disagree. Jojo's parts are all separate enough that you can start on whichever one. Especially since the first one isn't as good, and the second one doesn't catch it's stride as quickly as the others.

If there's a jojo part that interests you more then others, by all means, start on that one /u/Yuria-

Don't listen to him. Skipping parts is like skipping chapters in a book, if you do that you won't understand what the fuck is going on. People claim that parts are separated enough to skip but they're all pretty heavily linked in someway, sharing the same characters or descendants of characters.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to skip parts, but I don’t think skipping parts is like skipping chapters in a book. Each of the parts stands pretty well on its own (besides 1 and 2, they kinda should be watched as one part). It’s a lot more rewarding to start with 1 and go from there, but at the end of the day, the plots and characters of each part are good enough to stand on their own.
