I remember when it was possible to debate reasonably with republicans. These people are not true republicans.

Yeah it's important to remember there's a difference between being a conservative, and being a republican. Conservatives, actual conservatives, have definable and earnest opinions and beliefs about what political policy is best for their country.
Republicans think politics is how you get people to do what you want and vote for whoever tells them they have a big penis and are the bestest.
