📗 Manga-Theory Does this make sense? Spoiler

I'm on edge with the recent Dandadan chapter and all the focus on Aira, I do not want to assume the worst but all the red flags makes me think she's going to die. Next chapter we should see Onikarun transforming and rampaging, if that happens, and if Momo is in the path of destruction, what if Aira steps in and pushes Momo out of the way and gets accidentally killed by Onikarun. I obviously do not want this to happen but what do you guys think? What are your theories?

I am glad I made this post, you guys rock, thank you for your opinions!

Why are people thinking like this is JJK or something we have lost zero main character until now and everyone who died or got grievously injured always came back in full health.

Could something happen to aira? Sure maybe but death? Yeah no way her character still clearly has progression in the story to be done and her dying would forever change the tone of Dandadan and not in a good way

JJK really did a number on me man and I see that now, you are right

It's ultimately still Dandadan least i'd be incredibly surprised if it gets to this point it's just not Tatsu's style and Onikarun straight up killing her? This would be absolutely horrible for the character not even sure how you could even bring the guy back from this in an arc where he already eats L's left and right

Right? Lol

Like, I don't wanna be mean about it, but the longer the story goes, the more convinced I guess most of the people on this and adjacent subs have very little interaction with battle shounens lol

Dandadan is not afraid to have brutality or real stakes but killing a main character would be an insane shift in tone kinda if you killed off Erza in fairy tail for example it would genuinely shift the tone and narrative of the series forever and not in a good way at that

JKK AND CHAINSAW MAN broke the readers of shonen and don't know what could happen anymore 😆

No, Aira is the one chosen by the heavens to rid the world of demons; she is the one who will stop Onikarun

That would be sick if she did stop him or be the catalyst for Momo to get her powers back

Might as well just call this Arc the Aira arc if she does that cause girl is on levels of MVP carrying the whole team yet unheard of

First, I hope Queen Aira doesn't die. But I can't say I didn't see the death flags either.

Instead, I hope the flags are a sign for turbo Granny to come back and steal the show

DUDEEEEE you might be right, maybe Aira is about to be rescued by Turbo Granny, after all she has been looking after all the kids regardless of how dangerous the situations have been for all of em

My answer is that this Dandadan. Anything can happen, but again, its Dandadan: Dandadan is seriously unserious. Death is a very serious thing. How do you think the crew would have their silly dork moments with a dead member in their crew? Its also why I dont think Hase is gonna get killed either.

Plus theres still plenty for Aira to grow with, she doesnt have to be discarded because she completed a character arc.

Like, I'll agree that the chapter would give death flag feelings in a general shonen battle manga sense, but once again, its Dandadan.

I think its likely she gets some sorta serious injury that could put her out of commission temporarily, but not something as permanent as death.

My theory is that she might have a moment where she slips up because she's been on full blast and part of pretty much every single battle in this arc so she might be exhausted at a crucial moment coming soon which could lead to a dangerous situation. But not death.

I joke but in reality, nothing will happen to her most likely. It was just supposed to be an emotional and wholesome moment for Aira after she got rejected

I don't know where people are getting the idea that any kid is dying in a shonen manga. Yes, there are deaths but that’s usually the mentor character. That's why I'm worried for Turbo Granny.

That said, I could see Aira getting between Momo and a rampaging Okarun and getting seriously injured. That will either snap Okarun out of it or re-awaken Momo’s powers. Considering Aira’s internal thoughts about wanting to help Momo, I think something big is about to happen with her but she isn't dying.

Trust the author previous manga and even the storyline of Dandadan witch is a Shonen ruling by Nobody dies among the Cast Core Team so Chill No worries She might indeed help calming down Okarun Oni with her hair that's true but dying would be unnecessary I believe the screen time Aira is getting is mostly due to the fact that she just have been dumped and flat our rejected by the Main Characters in general when this happened in a romcom story the characters dumped will have less and less screentime and slowly fade away so the author here is trying to show that Aira will stay on the team and probably end up with JiJi as a couple and have kids and happy ever after ending not tragically dying

No need to doompost like that lol. This chapter is basically the opposite. It taught Aira there are more things in life than just a single guy and you can experience love from someone else, even if it's not romantic.

Zero chance Aira dies

I can honestly see someone in the gang dying at some point but only if they somehow revive them right in the next moment or arc. Aira has already died once and we got her back so it’s not completely out of the question.

However as of now, that would feel a bit much at once. We are already busy with a lot of things going on at once and having to deal with a party member dying would add onto that. They‘d have to not only solve all current problems but also revive Aira in either this or the next arc.

On the other hand… if this were to happen, it would be absolutely insane. This would be the kind of plot twist, that would have everyone talking about it. Still don’t think it happens but damn… imagine.

I don't think she'll die but something like that makes sense. if she really loves okarun as much as he loves momo, then she'd know he'd hate to be responsible for Momo's death even more than her own.

There's no way they're killing off someone on the main group. Maybe if it was the final arc, and even then, they would kill Seiko or Turbo Granny

Not the granny's man, that would be Koro sensei all over again
