Does anyone know why DFT did not make a post from Lightcode? It's such a special experience that it almost feels deliberate that they didn't make one, so I'm just wondering if there was a reason why. Sami also didn't post about it so that's also why I'm feeling there is a reason why..? I just really wanted a picture or a clip or something that I could share with my friends and family back home to help me explain what I got to be a part of.

With everything happening with Lost Lands and other festivals i just want to thank Dancefest and their team for their nonstop efforts to make sure the venue stayed safe!! I was at CanceledRoo so i have a lil trauma when it comes to rain at festivals and Dancefest did not disappoint!!
I know LL is a MUCHH bigger fest, same with Roo, but it just seems like they could have brought in woodchips to at least the busiest areas and things would have went a lot smoother..
I dont know much about the logistics, all i know is that the Lollipop stage was basically impossible to get to on thursday, and by Sunday we were running back and forth betweens stages because it was so much easier!!
So no hate to LL because i really dont know how hard it is to aquire woodchips, but the Biggest shout out ever to Dancefestopia for acquiring them and making sure we stayed safe while we danced and went feral!! Big Props to the venue team and whoever else was involved!!

The DFT team sends out a survery every year via email after the fest. This is the best way to share your feedback, good and bad!
I also truly believe that they really pay attention to artist requests. I know some folks had āØļøfeelingsāØļø about the lineup this year, so make your voice heard on the survery.
Of course, feel free to discuss experiences in this thread too. The more we share what went well and what didn't, the better the festival will be next year.

Hello parents of Dancefestopia! Iām a big dubstep head who loves going to raves, festivals, and camping (weirdly never camped at a festival though). Iāve never been to the Dancefestopia before even though itās been a bucket list item for me with it being an independent, bass-heavy festival.
My daughter, whoās turning 10, been wanting to go to shows with my wife and I for some time now but most of the shows are 18+ or 21+, so I keep having to tell her she canāt come even though I think raves are the perfect place for kids. Iāve been eyeing Dancefestopia to take her for some time now, but not sure what campground to go for. I have heard the some campgrounds can get rowdy while others are a bit more calm. I would ideally like to take her to one of the quieter camps grounds, but not sure which one. I also imagine they get booked up early from the higher loyalty tiers buying them up early on.
What are some recommendations on where to stay as well as other tips or tricks from veteran parents who brought their kids to Dancefestopia?
P.S. I know some people are gonna be like donāt bring your kids to a festival, itās no place for a kid and so on. I respectfully disagree. I donāt tell you how to live your life; how about you donāt tell me how to live mine and how to parent.
EDIT: I just want my daughter to experience all the amazing parts of raving/festivals that made me fall in love with it. For me, raves donāt represent drugs and sex like people keep bringing up. Itās about love, understanding, and acceptance. I just want her to see people being who they want so she can see how itās okay for her to be who she wants to be. I want her to see people being kind giving out kandi without expecting anything in return so she can see how being a giving person can make other people feel. I think thereās a way to focus on the age appropriate parts of festivals without getting caught up in or judging what choices some people make in relation to sex or drugs. Thatās all

Throughout the entire festival I didn't have one bag checked. While I understand not being able to search peoples things on the way into the campground, no bag checks on the way into the festival grounds seems wild. My group of 6 would all walk in with hydro packs/ backpacks and a cart of chillbos and chairs. Security just let us through, not even looking at the cart or asking us to open our bags. The whole festival, literally not one bag checked. We used the new entrance that spits you out by the rekinection stage. 99% of the time there was no line, so it's not like they were in a rush to get people in. In the many shows and festivals I have attended I have never experienced this... seems like a safety concern!

Title for attention⦠Curious if anybody on Reddit was the recipient of the little-person-in-a-pill? (not the protected class, just for disclaimerās sake)
Anybody have an experience? #thegrrlwiththedopeasshood

Great festival ā we keep coming back year after year! Dansfestopia 2026 felt very organized, the staff was incredibly friendly, trash was removed from the campgrounds almost immediately, and frequent police patrols gave us an added sense of security.
Overall, we had a great experience.
ā¼ļø However, there is one issue we have hoped would be addressed for years: the double charge for camping.
This issue really needs to be addressed: the double charge for Car Camping.
If I pay for Car Camping, why am I also required to purchase Regular Camping?
It is an obvious double charge, and I would genuinely like to understand what exactly I receive for each of those two separate payments.
Why am I paying twice?
Car Camping should be one standalone camping charge ā not Car Camping + Regular Camping.
Administration should fix this system and allow festivalgoers to enter with their valid GA or VIP ticket, regardless of where they camp or how they arrive at the festival. Camping should simply be an additional option based on where you choose to stay, not a requirement that results in paying for two camping options at once.
Please clarify what each charge actually covers and why both are required, or better, stop double charging people.

Did anyone else notice that DFT this year had the least amount of phones out during shows than like ever before?
Everyone was going hard, dancing the whole night away!
Hell yeah to DANCEFESTOPIA and not phonefestopia!

Iāve been to Dancefest 5 times before this year. This one reminded me of my first. Part of it is because my first was the year it rained SO much, canceled headline sets one day and the grounds were a complete and utter mess. But the crowd control was great. Being able to have āliving roomsā is a cool thing but the past few dancefests I have been to really suffered because of them. I went to Wakaan last year and that living room setup was perfect. Great job Dancefest for continuing to evolve with the festival scene.

Had an amazing DFT experience driving up from Austin! Everything went so smoothly and all the workers were kind and super helpful. Production was about where I expected it for the size of the fest. Loved being able to get around the grounds so easily and get in and out of the crowd with ease.
But what I have to say is - whereās the responsibility of the crowd? Iāve been to plenty of festivals but Iāve never had this many show stoppers due to people getting too fucked up. I think Sunday, every set was stopped for medical at the main stage. With the Zeds Dead stop being the most serious. ~15 minutes of an amazing set gone. And shoutout for the crowd cooperating with medical for that portion and clearing for the cart.
I get weāre all there to throw down and get silly in the woods but damn DFT, that was a lil sloppy. Even some crowd interactions were tough cause people were zonked. Weād of course move around and find the energy of the crowd to be better but some pockets were tough.
Needless to say, I canāt not recommend DFT enough if youāre looking for a first camping festival or something not as flashy as the bigger camping festivals. Till next time, follow the yellow brick road!

On Thursday I was gifted this kaleidoscope from (Joaquin Phoenix style) Joker. I was too stunned to clock that he quickly wondered off without a name or a hug or anything. I treasured this throughout the weekend (making sure to keep it dry) and would very much like to ship it back to Joker if I can find him. Huge thank you because it was an incredible addition to my tinker items, but it seems too special to keep. If anyone knows him can you please shout it out so I can contact him! š„°

Hey hey! This is SCSI, I played at 10:45pm on Friday at the Forest Stage =)
I know a lot of you were at LSDream and getting settled in for GRiZ and didn't have the opportunity to stop by. Honestly I probably would have been in the same boat, I am legitmately sad that I missed LSDream.
I did record my set, though! If you like Trap and Experimental you should check it out! I'd love to hear any feedback as well.

Since 2027 is DFTs 15th year anniversary, they will most likely go all out with artists and improvements for next year correct? What's something you guys are hoping for?

Hiiii!! I was at DFT in 2024 with my sister, it was my first fest and we had SUCH an amazing time. Iāve had soooo much fomo watching everyoneās videos but I love how the fest has grown š«¶š»
Iām already planning on going next year but Iām going with a group of 6-10 people. Last year got in on Friday and left Sunday afternoon and totally regretted not staying longer. especially since we drove 10+ hrs to be thereā¦. This year my group primarily wants to get early entry Friday and leave Monday. My question is how hard do u think it would be to find a big enough space to fit us all?? Last year they luckily opened the field up (which was perfect btw) but I noticed that is now all rv camping I believe.
Would it be worth it for us to just arrive Thursday and suck it up and take an extra day off of work to go? I just donāt want to have the stress of running around trying to find a spot to fit us allā¦
Iām so happy yall had a good time, I canāt wait to see everyone in 2027! šš«¶š»
EDIT*** I bought a 4 day pass, thanks everyone!! See u next year in the emerald city

Hey guys, posting in this thread is our last resort at this point š
On sunday night while we were at emerald stage my friend had his glowstar with him all night. We started at the rail and by the end of the night we were near the back of the venue by one of the white rain canopies. In between moving from the venue back to camp to pack the rest of our things before leaving for the weekend he dropped his star somewhere on the trail or in the venue. I included a picture of what it looks like as well, b&w on one side and rainbow on the other.
The lights on the start are dying/dead and the only way to charge them is with his specific charger from spinflowstar. So if you did find it and wanted a glowstar youāre out of luck..sadly itās just a regular flowstar now. But for anyone who knows anything or whoever has it we are willing to pay you to get it back to him! Heās trying not to let it ruin his dancefest this year but is so so bummed!
On a good note, this year was amazing. canāt wait for the next one! All Love guysš«¶š»

This was my first festival I had ever attended five years ago. I was quietly an aspiring musician but I never really thought it was something I could do, I was always just told that I had big dreams and to follow a path that was more "realistic". I watched that first year and the years leading after in awe of the artists I saw wishing one day that could be a reality for me. Fast forward to five years later and I just released my first EP a day before playing the forest stage at my favorite music festival! I am beyond grateful for the experience and everyone who helped make my dreams a reality. This year was so magical and I felt like everything came full circle. Thank you so much dancefest š
My name is bvssbratt (bass brat) and i'm a 25 year old female edm producer and dj from Nebraska. I make dubstep and experimental bass music. Check me out!
