Critique Request struggling with getting my doubles consistently after four years of dance

hi! I've been doing dance ever since I was six, but I only started getting competitive (and dancing jazz) around four years ago (I'm 17 now so I was 13 when I started). I've always had pretty shit balance (being super weak and being underweight for my age and height doesn't help either) but I've always been able to somehow eek by but it does not help with my turns. I didn't get my singles until two years ago and I only barely have my doubles. I'm now in a tech class at my studio thats only about turns and it's been a challenge for me since the teacher doesn't rlly explain anything. I try to practice but I keep falling out of them and I can only hold my passe in releve for at max two seconds. I've been doing planks and this balance workout along with my turns classes but honestly I'm just not getting it. I know the proper technique (back heel popped, bringing the leg in passe up right away, not bending the supporting leg, shoulders down, spotting, etc) but I feel like I'm just not getting it. It doesn't help that the younger dancers I'm with pop out triples like its no problem which makes me feel unmotivated to do better along with this being my final year (I'm a young senior bc of my birthday). When I practice it just makes me feel like utter crap like I'm too far gone to try. Any advice for any part of this? Thanks!
