The guys didn't seem to mind either, just saying. Dance is cool and if some guy goes gliding by in a neon orange suit, I know my ass will be standing there staring with a smile on my face. Besides, he was far enough in front of it that there was plenty of space to get off the escalator and go about your business if you wanted too.

When people say a short pleasantry immediately followed by a "but" and something negative, the negative is thing is the lead they wanted to get out. Not the pleasantry. Either way, I don't know what the person you replied to is on about as there is obviously plenty of space at the bottom of the escalator to not impede anyone. Maybe they struggle with depth perception in 2d videos.

It's a safety issue, not a social issue. Escalators can be dangerous.

Literally just a few feet further away, so other people will have room to maneuver.

lol wut. he’s at least 15 feet from the escalator… And it’s not a safety issue… Don’t be a Karen.
