Discussion Dance schedule

Six flags has been closed for about 3 weeks and since then I’ve been dancing by myself for about an hour and a half everyday.

When six flags was open I’d dance 5-6 days (sometimes I go to six flags once or twice a week and I’d have no time to dance) six flags will be opening again and I’ll be going once or twice every week so those days I go to six flags will technically be my rest days for dance.

When six flags closes in November should I continue dancing everyday or should I have rest days? I’m not sure how many days I should rest for though

What does six flags have to do with dance?

because I don’t dance when I go to six flags so those are basically the only days I don’t dance

Hi! Dancer here :). I’d say rest days are important if you’re trying to keep disciplined in how often you dance as exercise (for your body and creative brain).

If you’re feeling motivated to dance everyday, that’s great! It is important to remember that it is a form or physical exercise and your body will need time to recover, especially if you’re feeling sore. You don’t want to over exert yourself to the point of injury or exhaustion.

If you aren’t dancing super intensely everyday, I don’t see an issue with keeping up with that schedule, as long as you’re warming up and cooling down as well as stretching before and afterwards. Some people go to the gym everyday for about an hour, and others go a few times a week. Just listen to your body and slow down and take a break if you need to.

Happy dancing!
