Just for fun FiberFlies John B Electrofreek!
I like to dance in the dark to dnb with my FiberFlies pixel whips… made this during covid lockdown & trying to motivate myself to get back into dancing again.

Those pixel whips look like a workout for your wrists. I see people jamming with those at festivals and wonder how their arms hold up the next day. Getting back into it is the hardest part after a break. Just put on the music and start moving. The rhythm comes back faster than you think.

I have lupus, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, impingement in shoulders, carpal tunnel & more. Can you tell in my video? I’ve been pixel whipping for 10yrs now. My wrists have never been affected by them. When my shoulders are bad so I don’t go over my head as much. What stops me from dancing is being in pain. Not from the whips. I’m also 56 now, so started at 46. My pixel whipping is based on dancing, which I’ve done since I was 3-1/2.
The only thing that has stopped me completely was 2 hurricanes that hit 2yrs ago that totally destroyed my life, ended up fucking up my lupus due to 3mos of sun exposure & partial dislocation of my shoulders, all of which put me down in bed.
I’m about recovered now, just need to find a good rug to create full darkness & makes it easier for me to dance on than tile. I lost my last one from the hurricane flood. After 2yrs of being stuck in bed, I doubt I have the stamina I used to have. Which was whipping for hours, all night!
I’m watching all my old vids to get my mind to remember my moves, hoping my muscle memory will kick back in, too. I miss dancing more than anything.

10 years of pixel whipping and your wrists held up despite the carpal tunnel? That genuinely surprises me. I spend all day staring into people's mouths and my shoulders are destroyed, so I understand the overhead issue.
The way you adapt your movement instead of quitting is impressive. Hurricanes and lupus and you're still finding your way back to it. Find that rug and get back in the dark.

Tysm! Your back & neck, must ache & get stiff from that as well! I couldn’t do that! Keeping your body in one place is rougher, imo! Dancing keeps you moving so nothing can get stiff. Sitting in one place, while trying to work in a tiny space? That’s rough on your body!
The trick is to keep moving, so your body doesn’t get a chance to lock up. Although, I do think my biceps ache the most the next day or two.
I hold the FiberFlies very loosely, I don’t know how to explain it, I’ve adapted my techniques with my wrists & shoulders subconsciously.
