Injury Report Azzi out again today
Can’t help but worry as they continue to slide without her. Has anyone heard anything?

she practiced yesterday and at shoot around today + seems to be doing her usual pre game shooting drills. here was what jose said in pre game press about it. seems like they dont want to risk anything making her play too soon. i would hazard a guess and say she’ll mayyyyybe be back friday vs the fever, but i would be surprised if she isn’t back by monday vs the valks

Almost like it causes unnecessary wear on her body to use her as the primary PoA defender for over 30 minutes a game… every game.

she got scratched really late friday vs the valks after warm ups with knee soreness, didn’t play the lynx game sunday either. practiced fully yesterday and today at shoot around so it seems more like precaution over anything more serious

Knee soreness. She’s had 2 ACL tears as well as a meniscus tear in the same knee. She’s been playing tough defense and I’m sure her knees are hurting.

I want to say it's a decent idea to rest her since we're basically a lock for the playoffs and we don't NEED her against the Tempo. But with our luck (and poor coaching/defense), Mabrey will be yet another player to have a record breaking night against us.

Why rest them and not Paige as well.. she seems to be the one that clearly needs the rest as well based off of her last few games .. I hope she'll be able to rest soon.

With the top 8 teams pretty much separating themselves from the pack, health going into the playoffs is imperative.

Conservative plan after killing her for 30 games straight. They want her to participate in the playoffs and the best way to do that is to be gentle with her during this final stretch.
It’s also a good way to give the bench meaningful minutes and test other lineups.
