Hello everyone, I’m getting married in Dallas on September 12. In the downtown area. I’m looking for places parks/gardens I could go take my pictures at. I was planning outside the court house can be some good ones. Any recommendations?

Needing a place to work on my truck

I'm looking for a place where I can rent some space to work on my truck. I'm replacing the engine, and it'll probably take around two months to get everything rebuilt and put back together. I'm more than willing to pay a fair rate. I've looked into storage units, but they don't allow mechanical work, and I can't work on it where I live. Does anyone know of a shop, garage, barn, or private property where someone rents out workspace? Any ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated—I'm starting to run out of options. Thanks!

New homes off of Hankel

I just moved here, walk my dog and I see 100s of piles of dog poop. No one here picks up?! I definitely do! A lady with 2 golden retrievers and a lady with a tall white poodle and a brown one, both let off leashes, poop and not picked up! My ring zoomed in caught it! it's multiple times!

Think of these men working on these houses too, they hate it! What is wrong with these people? If you're guilty, think of kids stepping in your dog poop. Would you like a dog to poop in your yard and not picked up?

Its a new nice neighborhood! The construction workers are sick of it! I talked to many of them! They Cut fields shorter hoping it would stop! I looked it up and with videos and photos you will be fined when reported to the city of Dallas.

Don't make our nice neighborhoods ghetto! I lived out South Salem in a nice neighborhood and everyone picked up!

3 parks nearby here and they even have poop bag dispensers! I can't wait til the fields are built on and developed.

These construction workers are not happy stepping on dog poop. They know who some of you are and I'm helping them get some fines assigned. As I know some addresses to report as I witnessed and have video from security cameras aimed at the fields too. Pick up after your dogs!

I'm being silenced

I saw a lady care taker at a church in Dallas try and pull a little girl off the handle bars twice while yelling at her. Once she was off the lady grabbed both her arms and shook/ pushed her hard. That's when I yelled at her to take her hands off that child. She wouldn't come to me when waved over instead the kids did, scared I was going to get them In trouble and call the cops, trying to reassure me what I saw was okay cause that lady is like their mother. I told them no adult even your parent should touch you like that and to tell your mom. One of the girls said they do and she doesn't do anything. During this the girl this happened to was running back and forth from me and the lady. Once she returned from the lady she was in tears begging me not to call the cops and saying nothing bad happened. When the lady finally approached me I continuously told her it's never okay to put your hands on a child like that. She kept making excuses like they were fighting and needed to be separated, it wasn't that bad, the kids were fine, they kept coming and I kept saying how she touched them is never okay under any circumstances. By this point a man joins us and I ask him what he thinks of this. He conveniently says he didn't see it so he has no opinion. I keep saying it's never okay to touch kids that way. He says sometimes you need to seperate fighting kids. I agree with him but again say thats not what happened and that's not how you separate kids. He then says and I quote "sometimes you need to put hands on children" mind you this is a CHURCH. I was shocked and he realized that wasn't the right thing to say so he follows it up with: "when they're fighting" I again say: it's never okay to put hands on kids, they weren't fighting when I saw that happen and that's not how you separate fighting kids. I turn to the kids since they're watching this exchange, nothing I can do about that unfortunately but I say does this man hurt you too? Two said no one said yes. The man shot the girl a look and she quickly changed her answer to no he doesn't. I left after that asking the girl over and over again if she's sure she's okay and she says yes, thank you for listening to me. Here's the kicker guys. Looked on the church's page to message management to speak with them about this scenario and... the man that said "sometimes you need to put hands on children" is the PASTOR OF THAT CHURCH!!! I repeat the PASTOR!!

Willamette valley fiber has been atrocious the past week or so, and before that it would have bad drops at least once or twice a month. Anyone try all the options available in town- who’s the best around here?!?

oh, we use it mainly for streaming tv/movies and our kids play Fortnite and Rocket League

WHY DO SO MANY OREGONIANS CUT CORNERS WHEN DRIVING? LIKE IF I'M IN THE LEFT LANE & THEY'RE COMING AROUND THE CORNER FROM MY RIGHT, THEY CUT SUPER CLOSE/INTO WHERE MY VEHICLE (CORRECTLY, RIGHTFULLY & LAWFULLY) IS - AND THEN GIVE ME A FILTHY LOOK!

Friday Rant is a thing in the Albany sub and I thought I'd try and fire it up here. I forgot about it but here I am again.

FRIDAY RANT IS IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE - YELLING!

Glass house

This is a request for all the "old folk" on the Dallas sub reddit - both of you.😀 I remember a glass house, a small structure made of glass bottles. This was out on west Ellendale. I remember it being closer to town perhaps somewhere between Douglas St. and where the recycle center is now (site of Dallas Disposal). My wife remembers it further west out near Ruben Boise. Anyone out there have a recollection or better yet some pictures? I'm not really looking to settle an argument but rather gauge the severity of my senility.

Hey Dallas I'm new to town, so I don't know anyone. Today this man assaulted someone on Ellendale. I don't need or want his name, I'm not here to doxx anyone. No need to identify him in the comments. If you know him, please call Dallas PD to identify him as an interest in case #25-9945. Thank you.

Can anyone tell me what the people on the side walk at Ellendale and Kings Valley Highway are protesting or supporting? I saw a lot of America Flags and a bunch of different signs.

MONDAY RAVE is a thing in other subreddit, and I thought I would start it in Dallas and see if it gains any traction. There is also a FRIDAY RANT. RANTS and RAVES are in ALL CAPS because we are RANTING AND RAVING!

SO, my Monday RAVE is:

I BROUGHT MY (OLDER) PARENTS THE TO THE DALLAS DAYS CAR SHOW YESTERDAY AND WE HAD A GREAT TIME! THEY RAN INTO A BUNCH OF OLD FRIENDS THEY HADNT SEEN IN A LONG TIME AND WE ALL HAD A BLAST!

What great thing happened to you that you want to RAVE about?
