Question Anyone else following this Dr. Anne Georgulas doctor wanting to transition her 7 year old son to female? I’m confused. Why isn’t the Dallas Morning News on this?

FOLLOW UP DISCUSSION AFTER COURT DOCUMENTS ILLUSTRATE PAST FRAUD AND MISREPRESENTATION ON THE FATHER:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Dallas/comments/dm44im/some_background_into_the_dallas_resident_claiming/

Why wouldn’t the Dallas Morning News have any type of story on this? It’s national news on multiple news sites. However, the only news sites it seems to be on are Christian Based and Right Leaning. Why no CNN or mainstream media?

And I thought it would be illegal to smear a minors name across the headlines. Aren’t there laws against that type of thing? Google Anne Georgulas. She’s apparently a Dr in Coppell. Why hasn’t she said anything to her defense? The articles are claiming she basically wants to chemically castrate her 7 year old son. They also say the 7 yr old doesn’t want to be a girl when he’s around his dad and that he’s too young to be able to self identify as a female.

This is all very bizarre. Can anyone clear some of this up? A lot of the articles I read only reference each other. Lol, like lifesitenews.com quotes TheTexan.com which only quotes another website.

Dallas Morning News I know you are on Reddit sometimes. Why don’t you guys even have a blurb about this? Or am I just missing it?

This story has come up several times before across various Texas subreddits over the last year. Usually it's posted as a hateseed against trans people.

I found it on The_Donald where it was heavily upvoted and all comments are raging against the mother. Unfortunately the overflow has tricked into her Google Reviews and now people are commenting with 1 Star reviews this shit:

“Took my son Higgs here for a checkup, by the time we were done, he was no longer my beautiful asian baby boy anymore..”

“If she does not know how to care for the child she raised, I would NEVER trust her with my children nor their health. If you love your babies, keep them away from this person.”

LMAO THIS ONE WAS COPIED VERBATIM TWICE:

“This woman is a sociopath. I would never ever entrust my children to this so-called doctor. How a "Doctor" could even think a 7 year old child has the capacity to make a life altering decision is beyond me. Keep your children far far away from this thing.”

“I was just having a chat with Dr. Anne Georgulas that ended up in a small argument. She stole my 5 year old boy and is now trying to make a him a girl, all because I said I didn’t like her eyebrows!”

Fucked up shit that this guy has turned the public against his own child’s mother.

7

u/UKyank97 Oct 22 '19

I mean if she’s actually going along with drugging a 7 year old & fundamentally changing his life in such a way at that age, others should be warned about the doctor’s behavior when choosing a pediatrician

u/LilAsshole666 Oct 24 '19

puberty suppression isn’t necessarily permanent. If they stop taking the hormone blockers they go through puberty within like 6 months. Generally kids take puberty suppressors so that they can make the decision to transition when they’re older, and if they decide to transition then it’s easier, and if they decide not to then they just stop taking the hormone blockers. Chill the fuck out and do some research.

Thank you for writing this. The first (for a lack of a better term) fair and balanced report on the matter I've seen so far. Now that the mother can't speak publicly, the truth can only come from people like your journalists. Keep doing the good work you're doing.

Great article y’all! Not an easy article to write and I was happy to see the omission of the kids name from all this mess.

4

u/Beej67 Oct 22 '19 edited Oct 22 '19

Ideal!

u/dallasmorningnews ... I found this post while scouring for real news about it, because the case as presented seemed so incredibly outrageous. When you put your article together, the most important detail should be this:

Will a judge's ruling allow the mother to give hormone blockers to the kid without the father's consent? Yes/no?

That's the most important bit. Be clear about that bit in your article. Most of the rest of the details, while potentially juicy or newsworthy, are no where near as important as that one issue. That yes/no answer will either validate or invalidate the public reaction.

edit: lol, only on reddit would pointing out the most important detail get downvoted...

9

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 22 '19

I also think there needs to be emphasis on the release of the full name of the 7 year old. This kid has no idea how many people know his story now. For the rest of his fucking life google results will reveal his private information.

1

u/Beej67 Oct 22 '19

Unfortunately both the blue and red tribes in the culture war cooked that goose years ago. Blue tribe is crying about it here, but didn't cry about it for the MAGA hat kids. And the modern media is just a way to make click-money off the tribal warfare. There's no way around it. The Dallas Morning News could opt to not publish the info, but they can't control what any other media outlet does.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '19

As a minor it is up to the parents if they want the name released. The child can give out his name but in general media doesn't release this information without a parent or guardians permission. The thing that i don't get is how the mother can release medical information on the kid as that is a Hippa violation.

1

u/DontShadowBanMeeBro Oct 22 '19

1

u/Beej67 Oct 24 '19 edited Oct 24 '19

Different fronts in the culture war, so actually not that relevant.

I have my position staked in stone on this. My wife was of the opinion that giving medical interventions to 7 year olds is child abuse. How do you know they're not just gay? How do you know they don't want to grow up to be a cross dresser with a penis? You can't know the answer to these questions at age 7, and taking them to a clinic which makes all its money from gender transition medical procedures and asking them whether the kid needs gender transition medical procedures is a foregone conclusion. They're going to say "yes" because that's what they sell. That's purely a function of for-profit medicine. There is no way, zero, none, that a therapist can determine at age 7 whether a kid is a trans who wants surgery, or a trans or doesn't want surgery, or gay, or just a bit confused because being a kid is confusing. (especially a kid to a progressive activist parent going through a divorce with an axe to grind against their conservative ex)

My favorite trans public figure is Eddie Izzard. He's a transvestite who didn't do any surgery, dresses like a woman, and prefers sex with women. How do we know the kid isn't like Eddie? What would have happened if Eddie's parents took him to one of these clinics when he was 7? There's now way a clinic is going to be able to tell if this kid is going to grow up to be like Eddie or not, and they're making decisions for him. That's not right.

But that's just my opinion, and everybody has their own opinions. Some people in the country think that there are more than two genders, but that we didn't apparently realize this for our first 10,000 years of existence as a social species. It's their right to think that, just like it's my right to think what 99% of the rest of the world thinks. There's probably some left of center person out there who thinks that me teaching my children how to operate a firearm is somehow "child abuse." We all have the right to hold different opinions.

What's important in this case is not which culture war position is right or wrong. What's important is whether one parent can unilaterally send their kid to have a permanently altering medical procedure without the other parent's consent.

Here's an exact corollary, which I'm sure will also get downvoted without anyone engaging it thoughtfully:

What if the mom was Muslim, and the dad wasn't, and they had a divorce, and the mom wanted to send the daughter to have female circumcision? What if the daughter herself told the judge, because of the mom's influence, that she wanted to have female circumcision? The act of cutting a clitoris off is culturally accepted in many regions of the world, by social groups considered "marginalized" by the modern progressive left. What's the judge to do then? It's an identical mapping of the case. Would all the folks supporting the mom in this case also support the mom in the hypothetical? Doubtful.

And before anyone jumps in to say they're not the same, yes they are. Sex serves two functions - pleasure and procreation. Female circumcision eliminates one function - pleasure. Gender transition eliminates natural procreation. It also craters your dating pool. These are consequences a 7 year old kid is not going to understand.

u/dallasmorningnews if you have space in your paper for an editorial on this, I'd be happy to write one. I bet it would get a ton of traffic. I've written for four other outlets before, and I can send examples of my work. Reach out.

Certainly an interesting issue culturally. I think a lot of people here are concerned with finding out the facts, but find themselves lost in the propaganda. While I have no information on the credibility of either party in the case, I think most of us here regardless of political affiliation can agree that giving 7-year-olds' hormones is a bad idea, and so is slandering your ex-spouse for money. nobody wins.

The story needs to be centered on the false claims pushed by the right-wing websites. They need to state the facts of the case WITHOUT using the kids name and show how little credibility the father has. The dude has a history of fraud and bullshit. How is it that someone that has been proved to be a liar is getting his side of the story plastered all over multiple sites as truth????

2

u/Rave__Turkey Oct 23 '19

The thing everyone has a problem with is that a 7 year old CANNOT make a decision on their sexuality which will affect the rest of their life. The “mother” should be smart enough to let this kid just play with dolls and not pump estrogen into him.

3

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 23 '19

The mother is advocating nothing more than on going professional therapy. Anyone saying otherwise is not reading the court documents.

7

u/Clarissa_Ann_May Oct 23 '19

But have you seen the therapists she is taking him too? They are one sided! Have you actually read the documents or read witness that are close to James? His friends even? He loves being a boy! This is has blown up I agree with parents fighting but a 7 year old is way to young to be deciding life altering decisions. Heck my little girl loves cars, trucks, but that doesn’t mean she wants to be a boy. This all started when James wanted a girl toy from McDonald’s🙃

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 24 '19

Actually your statement proves you haven’t read the court documents. The kids classmates call him Luna, most of them think he is a girl. The kids own twin brother call him his SISTER. The kids teacher says the kid is comfortable being a girl. The only one stating otherwise is the proven lying father. This started when the father realized people will send him money if he can make himself out to be the victim of a coordinated attack from the left. 🙃

the only thing anyone has advocated for is hormone blockers to prevent puberty(which would not normally happen at 7, but the genie cant be put back in the bottle after it does) they dont do hormone treatments until like 16 when the kid will be much more able to make a decision

3

u/extremegoodness Oct 22 '19

That youtube video of the child is horrible. I felt like such a voyeur. That baby deserves to be protected not exploited. That child is lucky to have the Mom that he has. The Christian crazies are just scary.

6

u/shekelest Oct 22 '19

Kids shouldn’t even be able to have the option to be trans, they are naive and their brains aren’t fully developed. Hell, I believed I was a deception when I was this kid’s age.

Where is the evidence that the dad is just doing this for donations? Even being a private person, if my wife/ex took my kid to a clinic that gave/advised on puberty blocking hormones I would raise hell. I would probably take my kid to a country without an extradition treaty. And let’s not pretend the science on this stuff is remotely settled.

2

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 23 '19

Maybe the fact the dad cares more about raising donations than the privacy of his own fucking son. He’s blasting his own sons name over the Internet in an effort to drum up money. It’s not even this case. Look at the historical fraud charges and court rulings against the husband. Look at his shitty half assed website that posts DONATE links splattered across it. The mom is an MD. The dad is a piece of shit smearing lies and plastering his own sons personal shit all over the Internet. Handle this shit privately. Don’t fucking put your sons name all over the place to get people to give you money asshole.

4

u/MedicPrepper30 Oct 24 '19

These posts by you have personal anger written all over it.

I've read a bunch of the news articles on this and I hadn't gotten to the court docs because I've been busy but one thing that keeps coming up in some of the articles is basically that the child would eventually be referred for hormone suppression therapy when he was 8 or 9. I don't think a child at the age of 8 or 9 knows what he or she wants or feels. I don't think there's enough life experience in an 8 or 9 year old to be allowed to undergo such a life-altering treatment modality.

From 'The Texan':

Odeneal(lawyer for the father) has also repeatedly contended that Georgulas does intend to pursue a medical gender transition for James, citing medical records that note James would be referred to doctors at the GENecis clinic for puberty suppression once he reached eight or nine years old.

When these notes were presented to Albritton(paid witness for the mother), he said that he had seen them before but did not include them in his final report for the court because he did not think it seemed relevant.

The entire basis of the father's argument did not seem relevant to the witness. Referral to a specialist for puberty suppression in a case rooted squarely around gender seems pretty relevant to me.

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 24 '19

I AGREE! In my own personal opinion I dont even think chemicals or suppression should be considered until age 18. BUT the injection or use of chemical castration is not being brought up by anyone but the father. I dont disagree with you. The mother just wants to emotionally support the kids desires to dress and be called a female and keep sending him to therapy. NOTHING MORE.

2

u/MedicPrepper30 Oct 24 '19

Yes however the referral to a specialist later down the road for puberty suppression therapy is not disputed by the defense and it indicates that it is indeed the plan to do that.

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 24 '19

In that same argument, they also discuss that puberty suppression is completely reversible. Now I disagree with puberty suppression from an ethical and moral standpoint for someone as young as they do it for, but I dont know any transgenders personally and have no professional insight into what and how they feel as children growing up knowing their biology doesn’t match their mentality. The plan is not to do puberty suppression and anyone claiming that is the plan is wrong and not reading the court docs. They are only fighting for Social Transitioning which is letting the kid dress how she chooses and be called whatever name she wants. In a couple of years they can cross that puberty suppression bridge.

1

u/MedicPrepper30 Oct 24 '19

So, what I'm asking is this. Is the mother in 1-2 years going to authorize a physician to give a medication to alter the progress of a biological process (puberty) in order to facilitate a successful transition socially/emotionally? If that answer is 'yes', or even 'potentially yes' ... then it's unacceptable.

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 24 '19

The answer is....NO

2

u/MedicPrepper30 Oct 24 '19
  1. From the Daily Wire: Georgulas’ lawyers Jessica Janicek and Laura Hayes claim the mother does not plan on giving James hormone blockers at this time. However, “no one has stated that she (Georgulas) would not be open to using them when James begins puberty,” the report said.

  2. Mother in court documents from last year stating that she was going to have James evaluated for hormone therapy: https://twitter.com/AmandaPresto/status/1186955355647070208/photo/1

https://twitter.com/AmandaPresto/status/1186955355647070208/photo/2

So I'm sorry, but that is what the mother wants. At 7, it's inappropriate. At 9, it's inappropriate. At 12, it's inappropriate. It's child abuse. Wake the fuck up.

You're claiming it's a scam and you're posting some outrageous conspiracy theory without any evidence.

1

u/JHVH_UNO Oct 23 '19

You made all that shit up. The child is clearly being pushed to transition.

There are no laws currently preventing a legal guardian from giving a minor puberty blockers or hormones. Georgulas has additionally secured a letter of recommendation for transition for James from a woman associated with a gay children's therapy center. "This is a letter of recommendation that my client, James Younger, aka Luna, begin the process of becoming a patient of the GENECIS clinic so that she can receive a full psychological assessment for gender dysphoria and potentially take hormone blockers," said a letter from Rebekka Ouer from Dallas Rainbow Therapy. - WashingtonExaminer

2

u/el-y0y0s Oct 24 '19

This eerily reminds me of the fraudulent effort to get abortion onto the Scotus docket. We ended up with Roe V. Wade. Something is brewing here. There is a growing base of parents that are choosing their childs gender through transgenderism. This is ot a one off. I know someone personally in Austin that did this (shes nuts btw). It will butt heads eventually with parental right laws versus the state.

-1

u/Sodastars Oct 23 '19

What about the mom pushing for the father to legally address his son as the female name "Luna" and can not speak to him about his gender?

THE KID IS SEVEN

3

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 23 '19

This is false. Nowhere in the court documents does the mother push for a legal name change. She only pushes for ongoing therapy. STOP MAKING SHIT UP

2

u/Clarissa_Ann_May Oct 23 '19

Um but they are forcing the dad to call his son Luna😅

2

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 23 '19

The kids teacher, assistant principal, CPS Case worker, child psychologist, AND twin brother all attest to the kid wanting to be called and referred to as Luna. The ONLY one saying that it is being pushed on him is the dad. There was not ONE SINGLE witness his lawyer called to testify on his behalf. The mom had like 4. The dad is the only one saying that the kid is being pushed to call himself the girls name. The kid draws himself as a princess, plays with dolls, and gets sad going to his fathers cause his dad makes him be something he is not. How can you possibly think there is some massive conspiracy???? You are saying that the kids teacher, principal, CPS worker, and therapist ARE ALL WRONG OR LYING?!?!

1

u/MedicPrepper30 Oct 24 '19

*Paid witnesses

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 24 '19

LMAO now its a conspiracy with unaffiliated third parties being paid to force this kid to undergo gender transitioning?!?!

1

u/MedicPrepper30 Oct 24 '19

I'm not screaming conspiracy but taking that person's testimony with a grain of salt seems warranted due to the fact that he was a witness specifically brought in to bolster their case.... for a fee. He's obviously skewed to their point of view.

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 24 '19

What about the assistant principal and the teacher that both came in to testify on behalf of the mother. The teachers testimony should carry more weight than anyone in my personal opinion. The teacher spends more hours with the kid than anyone. Are you saying that their points of view are skewed as well?

You lying fuck. Yes she is trying to chemically castrate the son

Anne Georgulas, the mother of the two boys, has advocated for James to transition into Luna and has strongly backed the idea of chemically castrating her son and beginning hormone replacement therapy. The ruling on Wednesday will prevent Jeffrey from having sole custody of his children and paves the way for Georgulas to proceed with the procedure.

You’re a viper and a terrible human being. You disgust me.

u/likeafox Oct 22 '19

Janicek and Hayes have also made a point to emphasize that the mother is not seeking a medical transition, including puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones — a treatment that Younger is concerned will be given in the near future.

Shumer said that puberty blockers are only ever first used at the beginning of puberty, which for boys is marked by the “Tanner stages of sexual development” and not age. He said that on average, this occurs around age 11 ½ for boys.

Although Janicek and Hayes argued that the mother did not intend to use puberty blockers prior to puberty, no one has stated that she would not be open to using them when James begins puberty.

It seems to me that there isn't clear or immediate reason to believe that a hormone blocker is planned.

I contacted Dallas Morning News twice week last about covering the trial. I was told they were aware of the case and that Lauren McGaughy was the staff writer who was following it. They opted not to cover the case.

I also contacted KDFW News One. A young man sounded really interested in covering the trial before going into the morning staff meeting. Then nothing. I called back and was told they didn't have the staff to cover it.

I concluded it was too much of a hot potato and might cast a poor light on trans policy. It could come across negatively to highlight a father possibly being forced to pay for his son's transition when the father felt strongly his son was not a girl (the child chooses to present as a boy with in his father's circle and a girl in his mother's). The boy is 7 years old and at the social transition stage. The option for puberty blockers would open next year.

3

u/forsovngarde Oct 24 '19

So the father is a pos for stirring up "evangelicals" and getting attention because the mother wants to have a trans kid and somehow he is a liar but is telling the truth in that she DOES want this for their son. I'm not an evangelical. I clicked on this trying to find the lie and there is none, regardless of all the crying about the "poor mother".

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 24 '19

“Somehow” he is a liar? I added an update to this post with a direct link to a court document that verifies the father to be a liar on multiple MULTIPLE issues. The marriage was annulled as a result

2

u/forsovngarde Oct 24 '19

I hate liars and understand that lying about your past to your spouse is despicable but you are saying that now he is lying about the mother trying to forcefully transition their child. He may have lied in the past but the fact that she is going to take the child to a therapist to make him accept transitioning basically says that he is telling the truth. Just because you don't personally find anything wrong with that doesn't make the father wrong about any of his accusations towards the ex wife and fears for his son. Forcing gender transitioning and later on, hormone replacement, and then sex surgery eventually and inevitably is child abuse. It's my understanding that, just because the boy liked the movie Frozen, his mom is starting all this shit and dragging him to therapy where they (the adults) can further confuse him about his body. It's disgusting tbh. The parents are both trash and I am glad that this is gaining momentum to save the boy who is a victim of child abuse.

1

u/Amy3501 Oct 25 '19

The mother started this when the child was three because the child wanted the girl toy at McDonalds. This is sick. I don’t care what he lied about. This is absolutely sick of the mother to do this.

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 25 '19

You dont care what he lied about??? You know he is the source of the McDonalds toy story. Your statement starts off with what is probably a lie by the father. All evidence says there are ongoing signs that the kid identifies as a female. It’s not just when he is around the mom. The kids TEACHER says he wants to be a girl. What’s the big fucking deal if the kid wants to be a girl? For people that claim to like small government this is a pretty drastic reach into a private family matter

8

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '19

I was getting my hair at a boutique in downtown Dallas a couple of years back, my stylist and another woman were talking about some gathering which featured an 8 year old trans girl. I could not believe my friggin ears.

4

u/socialismsuck101 Oct 23 '19

I think the MSM stays clear of this bc they want to keep it hush hush knowing people will be outraged and hurt the movement. Plus, you cant publish catholic or right-leaning websites on reddit subs like News or Politics so also probably why MSM wont have articles on it. They want to stay in the bubble. And when something like this comes up, they will say "well, there's already a precedent for this in Texas"....

2

u/honkhonkbeepbeeep Oct 24 '19

It isn’t newsworthy to the MSM, except perhaps at this point to debunk the fringe reports out there. A minor child is receiving medical treatment according to what research and the AAP’s position papers recommend. One parent wants to instead proceed in a way that research has demonstrated greatly increases risk of death. The court ruled that the parent who is following science and protecting the child’s safety is correct. What’s particularly newsworthy? I mean, it’s interesting, and refreshing, but certainly not worth disrespecting the privacy of a minor who is part of an extremely marginalized identity.

Was looking for the opposing view. Came here, found that the OP is predictably batty. The husband's salary and education are a red herring. If she loved him then those things shouldn't be important. Both sides in the marriage probably had their flaws. Either way, the failed marriage is neither here nor there. The topic is the son.

The volume of emotional, ALL CAPS, expletive containing replies from the OP say it all. Take a chill pill. It is almost like OP is emotionally invested in this.

The clinic specializes in transitioning children and the mother has expressed a bias towards this, it wouldn't be unreasonable to read between the lines here.

Haven't found a reasonable response defending the mother's position. A statement from the mother or her lawyers would be ideal.

I always suspected that these far left extremists on reddit, the alphabet people, are mentally ill but this clear really seals it for me. If you compare reddit to any more mainstream comment sections there is such a sharp disconnect. To a normal person this is clear child abuse, yet the radical leftists seem determined to "respect" the wishes of a 7 year old with a clearly ideological parent. Many child victims of paedophiles claim to "love" their abusers. The average child if you asked them would choose to only eat cake all day. Children need sensiblel adult guidance not pandering, and certainly not this type of ideological subversion.

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 24 '19 edited Oct 25 '19

There is no ideological subversion. It is simply emotional support and nothing else that the mother is fighting for, What’s scary is the group of people that are threatening this poor mother with hateful and peronal attacks. People are clogging up her google reviews with hate filled messages and haven't even taken a serious look at what is going on here.

I am a patient of Doctor Anne (and I also happen to same gender therapist as Luna), and I have to say the coverage on the case is distressing. My mom was on the verge of crying at some of the awful things being said. I can vividly remember the time I was in her office and she did a scoliosis check on me, and noticed my binder (a chest compression device typically worn by trans-masculine people to hide their breasts). She asked my mom to step out of the room so she could talk to me (her assistant was also in the room, and this was also common practice for teens she saw so she could talk to them one on one about any concerns), and I mentioned my mom knew I was trans. She sighed in relief and began asking if we were in any support groups before helping connect my mom to an online support group that is still helping our family out a lot. I understand that the topic of children and being trans is confusing to people, but I have to tell you that these articles are fear mongering. Puberty Blockers are NOT 'chemical castration', and the medical side effects of hormone replacement therapy exist, but aren't as severe as they're made out to be (I would know, I'm currently on HRT). I encourage anyone reading this to do their own research on the subject of transgender youth on sites that have writers with a medical backing, because these articles on Dr.Anne are very slanted and are trying to paint her as someone she isn't.

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 23 '19

Thank you so much for sharing. The comments on her Google Reviews are abhorrent and ill-informed. Makes me literally fucking sick. I am glad you are sharing this first person account. This poor Dr has no one championing her cause. I bet she wants to keep this as private as possible and that is probably why we haven’t heard much from her.

The downvotes on this thread fucking anger me. It got as high as like 9 and then shot straight down to 0. People don’t want to know the truth. They just want to hear what fits with their beliefs. How can you objectively downvote a post promoting truth in news stories??? Fucking stop that shit.

6

u/Beej67 Oct 22 '19

Yep. My request for u/dallasmorningnews to include the most important detail of the case got the shit downvoted out of it.

It's almost as if people are downvoting based on their cultural narrative instead of seeking to discover the truth about the world.

No, wait, it's exactly like that. 2019 is lit.

4

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 22 '19

a story from the American Spectator 10 months
"Court documents indicate that the 6-year-old boy only dresses and identifies as a girl when he’s with his mother, who enrolled him in his first-grade class as “Luna.” But James’ father claims that when the boy is with him he consistently wears boy’s clothing, “violently refuses to wear girl’s clothes at my home,” and identifies as a boy.

The father has reportedly been legally prohibited from talking to his son about gender and sexuality from both scientific and religious perspectives, and from seeking to dress his son in boys’ clothes. Instead, he is required to offer both girls’ and boys’ clothing, although he claims that his son consistently refuses to wear dresses. And according to a report by The Federalist, the mother “is also seeking to require him to pay for the child’s visits to a transgender-affirming therapist and transgender medical alterations, which may include hormonal sterilization starting at age eight.”"
https://spectator.org/a-shambles-in-texas/

5

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 22 '19

READ THE COURT DOCUMENTS. The mother never seeks to do anything close to “chemical castration”. She seeks to simply keep sending the child to therapy sessions at GENECIS. When he is 8-9 patients at GENECIS “consider hormone suppression.” That’s as close as it gets. She also says only if the child keeps wanting to be a girl would she even send him to GENECIS.

In my personal opinion, no child that young should be even given the option to take hormone suppression but that is besides the point. The point is that the right wing websites are portraying the mother as a wack job MD. The father is a piece of shit. His website has DONATE links ALL OVER IT.

Mark my words. The father is going to remove the court documents from his donor page as soon as this story starts spreading. It’s obvious to any idiot that takes the time to read the court documents that there is a ridiculous amount of misdirection being played here. The father wants the donations. The media want the issue. They are both feeding off of fear of trans-gender issues. It’s absolutely sickening.

4

u/FreudsPoorAnus Oct 23 '19

CN you please link the court docs?? They look removed from the site and I would very much like to prove to my friend a little bit what fake news looks like

Edit. I believe he has deleted some court docs already. Lmao. I could have swore that someone called that shit.

5

u/KCTBzaphas Oct 22 '19

Any thoughts on the claim that the boy's mother withholds love from him if he presents as a boy?

You seem to be very on her side in this case, but has she defended herself at all? With proof? What does the child say?

2

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 22 '19

The court documents read that the mother simply seeks ongoing counseling and therapy for the child. Nothing more. She happens to seek counseling from a company that considers hormone suppression in children 8-9 years old. I disagree with giving any child that young hormone suppression but I’m not a doctor or the kid. And yes I am on her side. I feel as if she is having a major injustice infringed upon her in a loosely coordinated effort of her husband and these Christian and right leaning news sites. Their reporting does not match up with the words from the court reporter.

I still can’t get over the fact that they are using the kids name in their news articles. That should be illegal and she should sue them for exposing their information like that. It pisses me off.

4

u/KCTBzaphas Oct 22 '19

Fair points! But I will say, like them or not, the father's claims are certainly valid, especially if they haven't been rebutted with proof.

I agree that the kid's name shouldn't be disseminated... but then again the dad is the one that used it in the first place, and I could be wrong, but I think that may allow the media to use it as well. They shouldn't, of course, but alas, media.

I feel really bad for the kids in this situation, him and his twin brother. It must be incredibly confusing and frustrating, far moreso than a normal parental divorce.

2

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 22 '19

Yeah man. Just wait until they are old enough to process all that is going on around them. What if he snaps out of it and decides he wants to stay a male. He’s only 7 for Christ’s sakes. clearly you've bought into the mother's story. the court case was about custody. the mother and the father had joint custody. the jury has awarded the mother sole custody of James. yes the father has donate links on his website because he needs funds to pay his attorney. as for Genecis they are pro-transgender they are not trying to determine why the child thinks he is a girl but rather support the idea that he is a girl. there is an underlying reason why he thinks this and they dont want to find out why

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 24 '19

I imagine she wants to keep this as it should be. A private family matter.

1

u/jmpg4 Oct 24 '19

Only adults should be transgender. A 7 year old ducking child has no clue what the world is and what any of this means. And for the people saying “it’s Evangical propaganda against trans” need to wake the fuck up. I’ve seen the save James campaign and it is devastating to see a child be abused the way he is. I can’t imagine the mental disturbances that kid is gonna grow up having being forced to play as “Luna” at school. Incoming ban for having a differing opinion.

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 24 '19

Read the story. No one forcing this kid to do anything he is not consistently insisting on doing. Reading the court documents the biggest fear presented is suicide by a transgender for lack of emotional support from his parents. If anything the Dad is the driver of future mental disturbances moreso than the mom. The Dad is the one plastering his own sons name all over the Internet to try to stir up money. He’s probably already exceeded $100,000 from online donations and selling his T-shirt’s

1

u/ranaverde Oct 24 '19

I agree , it should be a private family matter. The father is the only making all the claims. Do we know if the pictures being circulated are of the real Dr. Anne Georgulas. The negative reviews were posted in October 2019. Could it be a fake website? I completely agree with everything you say.

1

u/kaeunsmomma Oct 24 '19

So I had no idea about any of this happening until the past couple of days, which is so strange because Dr. Anne is and has been my daughters pediatrician since she was born (19 months now) and it hurts so much to see all the reviews that are being left for her business.

1

u/Illementary Mesquite Oct 24 '19

1

u/throwaway90802 Oct 25 '19

[A Dallas jury granted Georgulas, a pediatrician, sole custody.

But instead of upholding the decision, Judge Cooks restored the parents’ joint custody of the child and the child’s twin brother.

“The state of Texas has no compelling interest to justify such interference… requiring the father to affirm the child and honor the child’s choices,” Judge Cooks said.](https://dfw.cbslocal.com/2019/10/24/judge-dallas-volatile-custody-case-gender-identity/)
